Students Under Grade 3 Receiving OSS - Texas

To be in compliance with TEC 37.005 (b), we would like to see a warning message when an Out of School (OSS) action code (05 or 25 for TX PEIMS) is entered for a student in a grade level below grade three.

Such a message would serve as a reminder of this requirement for staff entering discipline records, and prevent violations of this statute.

    This would also be an excellent option to flag for students coded as homeless.
