It would be helpful to be able to pull an entity count as of a certain date.

Auto Email for parent email changes
In the Advanced Features - Automated Emails under Demographic Changes add an auto email for parent email changes. This way staff using other software programs such as SEEDS knows the email changed and can change it in their systems.

Add field to Emergency Information Report to include "Pick Up"
Add field to canned report underneath student reports, Emergency Information Report, to include "Pick Up". There are instances where there is an individual who is not authorized to pick up the child even though they are a contact.

Resident District/ Address Master
Would it be possible to tie the Resident Enrollment field on the entry withdraw to the address master? So once the District for that address is identified it stays with that address no matter who moves in. It would eliminate having to research that address every time someone moves in.

Legal Name and Full Preferred Name
Expanding name fields to accommodate more characters is essential. At the same time, it would also be important to add a prefered full name option for gender identity preferences so that schools have an option to "show" the preferred name in educator access plus, family and student access. This would allow options for legal name printing on transcripts and other official documents AND sensitivity for gender identity.

Automated email for demographic changes
We would like to see the option added for automated emails for demographic changes which would include changes of the following:
Date of Birth
Gender
Social Security Number
Ethnicity

Processing List for Student Profile and Browse
It would be helpful if we could use Processing Lists for viewing a group of students in Students>Student Profile and Student Browse screens.
There are times when we need to modify something for a specific group of students. It would be a tremendous help to flip between the students based on a Processing List.

Offer Language of communication option for Parents to choose.
English or Spanish or both

Address Direction - Option to print after street address
The local post office has asked that we move the direction field from before the street address to after the street address. Example: 625 NW Birch St should be 625 Birch St NW. Changing every street name in our address master would take a lot of work, but allowing us to print the direction after the street address would solve the problem. We have had a lot of mail returned because of this, requiring us to hand write the address and resend.

Change of Address
When a parent enters an address change via Family Access, it would be helpful for them to be able to attach 1-2 documents for Proof of Residency.

Add options for the zip code
We now have more than one area by us where 1 zip code covers 2 municipality names. We are currently adding an A behind the number but that has caused issues with parents changing it during online registration and now being incorrect. Can we have 1 zip code have more than one city attached to it so the parent and our staff can choose the correct city name attached.

Address Master search functionality
Currently in Address Master you can only search by Street. We would like the functionality so that if we sort by Number that we can search by the Number by typing in the search box.

Federal Race Code should work the same in Data Mining as it does in Skybuild.
Skyward's explanation: Within Data Mining the Federal Race Description falls under a new folder that contains the Fed Race Code and Fed Race Description. This means that in data mining a separate line will be printed for each Federal Race that is selected for the student. If the Data Mining report is set up to be one line then it will repeat the fields as many times as needed for how many Fed Races apply to the student.

Local Race
Get rid of Local Race all together (Profile > General Information). This is causing lots of confusion on campuses as to which one to use. We are not updating Local Race. In the process, Skyward needs to change the Auto Scheduler programming to use Federal Race instead of Local Race. As far as I know, that's the only program that is still using local race. Also, since this is "federal", this should affect all states, not just Texas.

Distribute Student Demographic Info - fields need a blank option
Currently, it is difficult to know if these fields in the Student Profile have been set to No or if they were No by default...Military, Higher Ed, Public, District, Local Use, Media, Vendors, Field Trips.
If those fields were blank by default, then it would be more clear that the field was set to No intentionally.

Increase search capabililty to include "contains"
Speed the search for locating the student record when the name being given(i.e. Juarez)is the second part (i.e. Zavala-Juarez)of the last name in the database. This is a frequent occurrence. While there is little negative impact on the daily operation if the enhancement is not made it could prove otherwise during an emergency situation.
Being able to use wildcards (*) during the search would be fabulous but even being able to choose between 'begins' with and 'contains' would be great.42 votes -
Student Name Field Not Long Enough
Student name fields do not allow enough characters to allow for full legal name to be inputted. Need to increase number of characters allowed in first middle and last name fields.
