Teachers can change the gradebook view and report cards can be printed with 'other name'. But students still see legal name in their log in.6 votes -
Enter in the Change History address information for existing students.
When we have KG's WITH EXISTING SIBLINGS and the parent enters in an address that is not what is on the existing siblings address info, but NSOE links the students together and updates the existing students address......can this be made and entry in the Change History tab? An address change on the existing student with the program of NSOE would be great.

A WAY TO CHECK FOR HOLES IN THE STANDARDS REPORT CARDS
Can we look at finding a way to look for holes in the Standards Gradebook like we do with the Secondary Gradebook? We have both gradebooks in our district and we are closing out the end of the school year and I want to make sure that every student has a grade for each skill/subject. It may not help for this year, but next year would be great.

Add Additional Column to Course Master-Details View for Teacher Conferences
Add an “Allow Teacher Conferences” column to the Course Master - Course Details view to avoid having to expand each course or run additional reports to see which courses are set to allow teacher conferences and which are not.

Allow for sorting by other categories when posting daily attendance by name.
Allow for sorting by other categories (such as student indicators) when posting daily attendance by name. This way, teachers that are conducting classes in-person and virtually at the same time can sort quickly.

Clear All Missing Work Checks for a Quarter
It would be wonderful to be able to clear all the missing work checks for all students in all assignments in a class for a quarter at once instead of having to do them assignment by assignment.

Allow student names to include an apostrophe when appropriate
Many cultures utilize an apostrophe when naming their children. Currently skyward doesn't allow this. I teach kindergarten and we spend a lot of time focusing on our names and talking about how important they are. I am having a hard time explainging to my student why his name looks incorrect on his report card. :( In this day and age of diversity and tolerance, maybe this is something you should consider changing within your platform?

Add Guardian Language choice to the Extra Information options that can be selected for the Student Profile header
The student language field is an option on the Extra Information to Display list for the customizable header information in student profile. For our district it is more important that we can see the Family 1 home language field because that would indicate if an interpreter is needed when calling. Please consider adding the guardian language field as an option on this list. An alternative would be to create a new field called Interpreter Needed and making that available on this screen.

Here is what I submitted to the help desk but was suggested I do this:
When I do discipline entries, I have a box to click when I have taken the time/initiative to contact a parent regarding an incident. This is helpful. I am wondering if there is a way to do the same for if the School Resource Officer (SRO) is involved. For example, a child is found in possession of a pocket knife. Typically, the admin would enter the information into Skyward. I would most likely select the 'parent notified' box but would also like to select/somehow designate…6 votes -

It would be nice to be able to adjust the order of the student indicators. Used to be we selected what slot, now that we have the open ended (which is FANTASTIC) we need to be able to select in what order they display.

Expand Language Translator
Would it be possible to have the capability to translate more in the Language Translator? I would like to see areas for translation expanded to include such areas as the heading on the report card, such as: Course, Earned, Absences, Tardies (whatever headings districts may use). Also, we show Cumulative GPA, Year to Date GPA, Cumulative Earned Credits, Year to Date GPA Credits on the report card. Additional information we show: Grade, Advisor and Term. These are many areas which remain in English. We would like to have a more detailed Spanish translation of the report card than mostly an…

Custom Report Card Teacher Name Print Option
With the requirement for smaller class sizes, the setup for grade level teachers has changed. There is still the traditional one-teacher classroom, but now there is also a cohort group of students who have a different teacher for every curriculum area. To accommodate this on the Standards Custom Report Card, the subject object is set to print the teacher/class with the subject area grades. There can also be team teaching, so the subject object needs to be set to print "All Teachers." However, sometimese EL and SPED teachers have access to enter grades in the primary teacher's grade book, so…

Secondary Gradebook 2 Seating Charts
Hello:
Due to the virtual and hybrid as well as in person instructional choices, our teachers have inquired if it would be possible to have two different seating charts within the same class. I know that Student Groups can be created but do these groups also offer separate seating chart options? If so how can this be accomplished?

Link Conferences with the Sub Assignment
It would be extremely helpful if the sub assignment would also link the conferences for the teacher they are covering for. The sub needs to have access to view the conferences as they will be the one attending them while the teacher of record is out.
