Texas - Industry Based Certifications (IBC) Module
On the course master add a field similar to the course groups (use the certifications table as the look up table – WS\ST\TB\SP\TB\PO) allowing us to associate certifications to the course. Would need to be school specific.
In the gradebook give teachers an option to add the certification, date, pass/fail. They would only be able to select from the certifications associated with the course they are currently in the gradebook. Data entry for the teachers would have to be simple and fast.
Display certifications to the student and parent in Family Access.
Populate the certification under the Special Programs tab…

Add Dyslexia Service & Risk Field in Skybuild-Import
Can we import Dyslexia Service Record from outside of Skyward.
This is TX State Report Field and there is no way we can update this information. We have more than 2,000 students with this record and data is changed daily. We need something we can automate this process.
We are currently on Skyward SMS.

Texas - Fix years in US Schools utility
The Years in US Schools utility has never worked correctly. Not once. We need someone to revisit the flawed programming logic behind it. This should be a simple process and it is a nightmare every year. This was not a problem in either of the prior systems we utilized. We are tired of hand-correcting student records because the utility skips them. First, the utility should allow you to update blank years with zeros before running. It does not, and then it skips records with a blank year. Second, the utility should allow you to disregard the last updated year when…

Fee Management Emails
When emailing statements, it would be so helpful to have the option to email to both parents in family 1 - both families would be helpful as well
It would be like the message center then, where you could choose who receives it.

Texas - Need a CTE 2 coherent sequence coding utility for students
Please create a Texas CTE student coherence sequence coding utility. Texas allows us to code students as a "2" if they have a 4 year plan to take a coherent sequence of 2 or more CTE courses for 3 or more credits and they are enrolled in or have completed a semester of courses that are part of their coherent sequence. All of these elements are easily identified in Skyward by looking at schedules, 4 year plans, endorsement pathways, courses, and credits. However, our CTE staff have to spend hours paging through 4 year plans to identify students.

Discipline Action Details
When entering multiple discipline action dates for the same student it would be extremely helpful if when entering different incidents with different actions a pop-up warning would alert the user entering the action that the dates over-lap with a previously entered incident/action entry. We often have several incidents entered that happen on different days with different actions but it is easy to get the dates mixed and over-lapped when the incidents are consecutive data order. A pop-up warning when entering actions dates alerting user that action dates already existing for this day would be extremely helpful in creating accurate discipline…

Add All Special Programs to Data Mining
There are a number of Special Programs which are not available for Data Mining reports. We would like all available.

Auto email progress reports
Schools would like a way to automatically email progress reports based on select criteria such as grades, citizenship, gpa. eg. Schedule and send progress reports to all students who are receiving at least one 'F' grade in the current gradebook.

Online Conferences
It would be very helpful to have the ability for the parent/guardian to request an interpreter in online conference scheduling. Something we can pull in either data mining or (preferably) an indicator in conference reports. Without this we are using a lot of man hours compiling this information.
A box for parent/guardian to check stating they require an interpreter for parent/teacher conferences. Staff State ID
Please make Staff State ID available in Skybuild.
This is needed in Skybuild so they can import or export items to link staff information. They need another field to link to. Skybuild does have the ability to use the Student ID.89 votesLooking into options for adding Staff State ID to Skybuild.
Data Mining is a tool for Student information reporting, so Staff State ID will not be added to this area of the software.
