Allow category weighting on skills
We would like skills to use category weighting rather than just event weighting to calculate the final grades.

Make Summary Page text in NSOE Custom
The text on the summary page as shown in my attached example cannot be changed. Please make the custom so that we can change the text to read what we would like to read.
It currently reads "...Please select one of the following options:" However there is only one options to click on. That causes confusion for the parent. When I tested this I was like...am I suppose to have another button or just the one button. I think it would be best if you could just leave this wording off since there is only one button.26 votes -
View of Customer Payments applied to charges
The goal is to enable the Skyward user to easily determine to which charge(s) a customer's payment was applied ie. which payments paid what charges. Currently there is no quick way to determine on the customer's fee management screens which charges a payment was applied to in the customer's record. You have to drill down into each and every charge or payment to try to determine which paid what and other charges and payments that are irrelevant to the transaction appear which is very confusing.
Perhaps there can be some type of cross reference on the face of the customer…44 votes -
Add Home Lang Code from LEP/BIL/ESL Tab
Add home language code as a field that can be exported in skybuild. This field is located in student profile > Special Programs > LEP/Bil/ESL > Home Language Code. This is the field that is reported to TEA so we need to be consistent when exporting home language to other applications.

Add Ability for Kiosk to Fill Missed Att. Periods
The intention of this request is to streamline the attendance entry process by enhancing the system to fill in attendance periods missed automatically. The goal is to enhance data quality and employee efficiency. The negative impact would be not utilizing the product or increased employee efforts to ensure data quality if component is used.
Ideally setup would be available for system to automatically fill in attendance periods missed prior to arrival or after student signs out. We would like for this component to be used for early dismissals and late arrivals.56 votes -
Adding/Reordering Skills
It would be nice in this area if there was an easier way to move skills. One option would be to select a task and then click add which would add a new task after the selected task rather than having to move up or down. Another option would be to have the icon to drag the task to the location you want it rather than using the up or down arrow one space at a time. This would save time when adding or changing skills to a list.

Importing of Health Information
The ability to import Health information that are entered on Registration forms in InfoSnap to Skyward. Alerts and critical alerts denoted by parents. This would save time of having to re-enter things into Skyward that parents have entered in InfoSnap regarding Health related issues. Also if eliminate the need of campus personnel having to look at both systems. Alerts are critical and need to be VERY visible to staff at a moments notice.

Course Type Codes with More Than 3 Characters
We need to be able to create Course Types with more than 3 characters. Being limited to 3 characters hinders our users to utilize/create codes that contain more than 4 or more characters. The downfall we are running into is that when a transcript is printed courses that have 4 or more course types attached does not print all the codes associated.
This will allow our registrars to print transcripts with accurate data displayed.7 votes -
Backscheduling in the Flex Mod Environment
With converting to Flex Mod Scheduling we have found the backscheduling has become very time consuming due to the multiple yet specific mods that individual students can be scheduled into. We work on a 14 mod (period) day at 5 days a week equals 70 different mods a student can be scheduled into. Is it possible to create a secure group of users who only have access to make changes to study halls.
Currently the time it takes to "backschedule" a student into a resource center is an inefficient use of time for counselors teachers and the registrar. Teachers normally…41 votes -
CLONE CALENDAR UTILITIES
Our District has MANY calendars for both public & parochial entities. Each year calendars for all entities schools & calendars within each entity within each school need to be set up. That being said one question that I continue to have is the utility for "Clone Calendar Info in Same Year." What does this utility actually do? I have tried to set up 1 calendar in 1 entity with all the calendar detail entered & then ideally I would like to clone this calendar to all the other entities & calendars but only the very basic term dates get cloned…

Family Access display option
In Family Access it would very beneficial for our parents/guardians have a setting that allows them to display just active and/or non graduated students. We have had requests from parents/guardians to remove foreign exchange students from their access to remove graduated students foster children etc. We know that there is a setting to only display active students however that is a district-wide setting. A setting within Family Access so that they can choose themselves would be great.

Gender Printing on Report Cards
We have a request to not include Gender on many of the individual student reports we currently print. In this case the request is that the Student Schedule report not include Gender. We currently have no way to do remove this.

Change where transcripts sent to a free form text
To make the work easier for our school registrars. This transcript sent option is used anytime the transcript is sent even to another high school and not just colleges. So instead of the registrar searching for the school and/or creating a new code they could just type in where the transcript was sent
What we would want is to replace the school codes box and just make that a 40 (or whatever amount) character comment field with the date stamp still attached.48 votes -

Would like this utility to include a "preview" with the ability to remove records from the preview prior to running the actual process.

Add School and Calendar Ranges to Message Center
The Student Ranges available in Message Center do not include the capability of limiting the students by School or Calendar codes. Recently we sent scholarship application information to our High School students and Vocation students from out of the district all received the same email. As a result some of them applied for the scholarship even though they did not qualify because they were not residents of the district. They are coded with a different School code that would have been excluded them from the emails if the School code were an option to use to narrow the ranges. This…

As needed medications
Want the option to select scheduled medications or as needed medications in the quick entry portion. Right now there is only the ability to give scheduled medications through this route but would like a filter to be able to select PRN meds as well. Currently having to enter each student's name and administer PRN's that way.

Obligations Visible in Family Access
Need parents to be able to see obligations in FA so that it can't be said that they didn't know or weren't informed.
Without parent being able to see them campus must send out constant reminders. Being able to tell parents that their obligations are always accessible would assist campuses in communicating to parents.37 votes -
Add the ability to add FAMILY attachments
Add the ability to add attachments that are accessible to multiple students in the same family. Especially helpful for Online Enrollment but valuable to all districts even if they don't use NSOE.
So we don't have to go in and attach the same document individually to EACH student. ( gets time consuming with family's who have many children). AND it would be a place that could be looked at and know that the WHOLE family had the same information ( like proof of residency court docs for all the children etc.)

Add Counselor Field to Customizable Options
Recently Skyward provided a new field under Entity Info to allow districts (schools) to track Counselors if they differ from Advisors. This is a great option and Skyward did diligence to add it as a mass update option under Student Mass Change. Our staff would like to see this go one step further by adding the field as an option to updating a user's custom list of fields that display under the Extra Information option within Student Profile. When you click on the Customize link Advisor can be added however Counselor is not yet available. Screen shots attached. Thank you!

TX: Update Tracking report to include timestamps
Texas reporting requirements include being able to report the date and time attendance data changes are made. We currently only offer timestamp data on a screen without the ability to create a report from it. This project is to update the Transaction Tracking report to include timestamps as well as date.
