"Interpreter Needed" checkbox on Profile
Checkbox for "Interpreter needed" on Profile Tab. We currently have a custom form to indicate when a student's family needs an interpreter for conferences. It would be extremely helpful to have an indicator in General Information that would be quickly accessible when phone communication is required.

Add IBC Vendor to Mass Add Special Programs Utility
Add IBC Vendor field to the Mass Add Special Programs for Post Secondary Certification. The IBC Vendor field is a required field and is usually the same for each certification within each district.

It'd be nice to have the student status tied to the E/W records. T
Sometimes we have are made aware that a student will be withdrawing in a few days or a week, and we'd like to enter that withdraw record with the future date as we find out about it, but still allow the student to be active until that date hits. Same with enter dates. Sometime they don't start for a week or two but it'd be nice to push through the enrollment and have that student go active on the future date.

ALL REPORTS NEED BIGGER / DARKER FONT
Whether it is printing out the NSOE forms for a student's record or printing any report in the system - the font size is too small and too light. We need the ability to enlarge font size / change report format so reports and other items printed from SKYWARD are large/dark enough to be read.

Pulling previous year's data
It is incredibly hard to pull data from previous school years in the system. Sometimes we have to go back to previous years in order to fill out information for grants, MDE, authorizer, etc and right now that's near impossible to do. I've used JMC in the past and they had a really easy tab that changed the year that you were operating in for data, Skyward needs something simple like that in order to go back to previous years to pull data when needed, or needs to be incorporated into the reporting system to add a box for what…

adding a blank or asterisks for default
On student Profile when entering the student key social security number or other id if the student does not fall in the range would like it to default to a blank or asterisks screen instead of first student in alpha.
this hopefully will stop mis-entering information under a students record that should not be updated.21 votes -
Standards Coverage report
When using curriculum mapping we are having a hard time confirming that all standards associated to a curriculum master record was linked to a curriculum map. For example we know all the specific standards that should be covered in 3rd grade math which are linked to the curriculum record. We will then want to confirm that the curriculum map appropriately addresses all the standards to ensure complete coverage of standards.
A report which lists which standards were covered how many times and highlighting the standards which were not covered would be helpful.21 votes -
No Show Count or Excluded Assignments
It would be beneficial for our district to enable a feature that would disable visibility in Family Access for specific students for specific assignments. Or the capability to select students that a specific assignment applies to within a classroom. There are some students that may need excluded from specific assignments and we would like those to not show in Family or Student Access.

Educational milestones connected to Test Scores
Goal: entry of a Test Score that meets a specific criteria automatically triggers a 'complete' date on an Educational Milestone.
Wisconsin Civics Exam requires students to earn a minimum score as a requirement for graduation starting in 2017. We are entering it as a Test Score so it appears on transcripts along with ACT and other test scores but are also trying to include the status as an Educational Milestone so students and parents are aware that this is required. Right now when students complete the test I have to double enter.

Student Health Report
Student Health Report and the report in the Quick Print area needs to include results for Convex lens Stereo depth perception Color blindness as required by PDE. Currently there is no ability to add these results to this report for an overall printout of all vision screenings. Nurses currently would have to create/print a separate Data Mining report for all students whose records need sent to other PA districts and for any all health printing of records.

Instructional Responsibility for PVAAS
The percentage of shared instruction will set to default to the value based on dividing 100 by the number of teachers flagged as having instructional responsibility for a course. Our district has followed an 80/20 responsibility for two co-teacher courses and 55/35/10 for three co-teacher courses in our six elementary buildings. There is no way to change the default and each individual student record will need to be changed for all teachers. This will be a very time consuming task and may attribute to more errors when uploading to PIMS thus creating incorrect records in the PVAAS system. Instructional responsibility…

Utility to mass delete course sections that have meets but no students assigned to the section.
We have had two different scenarios that we needed to mass delete sections from the section master. It is very time consuming to have to delete each individual section one at a time.

Post Secondary Licensure/Certification
Our counselors are having to enter Post Secondary Licensures/Certificates in 2 areas: (1.) Under TX/NCLB - Performance Ack: this is where the info is for the transcript/TREx ( 2.) Under Special Programs - Post Sec Cert: this is where the info is for PEIMS... It would be a huge time saver if they only had to post in 1 area. We would like to see transcript/TREx data being pulled from Special Programs - Post Sec Cert.

NSOE
It would be extremely convenient if, when denying an NSOE application after giving the reason for denial, the guardian could then have the option to make corrections to the existing application and then resubmit it rather then having to start the entire application process over again.

Birth Country needs to be a dropdown or list.
In Student Profile, Birth History, the Birth Coutnry needs to be a dropdown or list because the field as it stands allows for anything to be entered.

Homeless Students receiving OSS - Texas
Homeless students and OSS Discipline. Texas
to comply with state law we would like a warning message to come up when a user is entering a discipline record for a homeless student AND trying to give the student OSS . We would like a message to pop-up on the data entry screen warning the user about what they are trying to do and that it does not comply with Texas law. We believe doing this modification at the data entry point would help districts not break the law - where as a PEIMS/TSDS edit at PEIMS/TSDS time is too late.…

transaction
It would be nice if the default scheduling transaction effective date in Skyward would populate as the next calendar day instead of the next scheduled day of school when dropping a student. Having it be the next scheduled day of school causes problems with SCAs and exiting a student. It seem counterintuitive for a user to have to change a date that Skyward autopopulates.

PA - Start using separate enrollment transaction dates and enrollment dates
In PA, our enrollment template asks us to report separate enrollment transaction dates (the date the student was entered in the SIS) and the enrollment date (the first date the student physically showed up to attend school). Skyward does not provide a way to enter or store a separate transaction date. It forces us to use only the enrollment date as both the transaction date and the enrollment date. This is very problematic because we must enter students into the system days before the student actually attends school. We need both dates. We can't keep flipping dates (tracking them manually…

Custom Forms Tab Still Needs Quick Print Option
I believe I've submitted a request for this already but I'm unable to locate any details on it. Would still really like to see an option for Quick Print on the Custom Forms tab. This would be exactly the same as Quick Print in Enrollment Application Processing or simply an option to run the Custom Forms Report from this tab. Currently the only option users have is to EDIT and then Save & Print as there is no Print only option available.
