Distinguishing "missing" from "pending" grades
In Skyward, if a teacher enters an assignment but does not instantly post the grade (given that the due date has been entered accurately), the student/parent dashboard lists the assignment at the top of the page as "missing." However, if I enter an assignment and am in the process of grading it, I need Skyward NOT to communicate incorrect things to parents/students. Please change that. There is a spot for me to mark a grade as "missing" as I enter grades for students who failed to submit a particular assignment. This must be distinguishable from a pending grade for which…

Add Prompt to Update Students Tied to Incident
When users attempt to edit an Offense Code for students tied to an Incident there is no option to change the code whether it's temporary or inaccurate. Skyward misleads the users by sending them to the Offense Code screen to select a different code. The program should allow for updating all students tied to the Incident when the Configuration setting to force students to have the same Offense code is engaged. Different rights for different parents
In some cases we have a parent who has educational rights but has a protective order from knowing where mom/child live. By law we have to give parent rights to kids grades but not where he/she lives guardians names registration info etc. Skyward really needs to add a code of some sort that ONLY gives that member of the family rights to the GRADES tab not attendance not student info nothing else!!!!

Add Student Grad/Grad Year to Report
Our Principals rely heavily on the Chronic Attendance Report. It would be very helpful for this report to include student grade level/grad year and/or the ability to sort by grade/grad year. It would also be helpful if a range of percentages could be entered and only those students print. I currently have to print it for each grade level put it in Excel and delete the students with less than 10% absent.

Add a grade range option when setting up a Family Access Bill Code
Our high schools are grades 10-12. After pre-transfers are turned on, 9th graders can add and pay for high school fees that are in the Family Access Bill Code Setup. This happens mostly with yearbooks, and we've added the high school name to the description, but many 9th grade guardians continue to add and pay for a high school yearbook, mistakenly thinking they are purchasing a middle school yearbook. It would be helpful to add a grade range on the setup so that we can exclude it from showing as a fee for 9th graders.

Tie notes to the STUDENT and not the person who created it
When creating a note on a student of any kind, can the note be tied to the STUDENT and not the person that created it? We have staff that created notes and when they left, for some reason, their notes did not transfer. It would be nice if the note were attached to the student so that if the staff that created the not leaves the notes stay in place.

Skybuild/CTE Family Import
Because CTE is growing by leaps and bounds, ISD's and RESD's have a need to import and overwrite much more student demographics information. In particular Family and Emergency Contact information.
Currently, Family information imports that we use between district databases and our CTE database can only be imported once. After that, the settings to overwrite family information is not available in Skybuild Imports. This prevents us from providing critical Student and Family information updates between systems.
For that matter limiting the districts ability to overwrite data using an import is a bit of an over reach.

Change History in the gradebook.
Teachers often change due dates for assignments. There is no history to show this. It would be nice to see when any change is made in gradebook.

Option to include future transactions in graduation requirement progress
Our district uses future transactions to drop or add a course at term or semester break because the ability to edit the terms on courses creates many other issues with our third party exports, state reporting for membership, attendance, etc. However, when future transactions are used, a course that will be added or dropped is not included in a student's graduation requirements. This makes it difficult to determine which students are actually deficient in credit for graduation. Improving Access to Custom Forms in the Skyward Mobile App
Many parents have expressed interest in being able to access custom forms directly through the Skyward mobile app. The technology department gets numerous calls and support requests from parents stating they are unable to locate the custom forms. If integrating custom forms into the app is not feasible, an alternative solution could be to add a "Custom Forms" button or link within the app. This "Button" would redirect parents to access those forms through their web browser. Total Days Absent
Would like to see the total number of days absent as an option in a custom attendance letter. Right now when I pull in "Attendance Count" it is actually just showing the number of periods missed rather than total days missed.

District and School Accountable Dropdown
It would greatly help if the District Accountable and School Accountable fields would be drop down/lookup fields similar to the Res Dist field. It is easy to mistype the codes.

Economically Disadvantaged Current Year (Y/N)
It would be nice to be able to export if a student is current year economically disadvantaged. We could also do it through Data Mining processing lists if necessary. With current setup it's only achievable with manual intervention.

Need an option to prompt for an effective date when adding/editing a primary or alternate teacher on a meet. Similar to the options available for student transactions. I see that there PA and TX asked for something similar, where they asked for an option on the add transaction date on the add of a meet.

Mass Activate / Inactive Security Groups
We inactivate security groups during the time frame after rolling the year and the start of school so that the school personnel can add scheduling information without all the teacher "eyes" viewing their progress. If we could select groups to mass activate and inactive, it would be a huge time saver.

Fee Management added to Skylert
We would like to see Fee Management added to the Skylert module in order to send out reminder notifications for families with outstanding enrollment fees much like the Food Service alerts work.

Critical Alert Pop Up
Create the ability to turn off the critical alert pop up on student profile for specific users. For example, if admins want the alert turned off so they don't get the pop up every time they pull up a student with a critical alert. Without affecting it for all other users.

Student Locator Icon access in Educator Access Plus
The student locator icon is not available when teachers are in Educator Access Plus taking attendance in their class. If a student is not in the classroom but not absent, they have to go out to the dashboard to access it (Because they have security to do so). It would great if they could click on the student locator pin on the bar at the top while in their gradebooks.
