Add <login ID> field to automated email system
Presently, there is no way to configure an automatic email to students containing their Student Access Login ID—not unless you configure the username to be the same as a currently existing field, such as namekey. Ideally, we would want to configure an automated email based on the Enrollment Change/Student Entered trigger with the ability to insert <login ID>.

I would like to see more security limits under WS\ST\TB\PR\PR . I don't want them to be able to change student’s names here.
I want our secretaries to be able to update the "General Information" but I don't want them to be able to change the legal "Student Name".

Student Profile Column Adjustment
Would love the ability to adjust the size of the Activity Tab column (left to right) in Student Profile. Would also be nice if the columns that get adjusted would remain the size you chose until they were altered again.

Add a No Show Automated Email
Indiana Districts are required to report one-day mobility. The easiest way to create this enrollment/withdrawal record is to use the No Show tool. This ensures that staff are following the directive setup by the district with the No Show option to ensure a withdrawal date and schedule adjustment is processed correctly every time. This part of the puzzle is perfect. The enrollment records that are created with the No Show will not trigger an automated email. They are not processed as a withdrawal. In order to accurately, and easily communicate when a student is "no showed" we need an additional…

Have a Mass Assign Course Fees
Have the ability to mass change the course fees for the new year. After copying current to future the amounts usually need changed. Instead of entering them one by one have the option to mass change the amount. For example our 20 English courses have the same fee amount. Instead of going into each individual record have a mass change to a set amount.

USE OF TEAMS IN REPORTS-ATTENDANCE
In Day Summary Report I need to print this out by Team but can only print it out by grade. If you can add the option to print by Team it would save me a lot of work. Right now I have to use a Processing List for each Team and we have 10 Teams. There are other reports that we can't use for Teams as well that if added would be great and save time and trouble.

Course Requests Configuration by Grade Level
In the Course Request Configuration in Student Access, we can choose the option to Use Course Request Time Periods to Determine if a Window is Open, and set up the time period by Grade Level. This option is helpful, but we need to also Limit the Number of Requested Credits by grade level. Sometimes the request windows can overlap.

Automated Discipline Letters
The option to have automated Discipline Letters much like the Attendance Letters would be helpful for parents and schools. The idea is that the letters would automatically generate discipline offense letters when a student accumulates 5, 10, 15, and 20 offenses or any combination set by the district that could be mailed and printed as well as posted in Family Access.

Two (2) Signature (Administered By) Fields for Medications
Our nurses have indicated that TWO(2) signatures are required for administering medications. We need to have two places for Administered by to be in compliance with regulations.

Mass Change Receive Forms
I'd like an option to run a utility to mass change family flags to receive forms.

SkyScan Install Options
Update the SkyScan installer to support command line switches including the silent install. This would allow us to push the installation and not have to manually install it.

Notifying districts when Skyward is down.
Our district's skyward has been down sense around 11:00 AM this morning. We had to call around 11:30 AM to see what the issue was. Its now 3:41 PM and no updates or notifications have been sent out with the outage.

Separate Waiver Code for LEP and ESL
When a student is EB because of a waiver, they can be waivered for LEP or ESL. Right now there is one radio button for both LEP and ESL waivers. This does not allow us to create an indicator based on if the student is waivered for LEP or for ESL. It would be helpful if these were separated so we can create a student indicator for a student with a waiver for LEP separately from a student with a waiver for ESL.

Student Browse - Advisor Field cut off
WS\ST\ST Student Browse - School Information Fields
Advisor field is cut off
In the Student Browse > General Profile View, the Advisor name is cut off. Please expand the field to include the entire content
Please also expand all the fields in Student Brown\Profile\School Information (the email address field was expanded in 2020) but the rest need to be as well
This is the name students and parents see in Family Access so if it's cut off it is confusing

family information
In the family information section where there are the boxes for CBC, Cust, and Pick, can you add a box for placement as well. We are running into the issue with some staff misinterpreting that custody means the right to make educational decisions vs when it's only for placement purposes (where the child is living). This would be VERY beneficial for the schools and staff that work with said students and sped paperwork.

Training for Scheduling
PowerSchool offers training for scheduling. Could Skyward offer the same? This would be extremely helpful.

Attendance Type Codes
This year, State of Indiana DOE implemented 6 new attendance type codes to collect additional data regarding the reason for excused absences. The new codes have two characters, but when adding new codes in Skyward, that field is limited to one character. I know we can use whatever code we want and crosswalk to the state codes, but it would be much easier for staff to interpret attendance reports if we could use the same two character codes as IDOE vs arbitrarily chosen single character codes.

AI Chatbot for Skyward Instructions (not student data related)
Complex systems like SMS benefit from dedicated AI Chatbots. Searching directions using keywords results in dozens of sets of long and often redundant directions and the keywords used in the search do not always pull the correct set of directions. AI chatbots can help find answers and provide links to further information very efficiently. It can customize responses as it learns the user's role in the district and how SMS is set up for them (e.g. a teacher using secondary or standards based grading). It could give suggestions of features the user didn't know to ask about and give feedback…

Flexibility in listing absences in attendance letters
When creating custom attendance letters, tables listing student absences must currently match the absence codes used in the threshold to generate those letters. I request the flexibility to trigger letters based on specific absence types (e.g., unexcused only) while displaying all absence types (both excused and unexcused) in the letter itself.

Buddy Blocker and/or lock certain classes/blocks
As we get ready for future scheduling, can you check with the Skyward rep to see if 2 features are available for us to use:
Student Constraints (Buddy Blocker) - is there a feature in Skyward that allows us to identify students that should not be placed together? Even further, is there a feature to indicate a soft block (admin recommendation as students are disruptive together in class) or a hard lock (must be seperated due to fights/restraining orders, etc). I see information about creating teams, but I am unsure how that would work at the high school where we…
