Skybuild - Special Education Information
I'd like to request the addition of the Special Ed information to the Skybuild Import area.

Can we add Intervention Strategies under special programs to the list since that is included in some SPED applications?

I realize not really helpful for anyone still on SMS but since my comment was about 7 years ago and we moved to Q almost 1.5 years ago but I can confirm that Q at least has an automated import for PA's IEPWriter and custom imports for other data we like to import.

It would also be helpful to mimic the way test imports are setup, and allow special program links that can be filtered to allow the multi-line importing necessary for the 1-to-many special programs. That way, we can have more than one special population defined at a time.

With 77 votes, this needs to pass. The committee will definitely discuss this in January, 2026 if it isn't already under Skyward's radar. As far as votes go for this forum, this is a landslide item.

Not all Special Education software systems have been included in having an automated import or template designed for them specifically (like was done for ESPED), leaving us out in the cold as we try to transition to a new software (SPED Track). The TX Student Service Import Utility only supplies 45 fields, many of which are already in the Student Profile or in the child Find and SELA areas to be imported via Skybuild. What we are looking for are the ARD/IEP dates, disability codes, instructional setting, 504, dyslexia, and all other programs and related services fields to be included in the Skybuild import & export areas. Attached is a notated sheet of an example CSV pulled into Excel; shows fields in Skyward cross-linked to fields from SPED Track, with example data.

I would like to see the PA IEP Writer import be converted from a manual process to one that can be scheduled and this should allow for that.

We'd like to import from Indiana IEP.
