1. Texas STAAR EOC Report needs Student IDs added

   This report is a great report. It pulls student's STAAR EOC information along with the Exemptions and the reasons. Pulling the reason for the exemption was not possible through data mining. This report needs to be further developed by:

   1. Adding the Other ID (Student ID)or Student Alpha Key. With so many similar names it is time consuming to look up the individual students with similar names and compare scores in order to match up the correct student. This is especially involved when running the report at the (000) level.

   2. Adding a check box to have an option to "Export to Excel" so that the information may print one line per student aligning the subjects selected. It is not possible to sort and filter from a PDF. Although it is possible to Convert the PDF to Excel through the print queue it is not a a very clean conversion. Too many adjustments to the report have to be made in order to view as needed.

   The Other ID or Student Alpha Key should be an automatic field of the student name to further identify the student's name.

2. Add Utility to Mass Add Entry Withdrawal Records

   Students change grade levels throughout the school year at many at-risk campuses. Currently the process for entering a status change must be done on an individual student level. Adding a utility to withdraw as a status change and create a new entry from a processing list (or selecting individual students) would streamline this process.

   The ability to complete a status change withdrawal and new entry record for all grade level advancements during the school year.

3. PGF Survey Field

   Would like to have the PGF Survey field available in custom fields so we do not have to export information we collect on a custom form and import it into this field.
   This field is located in the KS/NCLB fields.

4. Mass update grading periods

   Please see the 2 attachments. I am trying to clone grading periods using WS\OF\AT\PS\UT\SC. I have updated the grading periods for campus 001. I am selecting to mass update "all entities" using 001. The entities all carry the same # of grading periods (same calendar terms YR & S1 & S2... all same throughout the district). It is not updating as requested. I have submitted this on SC#3297632 and they referred this to the ME. The ME said "It will set the Term start to the first grading period with that start term. It will set the Term stop to the last grading period with that stop term." and the program is functioning correctly. I disagree. If I'm asking to "clone" or "mass update" grading periods from one entity to another (with same # of grading periods) then I should be able to update the grading periods using this utility. They say I must update ea grading period manually for ea campus.

5. Change the 'Add a Fee' text

   We would like to change the 'Add a Fee' tab to something like 'Optional Fees' or 'Manage Optional Fees' for parents to know where they have to go to add optional fee.

   'Add a Fee' does not identify clearly enough that parents need to click to add/remove fees. Specially does not say anything 'Delete' the fees. This is very confusing so we are having a hard time to guide parents to pay fees. This small change will make huge difference to all districts with fees management modules because parents will fine the tab to add/delete easily to manage any type of additional fees.

6. IEP Writer Import

   The IEP Writer Import process is unable to be scheduled as a scheduled task. It would be ideal if the process could be scheduled to load a file from a location on the server. Per Skyward Customer Support several districts have inquired on this topic but no one has ever submitted it as an RFE.

7. Custom Report Card Colors

   Currently there are no options for changing the colors used for shading in the custom report cards. Report cards could be improved if shading is allowed in more than one color. I would like to see at least one additional color added to the shading options in custom report cards.

8. Data Mining Reports posting to Family Access

   Security setting in Data Mining reports posting to Family Access. We are requesting a warning and confirmation page when someone runs a data mining report that will get posted to Family Access. Currently if someone is not sure what they are doing they can post information to Family Access without realizing it. This can be done either by them marking Family Access in a data mining report they built or simply by running someone elses data mining report (to see what it is pulling) and not realizing the report is set to print on family access. It would be nice to have stronger security controls on that part of the data mining reporter and also for it to display a pop-up that the user must agree that they realize the report will print to family access.

9. Custom forms /Advanced custom to family access

   The goal for this enhancement is to be able to have the option to post advanced and custom forms to family access. Not all custom forms should post to family access only ones specified.
   
   A negative impact of not having this enhancement is having to printing these reports for parents when they would be able to view this information online.
   
   Having this information in a working advanced custom form within Skyward is already a goal that has been accomplished. Having this report become a custom form viewable within family access would open the doors for other information that could be shared through FA.
   
   Have a check box in the custom form to Post to Family Access. Add an option in Family Access Entity Configuration to turn on the view of Custom forms. Also add an option for guardians to print the custom form.

10. Add NEW Address and Phone Field to Check Out Form

    We would like to see a section on the Check Out Form to add the student's NEW Address and Phone once they leave our district. The report currently being used is in the E/W Tab - Quick Print. Please see attached. The first page is the Skyward form and the second page is our old ProSoft SIS form which worked very well. The secretary is now handwriting the new info which is negative. And honestly our old form was a much cleaner form.

13. Teachers knowing/printing IHPs for their students

    The goal of this enhancement is for teachers to be able to run a report that identifies students in their classes (My Students) who have an active IHP for the current school year and prints those IHPs. This would also be equally beneficial for Activity Advisors via Advisor Access in EA+. A similar report is available in Student Management but when a teacher runs this report there is no good way to get just their own students - It would probably have to reside in EA+ for it to filter to just the students they have in classes.

    The negative impacts from not having this enhancement:

    1. Teachers don't know which students have IHPs in their classes without opening each student's profile and looking for a * next to the IHP link. For a typical high school teacher that means opening approximately 175 student profiles per semester (7 classes x 25 students per class) just to see who "has" an IHP.

    2. For students in their classes "with" an IHP our school requires teachers (and activity advisors) to print IHPs so they can be used in the classroom and taken with them when not in the classroom (also pertains to coaches field trips etc.) and quickly available for substitute teachers. In an emergency situation they don't have time to be trying to access the IHPs electronically and reading all of the detailed instructions contained within them on a mobile device screen. Without this enhancement teachers/advisors have to open each IHP individually (many students also have multiple IHPs) and print them individually.

    3. When information changes on IHPs teachers/advisors need to know that and reprint those with changes. This enhancement will allow them to simply print those IHPs that have changed since "x" date (the date they last printed them) by choosing a IHP date range. Without this enhancement they have to open each student's IHP screen to check the IHP dates to determine which ones have been updated and need to be reprinted.

    The reality is that IHP data is simply entered/stored into Skyward but not properly used by the people who need it (teachers/advisors) because it is such a time consuming task to know which students have IHPs print those IHPs and know/print IHPs with updates.

    Expected outcomes:

    1. Teachers will be able to easily know which students in their classes have IHPs can print IHPs for those students and can know/print IHPs that have been updated.

    2. School nurses or office personnel will not have to print IHPs for the teachers each quarter/semester and won't have to reprint them for teachers whenever an update is made in an IHP. Teachers can do this on their own.

    3. Teachers/Advisors will have updated and printed IHP data at their disposal that can be easily read and followed in emergency situations.

    How to accomplish this:

    1. Provide a report in EA+ that teachers/advisors can use to identify their students with IHPs and print them in bulk. This report is already available in Student Management but cannot be filtered to just the teacher's/advisor's students. That is the nature of EA+ - It is designed to filter information to the teacher/advisor level.

14. Sales Tax per School

    Schools span multiple municipalities which means each school has different sales tax rate. However Skyward only allows one tax for all the campuses.
    Skyward should offer this setting to be campus level when district decided to use the fee management modules as campus level. Otherwise big district like us will not utilize this feature at all.

15. Save Descipline letters to Student records

    Currently Discipline Letters cannot be saved to the student record. Attendance Letters are but not Discipline Letters. We would like to be able to save these letters to the Student record in Skyward.
    
    Add the capability to save Discipline letters to the student record as Attendance Letters are. Provide a Letters button in the Student Profile Discipline tab to allow users to view any Discipline Letters sent.

16. Post Daily Attendance/OFSDP minutes

    Teachers with multiple courses assigned to one period prefer to view attendance by period in order to take attendance in the same screen. The OFSDP campuses can only submit attendance in the "view attendance by class." Most OFSDP teachers teach multiple classes in one period so they would like to enter their minutes by period just like the regular attendance side.
    The OFSDP teachers always teach multiple courses in a period so this change would allow the attendance taking process more streamlined.

17. Utility to inactivate staff

    Managing staff and security accounts manually is a major task. I would like to request a utility that would inactivate users in Staff and set the Active Secured User field in Security to 'No' if they have not logged in within xx number of days. We would be able to select the number of days since last log in to inactivate.
    
    Inactivating accounts for staff who've been out for a lengthy period of time. But the resolution would be easy since accounts are only being inactivated. We would turn those accounts back on manually.

    It would be very helpful if School Email was added to the options for importing Students to a processing list. Currently the only options are Name Key Other ID and State ID.

19. Allow date range for missing assignment display

    Family/Student Access - gradebook display - missing assignment list
    Please don't display assignments as missing if the student is not enrolled in the class. That covers classes that have ended (from 1st semester) and classes that have been dropped. I can't imagine a time when that list could be helpful and the list loses its impact and usefulness when students learn to ignore it because "that's all old stuff I can't make up anymore anyway".
    This list currently displays missing assignments for classes the students are no longer enrolled in. I have changed temporarily changed the configuration to limit the list to the current grading term but this creates some problems and does not resolve others.

    Scenario #1) Student dropped classes after the first week of the current term. Gradebook and schedule both show the class as dropped everything from the educator side also indicates the classes were dropped. But her missing assignment list displays assignments from those classes for dates AFTER she dropped the course. What is the purpose for this display to student and parents that these assignments are missing when the student isn't even taking the class?

    Scenario #2) Viewing missing assignment list in February showed missing assignments from November and December. November and December were during 1st semester and those classes have expired. Again what is the purpose for displaying assignments missing from a class the student is no longer taking? I have one student who struggled a lot first semester and has really turned things around now and is doing a great job of staying current this semester. Every time he opens that gradebook the top of the page displays that he has missing assignments. But they are from November and December thus are assignments he can do nothing about because the classes ended two months ago. Yes he can dig deeper to see that there are no missing assignments from his current classes but it seems pointless to have to do so and even though it may seem trivial to click a few extra times this student is dejected when he sees that list. He will NEVER be able to see "0 missing assignments" even though he has on top of things for 2 months and has no missing assignments for the classes he is currently in.

    Scenario # 3) This has the opposite effect on a different student - has a bunch of missing assignments from 1st semester and only a few from this current term. That student has become desensitized to the missing assignment list because "it's all old stuff anyway that I can't do anything about". Yes there are ways to click around and dig deeper to find out that 2 of those 23 missing assignments are actually relevant right now but the fact that we have to do so if very frustrating. What is gained by continuing to display those assignments when the class is no longer active?

    SC response told me how to set limit this to current grading period which I have now done but this is not ideal because some teachers use semester grading rather than term grading. If I understand correctly the day we change from Term 3 to Term 4 all the missing assignments from Term 3 will disappear from the list; or when we cross the date to end Midterm 4 then missing wok from the first half of the term will no longer show up in the list. I'm not happy with that because both T3 and T4 are part of the current semester. I'm concerned that if the missing assignment list starts over when we turn to T4 or M4 then students will on longer be alerted to missing work that they may still be able to do. The classes are still active so the missing assignments from T3 are still relevant even if we're a week into T4. (As opposed to Semester 1 classes that are no longer active).

    If I'm mistaken in my understanding and the Semester grading period (rather than the term or midterm) dictates what is considered current then I will be satisfied with the current setup - when there are concurrent terms I want the 'largest' term (semester) to dictate what displays rather than the smallest (midterm).

    And the 'current term' solution does not fix Scenario 1 from above - those assignments are from the current term even though the student is no longer in the class.

20. Ranges for Student Entry Resubmission

    From the Student Check-In screen under Office Visits users are currently able to look up students that are Inactive. When in a specific entity users are also able to look up a student that has never been enrolled in that entity. This can cause issues for a district if the student keys in the wrong number.
