It would be extremely helpful if the system would automatically number the food service payor applications v. us having to number the application and remembering which number we previously left off at.

Have "Other Name" as a screen field option in Food Service POS. It is available for teacher gradebooks but not for the cafeteria.

Scan UPC bar codes in Food Service from Item Master
We would like to be able to scan UPC codes in the Food Service Cashier area. Right now we can scan the 4 character barcodes for the items in the Item Master list. I would like the characters/digits in the name to be increased to 15 so that Product UPCs could be added to the Master List and scanned more easily for Ala Carte.

Customer Meal/Payor Balance Statements should be printed in student's home language. We are required to provide any documents submitted to families in a translated version if requested. At the very least, statements should be able to be translated to Spanish.

Food service balance scan
Is there a way that a student could scan their ID (like a price check at a grocery store) and see their current food service balance? I realize Families and students can see this in the Skyward Family Access app. This option would be made available to students as they start to walk through the line to check their current balance, and see what type of purchase they can make.

Food Service Application Federal Wording
Under Add a Food Service Application we would like the sentence that reads "I do not qualify for benefits or do not wish to complete an application" to be updated to read only "I do not qualify for benefits" and remove the wording that says "or do not wish to complete an application". We would like all families to complete the application if possible and not skip the step to help our school with funding.

Please add a 3rd meal Service option. We have schools that offer the Supper Program and Skyward doesn't have that option. Thank you!

Food Service Application - Consent for Disclosure
We would like to see the Consent for Disclosure set up in a way where parents can Check No or Yes, then make that part of the application required so that we know that this specific part of the application was seen and completed. If the family completes the F/R application in Skyward they would be required to complete the Consent for Disclosure by either Checking the No box putting in their electronic signature and date, or by clicking the Yes box, but if the Yes box is checked they then would be required to complete which program they give…

Nowhere in Food Service does it say who made a payment. It only says Via Web. It does in Fee Management Fee History: Webstore Payment made by (parent name). In Food Service it doesn't say that in the history. Please add this to the history.

SBAA Cash Receipts
I would like to see SBAA Cash Receipts have the flexibility as the Account Management Cash Receipts in changing column order and width in order to have the receipt date on the screen with other pertinent information and not out of sight to the left.

Option to show Unpaid Food Service Balance and Unpaid Fees Owed on the main screen of the mobile application. You can see menus, grades, unread messages, etc. But you have to click into the full menu of the mobile app to see unpaid balances. Fees owed and schedules should show on the main screen of the mobile application for all families.

PA: Economically Disadvantaged record start or end created when lunch code effective date changes
When lunch codes change, so does the Economically Disadvantaged special programs record. Unfortunately, one does not "trigger" the other. Since you cannot schedule a task for mass adding a special programs ED record, you cannot fully automate the process. If you eliminate the process of Previewing then Updating then it can be a scheduled task. OR add economically disadvantaged to your list of importable program type. Currently, you can only import immigration status and method of instruction. SEE ATTACHMENT

Update Prior Balance Utility
is it possible to add some options to the "Update Prior Balance" utility? Under Utility Ranges, an option to zero out current year balance added to the dropdown. Also, an option to add an individual payor selection to the range parameters. And lastly, an option to add a note to all affected accounts when this utility is run to show that the zero balance is due to account being sent to collections.

Create a sample for negative accounts being sent to collections
Create something similar to verification sample maintenance for managing negative lunch accounts being sent to collections. This way updates and notes can be added to all accounts in one place instead of going into each individual payor account.

Food Service to help meet the new Verification Summary Report with ISBE 2023.
They are now asking for students that have extension of benefits. If we could have in WS\FS\PM\PA customer control records at field that allows us to mark as extended benefits.
They are also not wanting the REDUCED MEDICAID directly certified students to pull into the verification. They do however want to know the number of students individually receiving the benefit.2 votes -
