As Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways/programs and the number of students who are interested in the programs increase, so should the number of reports available.
Our Department of Education is going to use CTE:

Graduation Rate
PostSecondary Outcome
Equity
rates to evaluate our programs. Similar to our State Testing, PSAT/SAT, and other testing situations where we need to verify testing accommodations and student status (IEP, Section 504, Lunch, and etc), we are going to have to verify the completion, graduation, and equity data.

Verify all email address fields
For ALL emails fields, student details, Parent Details, Emergency Contacts, Staff and TEACHERS:
Verify the validity of email address fields. As a Minimum:
Don't allow commas
Don't allow spaces
Don't allow special characters like !,$,%
Require a @ somewhere in the middle with text before and afterwardsWe have a lot of our extracts with vendors crash every year because of bad data entered into any of the email address fields.

Create Ability to Automatically Generate Letters for Various Reasons
We would appreciate the ability to generate letters for various reasons that will work like the automated attendance letters. Being able to pull students for various demographic reasons would be ideal.

Fee Management Emails
When emailing statements, it would be so helpful to have the option to email to both parents in family 1 - both families would be helpful as well
It would be like the message center then, where you could choose who receives it.

Add 'Other Id' to Absence Occurrence Report.
Add 'Other Id' to Absence Occurrence Report. At the moment the only identifier in this report is the student key and the student name. Adding this will help in better tracking attendance and comparing student attendance improvement over time.

Edit academic standards in Secondary Gradebooks
We are using academic standards in our secondary gradebooks. Once an assignment is created with academic standards attached and then is saved, you cannot edit any of the academic information. For example, the wrong point value is attached to an academic standard. Once the assignment is saved, this value cannot be edited. The entire assignment must be deleted and recreated. We would like the ability to edit academic standards once they are attached to an assignment.

More Automated Email Options
Homeroom and Advisor changes should be on the scheduling or demographic changes for the student. Including it on the Enrollment changes isn't helpful at all because they aren't yet assigned to a homeroom when they are enrolled. So when a new student arrives, we have to go into Skyward to find their homeroom teacher or advisor.

Make Emergency Contacts Phone Number Required Step in On Line Reqistration
During On Line Registration, require that at least one phone number be entered for any Emergency Contact that is added.

Add All Special Programs to Data Mining
There are a number of Special Programs which are not available for Data Mining reports. We would like all available.

Which parent is responsible for the payment of fees
In the student set up have a check box or a field to indicate which parent is legally responsible for the payment of the fees. Usually a problem when there is a 2 family house hold.

Attendance Mail Merge
Similar to the mail merge in discipline, if you can create a freeform that will allow to create documents that pull student information directly from the student profile.
This will be useful for all PA users in completing school attendance improvement plans which are required by the state. Users can create a standardized template that uploads fields with the student information.

While investigating a data import issue with a 3rd party data warehouse, I am slowly discovering the many ways 3rd parties can extract data from our Skyward database. With all the different ways 3rd parties can access our student data (APIs, ODBC, Scheduled Tasks, SkyBuild Exports, SIF), I'm worried about where my ignorance will get me in the event of a data breach. I am especially concerned that API access does not let us restrict or whitelist specific data fields 3rd parties have access to. It also cannot verify what data these 3rd parties are accessing.

Add Emp. ID from Staff record to Data Mining in areas where Teacher is listed such as Schedule.
We send the NameID or EmpID to vendors as the field to identify our teachers/staff. Recently, I needed a field that was in Data Mining. I had trouble finding it in SkyBuild so I thought I was going to have to rebuild my extract in Data Mining, I needed Emp ID (NameID) as the key for teachers but Data Mining only had Alphakey to identify the teachers/staff. We don't use that field when sending data to vendors.

Security to allow user to Administer Medications without being able to Add additional medications
Our school nurses enter the medication in the Medication tab, but trained clerical and paras may administer the medication. Currently I cannot set security to allow a user to administer medication without allowing them access to add additional medication. We would like the ability to set security so only nurses can add, while trained users can administer.

Add Next Eval Review Date to Section 504 Details View
In the Section 504 Entry by Student, we would like to see the Next Eval Review Date field added as a column to Section 504 Details View. That way we can have a filter or sort on when upcoming students are needing their 504 re-evaluated by their review date. This would help administrators in knowing when to re-eval students accordnig to their Section 504 plan and not let the student's needs fall off the radar and conitnue to serve them as best as the school staff can.

Allow skybuild to get the newest 15 Program/Services instead of the oldest.
We have students with more than 15 entries in their Program/Services and since Skybuild returns the oldest 15, we cannot create skybuild reports that have their current info. The pic show a student of whom we cannot get any of his current Programs and Related Services data (the ones circled in red). Please change the order so we have access to atleast the most recent 15.
