2nd Family Conference Scheduling
Teaching staff is requesting that ONLY 1ST Family/Guardians be allowed to schedule conferences. Currently every guardian attached to the student has the ability to schedule. This creates multiple teacher conferences for the same child and unfortunately the parents that can't get along twist their meeting information and use it against the other effectively putting the child and teacher in the middle. It also takes a conference slot from availablity and forces the teacher to have virtually the same meeting twice.

Treatment Tab
We would like to request a Treatments tab in the Health area. Our nurses would like it to have the same functions as the Medication tab so that treatments can be entered and scheduled and be able to be reported on. The example given was a student that has seizures. The nurse has a daily treatment with this student that cannot be scheduled.

Email Guardians Button
Please add a button with exact functionality as "Email Teachers" only to "Email Guardians". Right now there's no way to email all the guardians in a family or to choose from amongst available guardians. User has to click the link write an email; click the link write another email etc.. Other possibility is to cc the other parent--but this requires switching back and forth through windows plus a copy and paste and errors are possible. If the attached screen had an Email Guardians button it would be so helpful!

Verification Status Report Needs Date Range Option
Greetings. We use the Returning Student Registration option via Family Access to register returning to district students as well as returning next year students. So essentially it's always open. Unlike NSOE there's no notification to our staff unless Pseudo Changes occur. I've shown them how to check the Verification Status screen and how to run this report. Problem is if you want to check a time frame or perhaps schedule this weekly to see if any parents completed this process (let's even assume with no changes so this would be your only option of even knowing) you always get the…

STAAR EOC Performance Level I needed on STAAR EOC
In order to track which students have taken an exam and failed we need to be able to see Level I performance on a required EOC exam not just Level II and III.
Standards change depending on whether a student is testing for the first time or repeating an exam already failed.12 votes -
Add School Psych to list of Student Contacts
When setting up nightly email notifications it would be helpful to notify the school psychologist assigned to a student about special education evaluations since they are the ones that complete the evaluations. These people are not always service providers so they don't fall into that available category so I would like to see "school psychologist" added as a category under "Student Contacts".
This enhancement would keep school psychologists notified about upcoming evaluations and those that are past due.23 votes -
add an optional fee to a course
We currently can add a required fee to a course such as a fee for all students in choir. We can also add an OPTIONAL fee to an entire school population. We need to have the ability to add an OPTIONAL fee to a course. This would allow us to set up a fee for a garment bag to students in choir. Nice to have but not required. OR a choir dress if last year's does not fit anymore.

Course Type Codes with More Than 3 Characters
We need to be able to create Course Types with more than 3 characters. Being limited to 3 characters hinders our users to utilize/create codes that contain more than 4 or more characters. The downfall we are running into is that when a transcript is printed courses that have 4 or more course types attached does not print all the codes associated.
This will allow our registrars to print transcripts with accurate data displayed.7 votes -
Student Grading Notifications
We recently started using Student Access Grading Notifications and informed our students how to set them up. We would like to know how many students are actually using this feature but there isn't a way for us to see that. We would like to see a view added to the Student Access Users Screen similar to what is seen in the Family Access Users Screen titled "Email Notification Alerts." This would give us a quick glance of who has and who hasn't signed up for email grading notifications.

Custom report cards element cloning
This applies to CTE but could also have implementations in K-12.
While it is possible to clone Standards Based Custom Report Cards and change the school year (Being able to do this automatically as part of the cloning processes at the end of the year would be great) if you are using an object in the report to limit the results that you see on the report you are bound to having to select those each year.

Parent needs to see all time slots that were avail
When a parent is trying to view all available conference time slots and a teacher is completely booked it only allows the parent to view the time slots taken for that specific course and section. We want the parent to see all time slots that were at one point available but are now closed. The parent in this example thought we only gave them 8 choices when in reality there were 30 available spots.

Auto Email Trigger/studen locator
The student check in at the nurse needs to trigger the automated emails to the teachers on the student schedule. Teachers usually do not even have access to the student management piece of Skyward which then also makes us give them access to that module so they can see the student locator to see if a student is in the nurse's office. The systems needs to include the auto emails for the nurse module and the student locator needs to be programmed in to be included in Educator Access. POS improvement
It seems to be when an incorrect number is entered and it takes you to the selection screen. The default is the first person in the alphabet and if you accidentally choose select instead of back the purchase is charged to the default person. It would seem to me that a better option than that would be when an incorrect # is entered you would get a message on the screen that lets you know that the # is incorrect. Limit the screen to only so many records
Right now in Office Visits it is displaying all years including historical visits on one page. For those students who see the nurse 3 times a day it takes forever to load the page.
By limiting the number of viewable records on one screen and then allowing the user to page to the next 'x' number of records it would allow the pages to load quicker.22 votes -
Build table of CIDORs
Currently the field for Campus ID of Residence is a free form text field. It would be beneficial to have a table created so that valid codes could be chosen from a drop down list.
Negative impact would be entry of CIDOR that is out of designated boundaries higher possibility of data entry errors and more time consuming data entry on every entry.

Add LEP Y/N Option to Student Profile Tab
I cannot count how many different reports I run using Data Mining or exports of data that need to go to third parties reports for grants administrative reports and reports for funding associated to students who are ELL. Skyward allows us to search for LEP Served but doesn't have a simple LEP (Y/N) field as it does for Special Education. Frankly I'm shocked this request hasn't come across a long time ago. Custom Form View on Family Access Read Only
It would be very helpful if we could make Custom Forms view-able to parents on Family Access. We have a Behavioral Standards custom form that is completed by several teachers. We would like parents to be able to view the form on Family Access instead of printing them all out and sending them home. Report Cards are available to our parents in the Portfolio tab and we would love to see the option to add Custom Forms there as well.

Add Counselor Field to Customizable Options
Recently Skyward provided a new field under Entity Info to allow districts (schools) to track Counselors if they differ from Advisors. This is a great option and Skyward did diligence to add it as a mass update option under Student Mass Change. Our staff would like to see this go one step further by adding the field as an option to updating a user's custom list of fields that display under the Extra Information option within Student Profile. When you click on the Customize link Advisor can be added however Counselor is not yet available. Screen shots attached. Thank you!

Entering events for specific studnts
We would like to have the option of selecting individual students or ranges of students when entering an event. Right now when entering an event the default is for the event to be applied to all students.
With standards based grading the teacher is often grading only one student or small groups of students. This would allow the flexibility for teachers to only enter the events for the students who were assessed.57 votes -
Application of trend grading to subjects
We have set up subjects within each course that each have multiple skills. We would like for the subject grade to be a trend of all events added within that subject. Right now it is set up so that each skill gets a trend rating and if we choose to grade the subject it is an average of each of the skill ratings.
This would allow teachers to report trend ratings by skill or by skill grouping and all events entered would have an equal weight. The power law calculation would not need to change it would just be applied…58 votes
