Allow student names to include an apostrophe when appropriate
Many cultures utilize an apostrophe when naming their children. Currently skyward doesn't allow this. I teach kindergarten and we spend a lot of time focusing on our names and talking about how important they are. I am having a hard time explainging to my student why his name looks incorrect on his report card. :( In this day and age of diversity and tolerance, maybe this is something you should consider changing within your platform?

could you please add "COVID testing" in the drop down box as a selection to make under "reason for visit", and also under "treatments"...the

Add Guardian Language choice to the Extra Information options that can be selected for the Student Profile header
The student language field is an option on the Extra Information to Display list for the customizable header information in student profile. For our district it is more important that we can see the Family 1 home language field because that would indicate if an interpreter is needed when calling. Please consider adding the guardian language field as an option on this list. An alternative would be to create a new field called Interpreter Needed and making that available on this screen.

Here is what I submitted to the help desk but was suggested I do this:
When I do discipline entries, I have a box to click when I have taken the time/initiative to contact a parent regarding an incident. This is helpful. I am wondering if there is a way to do the same for if the School Resource Officer (SRO) is involved. For example, a child is found in possession of a pocket knife. Typically, the admin would enter the information into Skyward. I would most likely select the 'parent notified' box but would also like to select/somehow designate…6 votes -

It would be nice to be able to adjust the order of the student indicators. Used to be we selected what slot, now that we have the open ended (which is FANTASTIC) we need to be able to select in what order they display.

Expand Language Translator
Would it be possible to have the capability to translate more in the Language Translator? I would like to see areas for translation expanded to include such areas as the heading on the report card, such as: Course, Earned, Absences, Tardies (whatever headings districts may use). Also, we show Cumulative GPA, Year to Date GPA, Cumulative Earned Credits, Year to Date GPA Credits on the report card. Additional information we show: Grade, Advisor and Term. These are many areas which remain in English. We would like to have a more detailed Spanish translation of the report card than mostly an…

Custom Report Card Teacher Name Print Option
With the requirement for smaller class sizes, the setup for grade level teachers has changed. There is still the traditional one-teacher classroom, but now there is also a cohort group of students who have a different teacher for every curriculum area. To accommodate this on the Standards Custom Report Card, the subject object is set to print the teacher/class with the subject area grades. There can also be team teaching, so the subject object needs to be set to print "All Teachers." Secondary Gradebook 2 Seating Charts
Hello:
Due to the virtual and hybrid as well as in person instructional choices, our teachers have inquired if it would be possible to have two different seating charts within the same class. I know that Student Groups can be created but do these groups also offer separate seating chart options? If so how can this be accomplished?

Link Conferences with the Sub Assignment
It would be extremely helpful if the sub assignment would also link the conferences for the teacher they are covering for. The sub needs to have access to view the conferences as they will be the one attending them while the teacher of record is out.

Wellness Screener changes
• Ability to turn on/off based on entity and by grade level
o We might be bringing students back into the buildings based on grade level. Doesn’t make sense for all parents district wide to see the screener if they are still 100% remote.
o We have an Area Career Center as part of our setup and they may not be moving to the Skyward Wellness Screener.
• Ability to add to questions or change questions
• Ability for reports to have the option to print for students not in their default entity

Ability to autogenerate both usernames AND email addresses
When defining the user Login format, if I want it to be an email address, I apparently can NOT also generate email addresses. If Skyward didn't hard-code the '@' sign into the "Automatically Generate Email Addresses" option, then this would not be a problem.
Remove the hard-coded '@' sign from email auto-generation, and also expand the "text" parts to allow for additional character length.

Currently, we are being asked to create multiple schedules for multiple scenarios. Would it be possible to have several Future Scheduling modules? Such as a 20-21A, 20-21B, 20-21-C? This would allow is to build all of the options and then quickly pivot when decisions are made in August.

add Alpha as an option in student schedule run
Not knowing what the potential constraints may be next year with COVID19 we are thinking ahead to possible scheduling options and what a school day may look like. One idea that has been floated is to split the days alphabetically and have A-K come days 1,3,5 and L-Z come days 2,4,6. So with that being said, would it be impossible to add ALPHA as an option in the schedule run area under "Balance by Student Attributes" ?

Add a Confirmation on Withdrawal
Make the person who is withdrawing a student enter their initials to a question - "Do you have appropriate documentation to withdraw?"
