SkyScan Install Options
Update the SkyScan installer to support command line switches including the silent install. This would allow us to push the installation and not have to manually install it.

Student Management Configuration Pop-up Alert for Parental Consent Notes
In the Product Setup, Skyward Customer Access, Student Management area, you can set the configuration to turn on a Pop-up for Critical Alerts. We would like to see a Pop-up for Parental Consent Notes as well. We have many Critical Alerts, so it becomes unwieldy to add the Parental Consents as Critical Alerts, to use that functionality. Too many pop-ups are annoying. But a separate Parental Consent pop-up would make sure staff knew if a custody issue existed when parents are picking up their students.

Different color alert notifications
System alerts with different colors for different categories. For example, Red for Health, Blue for custody.

Add Processing List Option to Student Selection
It would be beneficial to have an option to choose students in the student selection area from a processing list when using the Mass Change Categories utility. This option is already available in the Add/End/Delete Special Programs utility. The concept is the same and some districts (including ours) need to use categories for a large number of students. Selecting students individually would be too time consuming and would defeat the purpose of even using a category.
Copy the programming used for the Add End or Delete Special Programs utility to allow the use of processing lists in the student selection…8 votes -
NSOE Addresses
Is there a way to make all the fields in the address appear in the proper case such as initial caps or all caps. Perhaps allow control to each district to choose case.
It seems we tend to have a lot of clean up from NSOE.

Attaching Document to Teacher Email
Testing Coordinator among others is needing a quick easy way to send documents to all of a student's teachers. An email to all teachers can be sent through the current schedule tab but there is no way to attach a document.

Display Day 1/Day 2 schedule on calendar
Goal:
a) Display Day 1/Day 2/exceptions designations on a calendar for educators students and families.
b) Allow exception days to be locked and exempted from recalculation of the Day1/Day2 rotation.
c) Provide ability to designate a day as something other than Day1 or Day2 but still have it count as an instructional day
Negative impact:
a) Examples: Administrator wants to set up meeting with teacher who has prep only on Day1; parent wants to arrange rides for student who has off campus pass for a class that meets on Day2; teacher trying to set up a guest speaker for class…

Day Rotation post somewhere for Student/Parent
We have classes that are on a 2 day rotation and a 3 day rotation. We are able to set that on our calendar in Skyward and with our courses; however currently it sounds like it does not show anywhere for our students in their Skyward Calendar or anywhere else. The students receive their schedule and it shows the rotation day number by the course but how is the student supposed to know which day it is currently throughout the year? Currently we post the day number in the hallway but it would be nice if students could either click…

Delete default attachment type of "Attachment"
We have created several attachment types however none of them are being used. When the registrar or whoever opens the window the first type they see is "Attachments" so they select it without reading/selecting the correct attachment type.
Currently there is a default attachment type of "Attachment". When deleted from the table it will automatically recreate itself.36 votes -
Creating Processing List using School emal
It would be very helpful if School Email was added to the options for importing Students to a processing list. Currently the only options are Name Key Other ID and State ID.

Attachments
Because there are a variety of areas in which to attach it would be extremely beneficial to have ALL attachments populate under the attachment tab regardless of what category/area they were attached under. if we can get the ability to attach things in a more specific manner that would greatly enhance the ability to appropriately document/scan/file things (and subsequently find them again quickly when needed). For example: the ability to attach to a specific injury or the ability to attach to the vaccine entry area (for maintaining Conscientious Objector forms) and the ability to attach a referral response in hearing/vision/scoliosis.

Add Proc List on Utility
Would like this utility to include a "preview" with the ability to remove records from the preview prior to running the actual process.
