Health Conditions to Flow to Critical Alert
We would like the option to have Health Condition flow to the Critical Alert area in Student Profile however this option needs to be at the nurse's discretion so a button to select Show in Critical Alert would be the preference.
Thank you all for the comments and ideas! I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Upon further technical review, it has been decided we will not be moving forward with this request at this time due to the differences in records and complexity of screen and Health Condition specific security.
Please continue to contribute your ideas — they push us to innovate, problem solve, and really understand your needs.
Thank you!

I agree we need the description of the Health Condition. I also really like the idea of a different color for the Health Condition then for other types of alerts that are added. That's a really good idea.

Can we separate Health from custodial issues in Critical Alerts? My district secretaries enter a critical alert if someone is NOT allowed to pick up or receive communications about a child. Unfortunately this has become almost as prevalent as health conditions. Could there be different colors for different types of alerts (ie-health, communication, etc)?

I agree with Deena in that the code description, not the code, should be displayed.

The health conditions that should flow are like the diabetes, seizures,-allergies, etc - medical ones that have a high impact on the student. So it would need to have description not just a code.

This would be a huge timesaver for nurses.

This would be a time save but also prevent user error with forgetting to add the critical alert.

We would like health condition codes to have a check box that would automatically add them to a critical alert. This would allow a nurse to put in a food allergy and it would automatically populate in the Critical Alertpopping up on the screen anytime someone accesses the students record. This would allow the process of adding critical alerts to be stream lined and prevent people from having to do dual entry.
This was a feature that our previous outdated SIS had the ability to complete. When you are adding a health condition code under the health module a checkbox in the code setup next to the health condition security area that would make the condition a critical alert for the student. The goal of this is to keep all staff updated on a student when a medical emergency happens. If someone forgets to add a critical alert it adds some steps to the student lookup process to find out health conditions. In a medical emergency seconds matter. -

When entering a health condition on a student and the condition should be flagged as a critical alert - it would be such a time-saver if there was an option asking the user to make it a critical alert.
