View Course Long Description
We would like the option to view the course long description in the course master. Our schools like this course name better than the short description.
Either always see the long description or have a filter option to show the course long description.

Message Center-Only Show Schedule After Online Reg
For Message Center add the option to "Only Show Schedule After Online Registration is Completed" for only teacher messages. Because the teachers name and course is listed when a teacher posts to message center without this option its difficult to keep scheduling information under wraps under the online registration is complete. Administration / principal messages would need to be allowed prior to online registration completion. This would allow instructions and messages concerning the completing the online registration to be posted along with any other pertinent information.

NSOE Addresses
Is there a way to make all the fields in the address appear in the proper case such as initial caps or all caps. Perhaps allow control to each district to choose case.
It seems we tend to have a lot of clean up from NSOE.

Standards Grading: Listing Events
Currently events are displayed by date. When you have multiple events and multiple skills the screen is hard to read.
We would like to see events grouped together with their skill and date. If nothing else an option to view it his way would be another option.22 votes -
Need More Characters!
We submitted this last year but really need this addressed. Currently our medication dosage unit codes only allow for 5 characters. We enter the dose unit of medications and have run into this more than once that if a dose is in the 10000s we are unable to qualify WHAT the measurement is. For example: 10000mg 10000units etc. This is a safety concern because we need to be able to denote WHAT the measurement is for that medication. I have attached a screen shot. Add Processing List Option to Student Selection
It would be beneficial to have an option to choose students in the student selection area from a processing list when using the Mass Change Categories utility. This option is already available in the Add/End/Delete Special Programs utility. The concept is the same and some districts (including ours) need to use categories for a large number of students. Selecting students individually would be too time consuming and would defeat the purpose of even using a category.
Copy the programming used for the Add End or Delete Special Programs utility to allow the use of processing lists in the student selection…8 votes -
Reset Tardy Counter on Tardy Kiosks
We restart the count of tardies for students at the start of a new semester so their sem 1 tardies don't carry into sem 2. They all start from 0 in the new semester. The Tardy Kiosk receipt that is printed still shows a cumulative count for the school year. Please consider adding the functionality of being able to reset the counter on the Tardy Kiosks at the end of a semester.

Instructional Responsibility for PVAAS
The percentage of shared instruction will set to default to the value based on dividing 100 by the number of teachers flagged as having instructional responsibility for a course. Our district has followed an 80/20 responsibility for two co-teacher courses and 55/35/10 for three co-teacher courses in our six elementary buildings. There is no way to change the default and each individual student record will need to be changed for all teachers. This will be a very time consuming task and may attribute to more errors when uploading to PIMS thus creating incorrect records in the PVAAS system. Instructional responsibility…

Add an Option to Select Grades Courses Only
Add an option to the report to select grades courses only. Currently that option is not available and our Withdrawal Form prints out on 4 pages. The negative impact is that we cannot utilize this Skyward Report with its current options.
Add a Course Selection field to select by either Range or Individual (just like the Student Selection option). Within the Ranges we would need the option to select graded courses only.
Our expected outcome is that we would not have to create a custom form document for student withdrawals. We would be able to utilize the Skyward Canned Report.33 votes -

case load factoring using DPI number
Currently the report looked at the Disability Code and Primary Disability (Y/N) - as the fields that should be included in a Case Load Factoring report. At this time the students disability and environmental code are not a factor. I am submitting this as an RFE as it would be beneficial to have this report in skyward to manage caseloads of staff. Currently we manually have to run a report like this then add all of the caseload factoring numbers to the students based on environmental code and grade. This is time consuming for all involved. PIMS: Extract a list of multiple students
Often I have multiple students that I need to extract PIMS data for. Currently the PIMS extract templates only all for ranges of students or 1 student at at time. Literally hours of time will be saved by PIMS administrators if a list of students could be extracted at a time. This is common functionality in other SIS systems.
Add a "By Individual" range option and then an "Individual" button" that allows the user to build a list of students. Additional ranges in Attendance Mass Change Utils
Would like to be able to add more than one day's attendance for a class or activity. At this time we can do one day at a time using Mass add for Single Day. Also we can only add attendance for a Class/Activity/Field Trip for one day. Going in one by one per student is very time consuming. If we could get a box for absence range...or by certain day of week that could be very helpful. EX: We have students that may leave our building during a certain period for 8 weeks and then return to finish the day.…

Mobile App Configuration
Requesting that the mobile app follow the entity configuration for Family Access.
We configured the Entity Configuration for Family Access not to show Homeroom and advisers as we did not want parents to be able to see these until a specific date. However the parents were able to go onto the Mobile app and see them in Student Information by clicking on the "I" button. Advisor and Homeroom are both listed. This defeated our purpose of wanting the parents to do the current student registration and then allowing them to see the schedules etc.

SAML Relying Party Configuration
I am requesting that Skyward configure SAML for Districts that have an IDP. Minnetonka has it's own IDP - we use Identity Automation. I'd like to be able to use our SSO service to log all users into Skyward by way of a SAML integration with Skyward.
I am willing to help do the testing to get this up and running. I know there are other users that use Identity Automation for an IDP and could also benefit from this type of configuration.52 votes -
Automated Email on Home Language
This is the second Skyward School District that I have worked for that believes it would be amazing to have an auto email generate when a secretary is putting in a new student and the home language is marked something other than English. This piece of information is critical for timely screening purposes and many times the information is not communicated in a timely fashion to the appropriate people. Update Student Records for all Letters sent
The goal of this enhancement is to have all letters that are sent to parents become part of the student record. The negative impact is that now we have no record of the letter being sent and nothing to refer back to if a parent would question what they received.

hall pass - include signature image and email
We would like to be able to email the Hall Pass from the Attendance tab in Student Profile directly to the student's current teacher. This would immediately let the teacher know that the student should be returning to class.
We would also like to be able to insert an image of a signature on the pass so that it is signed when emailed or printed.
