Print Students schedules from Skyward like they do from Student Acess
Schedules print from Student and Family Access in a very easy to read format, especially for complex day rotations. We would like to see that type of schedule format available from Current Scheduling, Reports, Student Schedules. We have complex day rotations at our Middle School, especially our 6th grade classes with both Trimester, and Year Long Classes that meet different days throughout the week, sometimes one day, some times two days, sometime 6 days. Texas - Fix years in US Schools utility
The Years in US Schools utility has never worked correctly. Not once. We need someone to revisit the flawed programming logic behind it. This should be a simple process and it is a nightmare every year. This was not a problem in either of the prior systems we utilized. We are tired of hand-correcting student records because the utility skips them. First, the utility should allow you to update blank years with zeros before running. Need ability to default for new families check boxes for Receive Report Cards, Print Hard Copy Report Cards and Receive Forms.
We can do so for custodial and pickup, but not for the report card stuff.
We spend lots of time double checking why someone didn't get a mailing or a report card due to a box being left unchecked by accident.

Creating a Teacher Aide (TA) button to add a student to a section roster as a TA w/o having to create a new TA section
Creating TA specific sections of a course allows us to keep track of specific TA sections of a course for attendance, reports, etc. However it causes us to have many sections to have to be created for just one single student in this position, thus creating a large, unwieldy section master.
Could a TA button be added to scheduling so that any student enrolled in an existing section could be made a TA (shows on teacher roster as such and changes grading to P/F) by just clicking the button? We had this with a previous SIS that we used and…

Update Custom Form/Advance Custom Form Watermark and Date/Time Stamp to show Current User filling out the form not the Family 1/ Guardian 1 as shown on the top when forms are printed. This can be used for legal verification of who filled in and submitted the form.

Stop Ala Carte Purchase option enabled by parents on Skyward Family Access
This is a great option, however, the message is confusing in POS. Instead of saying " A Permanent Stop Purchase option is set for STUDENT NAME," can it read "A Permanent Stop Ala Carte Purchase option is set for STUDENT NAME?

Increase the Font size on the Vaccination Report for faxes
The font on the Vaccination Report needs to be larger so it is legible when faxed to other schools. Now it cannot be read in a fax because the font is too small. If necessary to accommodate a larger font, it can be made landscape instead of portrait.

Tardy Kiosk and In/Out minutes for state of IL
The check in times on the Tardy kiosk are not saved in the same place as the in/out minutes used for IL state ADA reporting. I know the state has changed lots of attendance requirements, but many districts are continuing with the ADA standards for attendance.
Since these are 2 different fields, it still requires staff to go into each student's record to input the check in time.
If there could be an option to have the tardy kiosk check in times tied to the in/out minutes for IL state reporting, I think more districts would use it.

Add Comments Field to Attendance in Secondary GB
Add a "Comments Field" in Attendance in the Secondary Gradebook so that when a teacher entered attendance they could also enter a comment next to that field to indicate the time a student actually arrived in class and there would be a record of it. This would help to hold kids accountable for when they arrive to class and also show a pattern for tardiness or absences.

Capability to give teachers access in their gradebooks to Physicals tab in Student Profile
It would be extremely helpful if teachers could have the capability of having access to the Physicals tab in Student Profile from their gradebooks. This would be so coaches could have access to their scanned physicals. We know this is already an option for the Student Portfolio, but the problem is that we have scans in this area that they cannot legally see due to FERPA and HIPAA.

Customized Drop Down Menu for Withdrawal Notes
The ability to customize reasons for withdrawal so it is easier to create a dashboard once you export out of skyward. Our superintendent wanted to know the top 5 reasons kids were withdrawing but since it is all typed manually not all statements were identical even if they were saying the same thing. Having a pre-made drop down menu would make this seemless.

College Credit HoursCurrently the only option is service id, but many times updates are needed with these other fields. This would assist districts with updating courses over multiple years (such as current & future) for multiple campuses.

Positive Attendance
We use Positive Attendance for students to check in to Student Services or the Health Center. This creates an attendance record so the teacher knows where they are. It would be great if these students could also "check out" when they are leaving that location so we can track where they are.

Discipline Action Details
When entering multiple discipline action dates for the same student it would be extremely helpful if when entering different incidents with different actions a pop-up warning would alert the user entering the action that the dates over-lap with a previously entered incident/action entry. We often have several incidents entered that happen on different days with different actions but it is easy to get the dates mixed and over-lapped when the incidents are consecutive data order. A pop-up warning when entering actions dates alerting user that action dates already existing for this day would be extremely helpful in creating accurate discipline…

Add Special Programs for export
We now have new Special Programs (Grad Pathways ILEARN ISTEP Retest) as well as other programs Title I Shrtnd Day Not Tested that are not available in Data Mining. We need them to be. SkyBuild Export only has eight of the Special Programs available for export. It would help if they also would appear in Skybuild.

Family 1 Family 2 Prompt to delete EmergContact
In a divorce situation where there are two family records we would like a prompt to the 2nd family/parent when Family 1 deletes them as an emergency contact. The prompt to Family 2 would be to approve or deny the delete request. We're aware we can have this setting enabled for the campus registrar to review/approve/deny the request but don't want that burden on them. This is a hot topic for our district that has come up several times and has made its way to our leadership as well as parent calls directly to Skyward's leadership.

Add report to track number of families using FA
My district is trying to determine an approximate percentage of families/guardians who utilize Family Access for each entity and in a given time frame. I can run a Login History report but that doesn't give me a count or a comparison to the total number of users for calculating a percent. Please provide a report or data mining utility that will calculate a percentage or will allow a data mining export so we can calculate Family Access Usage based on our own criteria.
