Custom report card migration of subjects/skills/co
Every year while updating custom report cards it is a manual process to clone them to a new year. The cloning process does NOT recognize cloning the subjects/skills/comments from year to year. It asks to chose again for the current year. This is an overwhelming amount of work as total changes can be over 30 areas per report card/term/grade.
Asking that when cloning the school year in custom report card that it will duplicate the prior year report card in total - no edits required.40 votes -
Add security to disable Teacher Scorecard
I have turned on the Teacher Scorecard feature. I have also enabled the Class Information link for office staff to view class rosters when clicking the Class Information Link from the Student Profile > Current Scheduling tab. I have only given permission to view the Class Roster. However the Teacher Scorecard displays as well which I don't want them to view. Security allows you to control many options of the Class Summary: Gradebook Lesson Scheduler Class Summary and Curriculum Map but not the Teacher Scorecard. Please include Teacher Scorecard as a secured option in WS\OF\CI in order to disable this…

Family Access User Portal Available from District
Please make the Family Access User Portal available to select when in the District Entity. So many times as a district user I have to view Family Access users. I have to switch to any entity (even if it is not the one the parent is associated with) and then I can search for the Family Access User. It would make like so much easier if it was viewable through the district. Saving as a favorite does not work as soon as you click on the district entity that favorite is removed from the list.

Student Grading Notifications
We recently started using Student Access Grading Notifications and informed our students how to set them up. We would like to know how many students are actually using this feature but there isn't a way for us to see that. We would like to see a view added to the Student Access Users Screen similar to what is seen in the Family Access Users Screen titled "Email Notification Alerts." This would give us a quick glance of who has and who hasn't signed up for email grading notifications.

Display Day Rotation in Attendance
When a teacher opens Student Information (blue "i" icon) to view attendance for all classes they cannot see the Day Rotation on the absence records. The day rotation code displays in a variety of other screens but having it display here would be helpful for the teacher to view trends. Please consider adding the Day Rotation column to this screen to assist teachers.

Fee Management Receipt Functionality
We are getting multiple emails and calls from our Child Care parents that are trying to print statements from Family Access / Fee Management. These parents are having a hard time with their employer as the receipts do not show the service dates that a specific payment covers. The receipt shows the date a specific payment was made but does not show the date range the payment covers. The end result is that parents are being denied reimbursement from their employer as the receipt does not show this information. For some parents this creates a financial issue.

Update Password Complexity Requirements
I am requesting that Skyward update the password complexity requirements. Minimum password length = 8 characters. Must also meet three of the four criteria:
1) one or more uppercase letters
2) one or more lowercase letter
3) one or more numerals
4) one or more symbols

Student Name Field Not Long Enough
Student name fields do not allow enough characters to allow for full legal name to be inputted. Need to increase number of characters allowed in first middle and last name fields.

Filter Options
Teachers are looking at their class lists on the main page under the widgets. This is listing all student for them whether they are active or not. When you click on teacher's students there is a filter there but they don't have the option to change anything. There is no security for this setting. The filter follows the transaction dates. It would be nice to be able to have teacher filter out the inactive kids especially when they return in the fall and there has been quite a bit of movement for students.

Print Days Meet on Class Roster
We have a two day rotation (B/W) with each day having periods 1-5. When teachers print the Class Roster they would like to have the Days Meet Pattern print on the Class Roster Report. Thank you.

STAAR EOC Performance Level I needed on STAAR EOC
In order to track which students have taken an exam and failed we need to be able to see Level I performance on a required EOC exam not just Level II and III.
Standards change depending on whether a student is testing for the first time or repeating an exam already failed.12 votes -
Create field for number of days enrolled
Due to state requirements for testing adding a field for total number of days enrolled (which would update daily or given the ability to set as a scheduled task) would be very helpful and decrease workload. Not having this option significantly increases workload for districts.

Mass Print Portfolio Attachments
Allowing parents to upload registration documents in the online registration module places them in the student portfolio tab. At this time there is no way to mass print those attachment so if 1000 parents upload attachments we have to go to each individual student and print them. That is a lot of work hours. If we were able to mass print them by type and date range we could save hours or even days worth of work.

We love the way the class roster prints out and the fact that is will indicate your LEP and Spec ed students but if it also printed out the GT and the 504's that would be excellent. Please consider adding these to the template.

Add Student Email and Special Ed Active Fields
Add student student school email and special education active fields as options under Skyward Fields to Use. Currently these 2 fields are not available to use in custom student forms yet 504 active and guardian email are. My district has needed the student email and special ed active fields for 3 different custom forms.

IEP Agreements
My understanding is that because we have multiple IEP forms created a student would have to have all 5 forms complete for the instructors to get the "agreement" check box. This causes an issue for us because our students come to us from 5 different school districts so a student will only have 1 IEP form - not all 5 assigned to them.
I would request consideration to allow an IEP to be signed off on by teachers based on one form being complete.23 votes -
Build table of CIDORs
Currently the field for Campus ID of Residence is a free form text field. It would be beneficial to have a table created so that valid codes could be chosen from a drop down list.
Negative impact would be entry of CIDOR that is out of designated boundaries higher possibility of data entry errors and more time consuming data entry on every entry.
Having the valid codes provided will allow for less data entry fewer errors and cleaner data.12 votes -
Would like the transcript tab in Family Access
It would be a huge help if students could view the transcript tab in Family Access to see if the school has sent out the transcripts to the colleges that they had requested and when.
65 votesGreat suggestion! One way that transcript sent information can be visible in Family and Student Access is to use Data Mining and the Report Directory. This will even work for any information you can put together in a Data Mining report!
Within Data Mining, after you’ve created the report, you can select which entities you’d want this to be available for Family Access Display tab. You will then need to turn on the Report Directory within the Family Access Entity Configuration (WS\FA\FM\PS\CF\EC) and enable for Student and/or Family Access.
Once setup, your students or guardians can login and navigate to the Portfolio tab and they will be able to run these reports. The benefit to this is that when the report generates, only results for the appropriate student will display.
