PA Act 158 Endorsement Enhancement
As part of PA Act 158 pathways to graduation tracking many many pathways are easy. The evidence based pathway however requires the 3 pieces of evidence from a list. While some are test score based some would be curriculum cluster based and some are milestone based so there is no single way to say any 3 combination of those items. I would like to see a way to apply the "3 items" rule generically so it can be 1 test score, 1 mile stone, and 1 cluster , or 2 test score, and 1 mile stone, etc.

Teacher Rosters
It would be helpful if teachers could see rosters of other classes without opening them up to teacher tracking where they then can see gradebooks, etc. Just a limited view of rosters in their building, by course or teacher.

Attendance Type Codes
This year, State of Indiana DOE implemented 6 new attendance type codes to collect additional data regarding the reason for excused absences. The new codes have two characters, but when adding new codes in Skyward, that field is limited to one character. I know we can use whatever code we want and crosswalk to the state codes, but it would be much easier for staff to interpret attendance reports if we could use the same two character codes as IDOE vs arbitrarily chosen single character codes.

Advanced Math Indicator not tied to Course Code
It was stated in a recent Q& A that the Advanced Math Indicator for Summer 2026 PEIMS submission would be tied to students who are enrolled in courses using the new Advanced Math Course Codes. The state does not require us to use those course codes however for students who need the Advanced Math Indicator. We are allowed to use locally created courses for those students. We will need another way to indicate students who need the Advanced Math Indicator other than only students in courses with the identified course codes.

AI Chatbot for Skyward Instructions (not student data related)
Complex systems like SMS benefit from dedicated AI Chatbots. Searching directions using keywords results in dozens of sets of long and often redundant directions and the keywords used in the search do not always pull the correct set of directions. AI chatbots can help find answers and provide links to further information very efficiently. It can customize responses as it learns the user's role in the district and how SMS is set up for them (e.g. a teacher using secondary or standards based grading). It could give suggestions of features the user didn't know to ask about and give feedback…

Flexibility in listing absences in attendance letters
When creating custom attendance letters, tables listing student absences must currently match the absence codes used in the threshold to generate those letters. I request the flexibility to trigger letters based on specific absence types (e.g., unexcused only) while displaying all absence types (both excused and unexcused) in the letter itself.

Buddy Blocker and/or lock certain classes/blocks
As we get ready for future scheduling, can you check with the Skyward rep to see if 2 features are available for us to use:
Student Constraints (Buddy Blocker) - is there a feature in Skyward that allows us to identify students that should not be placed together? Even further, is there a feature to indicate a soft block (admin recommendation as students are disruptive together in class) or a hard lock (must be seperated due to fights/restraining orders, etc). I see information about creating teams, but I am unsure how that would work at the high school where we…

Edit UID on TN/NCLB
Can the option to edit the TN Unique ID field on the TN/NCLB screen be allowed? This field is currently not editable. At times students have a legacy State ID not matching the Unique ID as they should. If we find the correct match per the Ed-Fi > Request Individual IDs, we cannot select it since the student already been assigned the wrong one. Being able to update the UID to match correctly would be very helpful.

Allow more than one concurrent enrollment statuses on a students KIDS data.
Allow more than one concurrent enrollment statuses on a students KIDS data. I have several students this semester that are enrolled in college classes through our community college and also taking tech classes through the technical college. It only allows me to have one status. So when it comes to our ENRL, right now, I can only enter one of these criteria, not both. It would be nice to have this shown on the students records for KIDS reporting.

Attendance count/ minutes in and out on Report Cards
When using the minutes in and minutes out in attendance and you have 2 periods....it is counting a full 1/2 day when you enter and excused on in Period 1 regardless of how long they were gone. It should pull onto the report card the same way it pulls to the state. This should be an easy fix.

Comments on Health Condition indicator at a certain security level for Student Indicator
Allow all members of the Student Management group to view comments on Health Conditions indicated by the Health Condition indicator at a specific security level for Student Indicators without giving access to the entire students' IHP.

NSOE Mass Purge Using Processing List
In order to be in compliance with the Wisconsin Public School District General Records Schedule for record retention, we can only keep enrollment/registration forms for 7 years after the withdrawal date. Being able to mass purge with a processing list of students who meet that criteria would be beneficial.

Option To Open Skyward In Same Tab After Logging In
I currently use SSO to sign into Skyward but also have the Allow Use of Skyward Password logon option as well. When I'm in Preferences, I have an option "Open Skyward in Same Tab After Logging in" which is great. When I click on the question mark next to it, it states "This only applies when logging in with a Skyward or Network Password. This does not apply when logging in using Single Sign On (SSO)." Is there a way you can make this available for the rest of my users who do use SSO but don't have the option…

transport miles shown in Family Access (along with route and stop)
In order for students to be eligible for free transportation or for a parent to know if they need to fill out a parent paid contract, parents need to know the miles transported (which comes back from Riteway and gets loaded into Skyward). However, miles is not shown in Family Access. Miles needs to be added as a field in Family Access Busing :

Could there be a print button in Family Access for parents to print the student discipline offenses? Either one at a time or all at once (history) option.

Fee Management/Activities
When families ADD a Fee to pay for in Family Access, it would be beneficial if the names would auto-populate to Activities so we don't have to manually type them in.

CROSS ENTITY REPOPRT TO VIEW HOW MANY SEATS ARE SHARED WITH OTHER CAMPUSES.
Create a report that will show how many seats have been shared with other campuses that have cross entity. It would be so useful to know how many seats are shared and send that report instead of having to go back into the section to see this information.

Add the generation code field to the Student Registration/Emergency Form Maintenance
We have used this report for years to finalize seniors demographic information before final transcripts are completed. I don't remember this being a problem before but the generation code is not printing on this form.
