Mass update early Middle College incoming freshman
Early Middle College incoming freshman coming to an EMC high School to update the incoming class instead of updating individually each freshman as early middle college. Currently each student has to be entered.

Utility to Mass update Developmental KG on Entry Withdrawal Screen
Several buildings have Y5 classes and a utility is needed to change the Developmental KG flag from Yes to No when students move from Y5 into Kindergarten. Currently this has to be done student by Student.

More options for printing career plans
There are currently very few options for printing career plans. The student career plan report prints the description and not the curriculum key. We have made several changes for how we display our sped courses and have needed to update career plans for multiple students, however I only know who they are based on the curriculum - it's not one grade level/campus/endorsement/etc. Some extremely helpful options include:

Regarding when a studen
When a student switches sections, if the school is on an A/B schedule/rotation: Please change the parameters of the assignments so that the system does not use the date as one of the criteria for an assignment to match from one section to another. Thank you.

Attendance Type Codes
This year, State of Indiana DOE implemented 6 new attendance type codes to collect additional data regarding the reason for excused absences. The new codes have two characters, but when adding new codes in Skyward, that field is limited to one character. I know we can use whatever code we want and crosswalk to the state codes, but it would be much easier for staff to interpret attendance reports if we could use the same two character codes as IDOE vs arbitrarily chosen single character codes.

AI Chatbot for Skyward Instructions (not student data related)
Complex systems like SMS benefit from dedicated AI Chatbots. Searching directions using keywords results in dozens of sets of long and often redundant directions and the keywords used in the search do not always pull the correct set of directions. AI chatbots can help find answers and provide links to further information very efficiently. It can customize responses as it learns the user's role in the district and how SMS is set up for them (e.g. a teacher using secondary or standards based grading). It could give suggestions of features the user didn't know to ask about and give feedback…

Attendance count/ minutes in and out on Report Cards
When using the minutes in and minutes out in attendance and you have 2 periods....it is counting a full 1/2 day when you enter and excused on in Period 1 regardless of how long they were gone. It should pull onto the report card the same way it pulls to the state. This should be an easy fix.

NSOE Mass Purge Using Processing List
In order to be in compliance with the Wisconsin Public School District General Records Schedule for record retention, we can only keep enrollment/registration forms for 7 years after the withdrawal date. Being able to mass purge with a processing list of students who meet that criteria would be beneficial.

"All Students" preview screen
When making changes for families and selecting "All Students," having an option to have a pop-up show the changes that will take place, along with a confirmation asking if you'd like to proceed. This could help cause fewer issues with changes being made and affecting other families/blended families.

We'd like a way for the bus number to populate in Student Access.
In student access, not parent access, if the student could see the assigned bus number, it would save some headaches at school dismissal.

Allow Student Indicator for Threat Assessment on Offense or BTA in Special Programs
It would be VERY great to have a Student Indicator available that is based on either the Discipline Offense record SSS Threat Assessment checkbox, or the Special Programs BTA record.
Yes, there is a work around if you use the District Categories - BUT that requires more steps on already overworked staff and adds MORE chance of human error in data entry that may cascade into other areas.

Giving more flexibility when selecting students in SIS Exports
It would be very helpful if we could use processing lists in addition to the range and individual student choice in SIS exports. Many times I have to correct data for groups of students and this would speed that up.

The login is already used
Skyward is Assigning Other IDs already used by other students. Please fix this issue. This is probably due to students being merged and the ID becomes available, but then Skyward assigned the ID to a different student and we cant assign the ID and password to this new student. See error.

Family custom forms
Skyward gives us the access to create a Parent custom Form so Families can fill out just one form per family, but we are unable to print the form. It would be nice to be able to print the Parent Custom Form we create too.

STAFF INFORMATION REPORT
It would be nice if we could print the Teacher transaction dates on the report. These are very important for Texas State Reporting.

Attendance Tab - Add the option to select specific days of the week for reoccurring absences during a specific hour(s).
If a student has an appointment during 7th and 8th hour every Thursday for three consecutive weeks, we have to choose each date, add in the attendance, save and then choose the next date. Being able to isolate specific class periods for specific days of the week within a date range, would make for a smoother process.

Have a setting in security to allow access only to active students
We have some employee types, such as paras, that need limited information for students. We would like to be able to limit this access to Active students only. There is no need to see all students that ever attended that entity.

alternate student name
Is it possible to have a space for a student's preferred name and run reports using the preferred name? We have several students using different names than their birth name in Skyward and it would be amazing if we can see their preferred name so we are not dead naming them.

Search by legal name
It would be great if we could search for a student by either their legal name OR other name and have it show up without having to go into Student Filters.
Sometimes it is hard to remember which is the legal vs other OR if a student even has a different legal name that we need to be looking up by.
