Student Browse - Grade View
In the Student Browse, using the Views: of "Grades", it only shows columns for Semesters. Our middle schools grade on Quarters and a Final. Options for selecting the appropriate Term would be great. Thanks!

We need the ability to capitalize a letter in the a student's name.
We need the ability to capitalize a letter in the a student's name. For example McDougal, currently Skyward does not consistently allow the "D" to be capitalized. We need to be able to input a student name exactly as it appears on a birth certificate. This impacts every category listed above but I chose "Student".

Military Connected Registration Date/Start and End Date
Currently when a parent completes registration (New & Returning), Military Connected data updates including the start and end date per the date registration was completed. We open returning student registration in May during the current school year which causes issues for the current school year's data being that it end dates and/or starts the program within the wrong school year. It would be great if there was a date range for the next school year within configuration. I could enter the school start date and the correct end date for the previous school year.

"STUDENT TYPE" on the ENTRY/WITHDRAWAL tab needs to stay what it's set when the students are rolled up every year
The student type on the entry /withdrawal tab changes every time the student gets rolled up year after year. Why can't it just stay 504, AR, etc? Every year after the rollup we have to go and change the student type because it defaults to REG. Trust me, there are not a lot of REG students. Mostly AR, 504.

LEP and 504 as Y/N fields in Profile like Sped
General demographic reports are that people want are always the same. They want Gender, Race, Sped, English Learner, 504, etc. When trying to set up data mining reports there is an As Of field for English Learner and 504 to pull a yes no that is as of the day you run it. It would be nice to either have that field be variable so you can set this report up to be a scheduled task and it would always pull current information of whether the student is 504 or English Learner. OR add field on the profile tab that…

ELL Score Import Utility - Include transfer of Accommodations and Update list of Accommodations.
Please update the current ELL Score Import Utility to copy over previous year Accommodations and Support Delivery Model info. The accommodations are necessary information for Access for ELL setup in the DRC portal for WI State Testing and can be pulled into the DRC portal. Also the list of Accommodations in Skyward are not the same as in the DRC state testing portal. Can these be updated to match ?

Check-In
Please change the ranges available in all Student Check-In areas (Attendance, Clinic, Discipline & Guidance). It is currently wide open. Meaning, you can choose enter any student who has ever been enrolled in the district. I was able to check-in a student who graduated in 2008 and never attended that particular campus.

Give more options such as special program link, district/entity categories and activity to the student ranges in auto emails

Add another Advisor under the Entity Info tab/Entity information
Currently there is Advisor, Counselor, Discipline Officer - can you add a generic box for a name key/name and then the person's position such as Diagnostician, Speech, etc., and add this to be done in a mass add/change as well.

is it possible to have Skyward auto email a parent when the Progress Reports and Report Cards are posted to the portfolio in Family Access from the Office Side and not use the message center?

Adding a Misc subset category to choose for Student Indicators.
We are using the Misc tab under Special Programs to indicate different categories for student observation. Using this we would like to have indicators show for students.
I was trying this out in our training database and was able to add in an indicator for Supplemental Accelerated Instruction with a green 4 and Safe Team Review with a purple 1. However, it gave a student both indicators as represented in the attached pictures even if they only had one of the categories.
When using the Activity Indicator I can select differnt ones to where I could add multiple different indicators…

Student identified as a TWIN flag
It would be nice to have a new field in SMS 2.0 or even better in Qmlativ that would be used to mark the student as a TWIN. I am seeing more and more names that are very similar, if not the same and has the middle name as the different name. Sometimes I cannot tell if two students named Zavion/Zavior, Everkeigh/Everleigh, Ruth Shamar/Ruth Thamar, Da'Mario/Da;Marion, or Aalanah/Aalayah are the same student with a mispelled name or actually twins.

Change verbiage on the "Distribute Student Demographic Information For" area of the Student / Student Profile tab
Under the"Distribute Student Demographic Information For" area of the Student / Student Profile tab, our Florida district would like the verbiage that appears when you click on the question mark to be changed for the "Public" check box to say :
"The Public flag is normally used to exclude student information from being sent outside the district such as newspapers, Social Media, TV and other media."1 vote -
Add the WISEid field to Student Browse Views
Could Skyward,
1. Include the WISEid in ALL Student Browse/Views
2. Include a “middle initial” field in ALL Student Browse/Views(For background, I asked both Skyward and DPI to confer and come up with a good way for us to compare data from Skyward Student Browse and WISEdash for Districts. It was discussed at their vendor meeting and the resolution was for me to submit a Product Idea, because a project could not be written for it.)

Add the graduated Y/N and Grad Date from profile as an object on student transcripts.
Currently when we print a transcript for a senior that is credit deficient or a dropout, the graduation date is populated from the projected grad date object. This is then very misleading on these transcripts as the student has not graduated. It seems to make more sense to pull the grad date from the profile tab, that way students that are credit deficient or drop outs, would not populate a graduation date. Thank you for considering.

Scan Mobile ID to Load Current Student Profile
Program SMS so that a secretary can scan the students Mobile ID and have the corresponding Student Profile pop up on the secretary's Skyward. This would make the attendance office much more efficient when having to see so many kids face-to-face each day.
