Student Access - Option to show Credits without GPA
We would like the option to show earned, failed, and pending credits for students in Student Access, withOUT also making GPA's available to view.

Request Courses - Remove a "Selected Course" from the "Available Courses" column
Once a course has been selected in the "Course Requests" for future scheduling please remove it from the "Available Courses". It causes confusion for some as they think there is a bug in the system and creates support calls. Logically, your "Selected Courses" should no longer be "Available Courses".

Student Access - Distance Learning Attendance Check In
Hello:
Create a "check-in" process on distance learing days in which students or their families must check in once per day through Student and/or Family Access. If students don't check in by 11:59PM on any given distance learning day, they will be marked as Unexcused/Not Checked In. See attached example from Infinite Campus.9 votes -
Positive Attendance Button through Student Access
With the current Pandemic and schools closing to go virtual at any time, it would be extremely helpful if we can have a button, by student by class, where a student can check in that they are present. This button should be only available when the district says activate it or if the entity is virtual. The option to activate it for students who are virtual but the school is not should also be available when the student is in the same class. Separate Student Families from the Student Information tab in Student Access
When in Student Access, we have had to shut off the Student Information tab where a student can see their Advisory Teacher, Counselor, and LOCKER NUMBER AND COMBO. They also can see their parent information and Emergency contacts. We feel the Parent Information should be on a separate tab in Student Access that can be toggled on or off by the district. The problem with having this information on the same screen as Locker Info and other pertinent information to the student is that since a student can see information on both Family 1 and Family 2, if a separated/divorced…

Arena Scheduling and Displaying Classes available
When we open Arena Scheduling in Student Access, we need the capability to allow the student to filter (Hide) courses that are unavailable to be scheduled (Indicator F for Full). We have a lot of courses that the students cannot select and they have to keep paging through to get to one they can schedule. This would be a huge help.

Student ID cards via use of the Skyward Mobile App
We utilize printed/physical student ID cards with the student's Other ID as a barcode on the back and Alphakey as a barcode on the front for such processes as navigating through the lunch line, checking in/out library items, and scanning in at the office for those who are late or leave early. There are those who lose, forget, or cannot find their cards so we are constantly reprinting or ordering replacement cards. When selecting curriculum keys in student access career plan you have to select the keys one by one. Would be useful to have the ability to select multiple keys.

Student Grading Notifications
We recently started using Student Access Grading Notifications and informed our students how to set them up. We would like to know how many students are actually using this feature but there isn't a way for us to see that. We would like to see a view added to the Student Access Users Screen similar to what is seen in the Family Access Users Screen titled "Email Notification Alerts." This would give us a quick glance of who has and who hasn't signed up for email grading notifications.

Would like the transcript tab in Family Access
It would be a huge help if students could view the transcript tab in Family Access to see if the school has sent out the transcripts to the colleges that they had requested and when.
65 votesGreat suggestion! One way that transcript sent information can be visible in Family and Student Access is to use Data Mining and the Report Directory. This will even work for any information you can put together in a Data Mining report!
Within Data Mining, after you’ve created the report, you can select which entities you’d want this to be available for Family Access Display tab. You will then need to turn on the Report Directory within the Family Access Entity Configuration (WS\FA\FM\PS\CF\EC) and enable for Student and/or Family Access.
Once setup, your students or guardians can login and navigate to the Portfolio tab and they will be able to run these reports. The benefit to this is that when the report generates, only results for the appropriate student will display.

Hide "Absent" column in Family/Student Access
Our middle school mentioned that atudents are sometimes confused by the "Absent" column in the student gradebook display (picture below) within the "Gradebook" screen of Student Access. This screen appears when the student clicks on a class grade. When the "Absent" column shows a student as "Excused" some students interpret this to mean the assignment is also excused. Teachers are marking it as missing however the display seems to be causing an issue. It would be nice to be able to hide this column from displaying.
