PIMS: Extract a list of multiple students
Often I have multiple students that I need to extract PIMS data for. Currently the PIMS extract templates only all for ranges of students or 1 student at at time. Literally hours of time will be saved by PIMS administrators if a list of students could be extracted at a time. This is common functionality in other SIS systems.
Add a "By Individual" range option and then an "Individual" button" that allows the user to build a list of students. This setup/functionality is already found throughout Skyward. i.e. The Student Information report (WS\ST\RE\SI)33 votesThank you for submitting and voting this Product Idea. Mobile App Configuration
Requesting that the mobile app follow the entity configuration for Family Access.
We configured the Entity Configuration for Family Access not to show Homeroom and advisers as we did not want parents to be able to see these until a specific date. However the parents were able to go onto the Mobile app and see them in Student Information by clicking on the "I" button. Advisor and Homeroom are both listed. This defeated our purpose of wanting the parents to do the current student registration and then allowing them to see the schedules etc.

Additional ranges in Attendance Mass Change Utils
Would like to be able to add more than one day's attendance for a class or activity. At this time we can do one day at a time using Mass add for Single Day. Also we can only add attendance for a Class/Activity/Field Trip for one day. Going in one by one per student is very time consuming. If we could get a box for absence range...or by certain day of week that could be very helpful. EX: We have students that may leave our building during a certain period for 8 weeks and then return to finish the day.…

SAML Relying Party Configuration
I am requesting that Skyward configure SAML for Districts that have an IDP. Minnetonka has it's own IDP - we use Identity Automation. I'd like to be able to use our SSO service to log all users into Skyward by way of a SAML integration with Skyward.
I am willing to help do the testing to get this up and running. I know there are other users that use Identity Automation for an IDP and could also benefit from this type of configuration.52 votes -
Automated Email on Home Language
This is the second Skyward School District that I have worked for that believes it would be amazing to have an auto email generate when a secretary is putting in a new student and the home language is marked something other than English. This piece of information is critical for timely screening purposes and many times the information is not communicated in a timely fashion to the appropriate people. Update Student Records for all Letters sent
The goal of this enhancement is to have all letters that are sent to parents become part of the student record. The negative impact is that now we have no record of the letter being sent and nothing to refer back to if a parent would question what they received.

hall pass - include signature image and email
We would like to be able to email the Hall Pass from the Attendance tab in Student Profile directly to the student's current teacher. This would immediately let the teacher know that the student should be returning to class.
We would also like to be able to insert an image of a signature on the pass so that it is signed when emailed or printed.

Day Rotation post somewhere for Student/Parent
We have classes that are on a 2 day rotation and a 3 day rotation. We are able to set that on our calendar in Skyward and with our courses; however currently it sounds like it does not show anywhere for our students in their Skyward Calendar or anywhere else. The students receive their schedule and it shows the rotation day number by the course but how is the student supposed to know which day it is currently throughout the year? Allow multiple days attendance to be updated
We have field trips that last more than one day. We would like to have the ability under the Entry by Class or Activity to enter a date range to update. Currently we have to go and run this and re-select the field trip for each day. It would make it much quicker and more accurate (because working in the office we get interrupted 1000 times a day) to be able to run this once for a date range.

Auto Email for Family 2 Demographic Changes
We would like to see an automated email function set up for Family 2 address changes. Currently it is only set up to send an email for Primary family changes.
With so many families sharing 50/50 custody this would create equity in maintaining accurate family information for departments such as food service transportation and teachers/staff who need to be notified of these changes in a timely manner.
Parents with 50/50 custody sometimes argue about being Family 1 or Family 2 so we want to make sure we are treating them the same in regards to communications and mailings. We feel…10 votes -
Add Student Grad/Grad Year to Report
Our Principals rely heavily on the Chronic Attendance Report. It would be very helpful for this report to include student grade level/grad year and/or the ability to sort by grade/grad year. It would also be helpful if a range of percentages could be entered and only those students print. I currently have to print it for each grade level put it in Excel and delete the students with less than 10% absent.

Printing Student Custom Forms in Student/Reports
Under student/reports/custom forms when adding a new template the "custom form selection" box has all the old forms that are inactive. Can this be fixed to view by the current year instead of scrolling all the way thru the list? Yes some of the forms can be printed thru data mining but it's not the actual form as we would need to add to the student cumulative folder
If the custom form is inactive then it should not be an option to select on the template.

Use Stu Discipline Officer in Tardy Discipline
When using attendance letters to auto generate an offense for tardies (TAR) the setup will not allow the student's assigned discipline officer to be selected. It either has to be left blank or a specific name selected. This does not allow the offense to be easily viewed by the student's discipline officer. A filter could be created for blank offenses or an auto emails for this specific offense could be created but the discipline officers/assistant principals are already inundated with emails and don't want to have to frequently change their discipline filters.

Addition of Fields for Student Custom form
We need to be able to include the following Student information on a student custom form - Home language code home language description and advisor name (typically associated with the entity).
When setting up a student custom form we should be able to select these fields to be included on the custom form. We would expect the advisor name to be the one for the default entity.32 votes -
Schedule Task with Preview
For years I have had the Mass Delete Grades By Grade Bucket run as a 2 part Scheduled Task. The tasks that I had saved were no longer working so I created new templates to run the utility. However now from my Print Queue when I select the Task button "Schedule This" is not available to select. student access/student infor shows both families
A student can see information on both family 1 and family two on student access/student info. this is a problem! If a parent uses the student's login they will be able to see both family 1 and family 2's address phone and email. this is a major problem due to data privacy. we have turned ours off. we would like to move the family information to another tab so we can leave access to the student information and what is located there and turn off access to family information.

Do not require all forms to be edited on a clone
Many times when doing a review/revise only one or two areas of an IEP need to be adjusted - but as a result of cloning all forms need to be edited - this causes a lot of extra clicking in order to be able to print the entire review/revise IEP when only one page of the entire document may be updated

Able to submit multiple random records for export
There are many times when multiple students need PIMS corrections. Currenlty there is only the option to submit 1 individual or the whole entity.
