Allow parents to customize their food service low balance notifications
Parents should have the ability to customize food service low balance alerts in Family access.
Currently this is controlled by checking a box to allow guardians to subscribe to food service low balance notifications in District User Settings, and then entering an amount for the low balance. We would instead like this low balance amount to be moved to Family access, so that when a parent checks the box to subscribe to the low balance notifications, they can also choose a custom amount for the low balance.36 votes -
PEIMS - Special Programs closed at end of year and opened for new year (Rollover Process)
I am currently new to this position and I have seen lots of PEIMS miscoding under special programs/AT RISK/SPED, etc. Since we report every year, I would hate to clean up historical data. Is there a way we can code these programs/fields on a year to year basis? I would love to see the ability to mass end all programs and mass open for new year during the end of year/rollover process.

Indiana-Graduation Requirements
Indiana's honors diplomas require that the student's have a "C-" or better in their requirement areas. It would be extremely helpful if the graduation requirements could be setup to filter out classes marked with a "D" or below. Currently we have to monitor this by hand, which defeats the whole purpose of having the electronic graduation requirements for these students. In addition, it makes the process confusing for the students because it is counting the class when they view their graduation requirements, but then we are telling them it technically does not count because they earned a "D" or below.

In Family Access and Student Access separate transcripts from the portfolio area, like report cards are separate.
We would like to use the portfolio area for registration and legal documents. But we do not always want these items displayed in family access and/or student access. But we cannot use the portfolio in this manner because this is the only area custom transcripts display. We can allow report cards to display separately, even though they are technically in the portfolio. Or another option would be to allow us to assign a type to the documents in the portfolio and then have a set up area in family access that lets us designate which types to display.

Future withdraw
It would be most helpful if we could enter a future withdraw date for a student, make all of the selections/choices that are presented (like current/next year status changes, schedule drops, etc.), then have a process trigger the withdraw in the evening of the withdraw date.
Currently, we cannot properly complete a future withdraw because there are handy options that are available during the withdraw process.

Ability to import Sports Physical field
We were able to import in a list of students who had physicals but we had to go into each record manually and click the Sports Physical box. This field was not available for import through Skybuild. Please add this field so that it can be imported or at the very least a utility that can mass update via a processing list.

Texas AAR date fields required--option for mass update
In Texas, we are required to include the following date information on our transcripts and through TREX. Speech Requirement met, CPR training, and Peace Officer Interaction training. Only the Speech Requirement date has a mass update capability. Distinguishing "missing" from "pending" grades
In Skyward, if a teacher enters an assignment but does not instantly post the grade (given that the due date has been entered accurately), the student/parent dashboard lists the assignment at the top of the page as "missing." However, if I enter an assignment and am in the process of grading it, I need Skyward NOT to communicate incorrect things to parents/students. Please change that. There is a spot for me to mark a grade as "missing" as I enter grades for students who failed to submit a particular assignment. This must be distinguishable from a pending grade for which…

Add Student Schedule to the Attendance Tab Page
When you go to a student's portfolio Attendance tab and click Add to take attendance for a student it would be extremely helpful to have the student's schedule appear at the bottom of this window/page and/or have the course descriptions under each period. (For example O1 - English 9) Without the course names on the Attendance Tab page users need to open a new window pull up the student's schedule and take attendance with both pages side-by-side. Health Conditions to Flow to Critical Alert
We would like the option to have Health Condition flow to the Critical Alert area in Student Profile however this option needs to be at the nurse's discretion so a button to select Show in Critical Alert would be the preference.

Option to Run Scheduled Tasks Only on School Days
Our attendance office runs various reports and tasks but only on school days. Please consider an option of being able to run scheduled tasks only on days that are scheduled days of school. When these tasks run on weekdays that do not have school they create unnecessary reports and in the case of automatically marking students absent like we do in Positive Attendance she needs to remove those absences so parents don't get phone calls for absences on days we don't have school. Positive Attendance Enhancements
Just started using PA in our district for some little things and have been thinking of ways to make it better.
Have teachers be able to see a student's PA check in location in their grade book for their class period(s). This would be useful for cases where a student is absent from class it would be good to know if the student went to an approved location for that teachers class or not.

Allow Import of Wanding Messages in Food Service.
It would be nice to either tag a health condition as a wanding message or have the ability to import wanding messages into the system via Skybuild imports. This would eliminate the possibility of accidentally serving a student that has a health related allergy because it wasnt inputted as a wanding message.

Email Progress Reports
In the standards gradebook teachers do not have an option to Select Different Classes when using the Email Detailed Progress Reports under reports. Teachers have to go through the process over and over for every class they teach. However in the secondary gradebook teachers do have the option to Select Different Classes. They can go through the process once and email all parents from all classes. I would like for you to consider adding that option to the Standards gradebook to save teachers time.

Schedule to Inactivate a Security User & Staff
Our District would find it very helpful if we had the ability to schedule a date to Inactivate a Secured User and in addition the ability to add a date for making a staff member inactive. We often find a staff member is leaving the District but are given directions for specific dates to inactivate them as staff and as a secured user in both Skyward Student and Finance. It would be very helpful if a date to inactivate could be added within the secured user and staff areas of both Skyward Student and Finance.

Automated Email for each type of office visits - Attendance, Discipline, Guidance
We have separate offices/staff for guidance, attendance and discipline. We would like separate emails that are triggered when students use the Student Check-In.
Also, we need Discipline Officer added to the Student Contacts for Office Visits.

On line Registration - Completion Status
Our district nurses would like to know if there is a way to flag the On-Line Registration for when guardians complete the process but then actually go back in and make additional changes - especially to health records but this would be helpful as well for all staff so that they are aware that additional changes have been made. Or is it possible once the on-line registration is successfully completed guardians are then locked out or have a view only access to the on-line registration information with a not stating Your On-Line Registration has been completed.
