1. Add an additional code

   If a student is late more than 20 minutes our district marks the student as absent. It would be so helpful if the tardy kiosk could be set up so that an additional code could be added in with set times each period to mark the student absent instead of tardy.
   This enhancement would save time for attendance secretaries who now have to run reports and then change the students tardy to an absence.

2. Creating Groups in Gradebook

   Our district has a need to create groups in the gradebook that can be changed throughout the year. It would be beneficial to us if when a student is marked "No Count" for an assignment it would not show in student or family access. Currently the only way to group students locks them there all year. That is not the case for us.

3. Printing Student Custom Forms in Student/Reports

   Under student/reports/custom forms when adding a new template the "custom form selection" box has all the old forms that are inactive. Can this be fixed to view by the current year instead of scrolling all the way thru the list? Yes some of the forms can be printed thru data mining but it's not the actual form as we would need to add to the student cumulative folder

   1. If the custom form is inactive then it should not be an option to select on the template.

   2. Add the year drop down option as in other templates so we can only view the year we want to select.

4. Display Day 1/Day 2 schedule on calendar

   Goal:

   a) Display Day 1/Day 2/exceptions designations on a calendar for educators students and families.

   b) Allow exception days to be locked and exempted from recalculation of the Day1/Day2 rotation.

   c) Provide ability to designate a day as something other than Day1 or Day2 but still have it count as an instructional day

   Negative impact:

   a) Examples: Administrator wants to set up meeting with teacher who has prep only on Day1; parent wants to arrange rides for student who has off campus pass for a class that meets on Day2; teacher trying to set up a guest speaker for class that meets on Day1; parent wants to set up doctor appointment for student but tries to avoid missing math class. We have many examples where people need to know whether specific future days are Day1/Day2. While it is possible to sit down with a calendar and count out every other day exception days throw off the rotation and it is tedious for all parties to have to do this every time. And parents may not be aware that an assembly scheduled one day next month is an excpetion day for example so their scheduling may not be accuarate.

   b) Day1/Day2 schedule is set for the year including exception days (inservice assembly etc.) that throw off the rotation. So all is good now...until we have a snow day or an assembly or something that requires the Day1/Day2 schedule to be reset. When the reset is done and the system recalculates the alternating Day1/Day2 all the exception days are overriden. But our inservice days that were already sety as exceptions are not impacted by the snowday so have to be re-entered and subsequent rotation days reset every time the schedule changes. Please allow the exception days to be locked so the recalculation of alternating Day1/Day2 designations skips the days that have already been locked.

   c) While some exemption days are not instructional days (ex. inservice) we occasionally run alternate schedules on school days. At this time marking a Day0 or X causes the day to not be counted as an instructional day and we would like another option for instructional days that don't follow our regular schedule pattern.

   a) Skwyard already has all the pieces - the Day1/Day2/exceptions schedule already exists. The calendar already exists. The FA/SA ability to display or hide different calendars already exists. It seems like it should require minimal programming to add an existing schedule to an existing calendar.

   Educators do not have a calendar view like what appears on the SA/FA display so it may not be quite the same request. But since Skyward already contains all the necessary pieces it would be nice to see those pieces assembled in a way that would address this need.

   b) I have no idea what this entails but am relaying the emphatic requests of the individuals in my district who handle the upkeep of the calendar. It is inefficient and tedious to have to reset the same exemption dates every time something happens to adjust the Day1/Day2 rotation and leads to mistakes because of having to repeat the same process over and over again. Ability to set certain days as locked would remove all of those issues.

5. Display Idaho State ID's in Family/Student Access

   Would it be possible to have the option to display Idaho state EDUIDs in Family/Guardian Access? We have a request from counselors that students applying for certain things need their state ID's.

6. Do not require all forms to be edited on a clone

   Many times when doing a review/revise only one or two areas of an IEP need to be adjusted - but as a result of cloning all forms need to be edited - this causes a lot of extra clicking in order to be able to print the entire review/revise IEP when only one page of the entire document may be updated

7. Lunch Calendar characters

   Currently we want to move to using the Lunch menu in Skyward but cannot because the calendar view does not support enough characters for us display the entire lunch so it can be viewed with clicking on it and printed
   Add more characters to the lunch calendar in the web access for Parents to view the menu. Make the menu printable so parents can view the lunches for the entire month.

8. Addition of Fields for Student Custom form

   We need to be able to include the following Student information on a student custom form - Home language code home language description and advisor name (typically associated with the entity).
   When setting up a student custom form we should be able to select these fields to be included on the custom form. We would expect the advisor name to be the one for the default entity.

9. All Health Conditions Report

   We have a concern regarding the All Health Condition Report. We need a document that we can quickly generate to send with EMS personnel when a student is being transported to the hospital. The All Health Conditions report would work if there was guardian/parent information that would also be an option to report. Our form must contain Student Info Guardian/Parent Info Health Conditions Medications.
   By adding an option to report guardian/parent information on the All Health Conditions Report our issue would be resolved. A data mining report only can be printed in an excel format because of the amount of fields that we must report. This is not an acceptable document to send with EMS personnel.

10. option in gradebook to mark unscored as INCmissing

    As schools change their grading policies to eliminate the giving of zeros it makes sense to have an option to "mark all un-scored as missing and incomplete". This would be an additional button leaving the "mark un-scored as 0 and missing" or a way to change the function of that button.
    This option would be in response to latest educational practice which says zeros are unduly punitive and don't inspire students to follow up and do the work. An incomplete is no grade so if the student wants a grade they have to do something.
    I believe you could have a clone of the "mark un-scored.." button which scans for un-scored but instead of placing a zero it would place an I.

11. Font Size on District Report Cards

    We have received a request from the Post Office asking for us to increase the size of the font on the address on District Report Cards. We opened a service ticket but were told that the font size could not be changed.
    We are requesting to have the ability to increase the size of the font.

12. Additional ranges in Attendance Mass Change Utils

    Would like to be able to add more than one day's attendance for a class or activity. At this time we can do one day at a time using Mass add for Single Day. Also we can only add attendance for a Class/Activity/Field Trip for one day. Going in one by one per student is very time consuming. If we could get a box for absence range...or by certain day of week that could be very helpful. EX: We have students that may leave our building during a certain period for 8 weeks and then return to finish the day. We have students who have preset doctor appointments on certain days and times we could add. In addition we have students in certain classes that we prefill attendance for certain periods. Right now we have to go into each screen to get the range to add. See the attachment with screen prints.

    It would be helpful if either of the screens could be enhanced to add the same options available under student profile attendance. These include a range of periods a range of dates and a comment field for a range of students by Class Activity or Field Trip or by processing list. Also would like to be able to add codes to without wiping out or copying other codes already in the system by having a check box to overwrite existing data which when left unchecked does not overwrite existing data.

13. Get rid of the Complete this step button

    During annual registration there is a button that requires them to click complete before they click next. It would be best if they got rid of the next and assumed complete if next is clicked.
    Many users miss the button and cannot complete this form and need to be assisted.
    If the complete button disapeared to the next button was labeled "mark complete and continue" then functionality on the backend would be similar.

16. Need More Characters!

    We submitted this last year but really need this addressed. Currently our medication dosage unit codes only allow for 5 characters. We enter the dose unit of medications and have run into this more than once that if a dose is in the 10000s we are unable to qualify WHAT the measurement is. For example: 10000mg 10000units etc. This is a safety concern because we need to be able to denote WHAT the measurement is for that medication. I have attached a screen shot. 17. Schedule Task with Preview

    For years I have had the Mass Delete Grades By Grade Bucket run as a 2 part Scheduled Task. The tasks that I had saved were no longer working so I created new templates to run the utility. However now from my Print Queue when I select the Task button "Schedule This" is not available to select. After submitting a Skyward service call I am told: "We recently changed an option to be able to schedule a process that has a preview. Any utility that has a preview at the beginning is no longer able to be scheduled. I apologize if this is an inconvenience but I suggest submitting an RFE if this is something you want to add back in as an option."

    I do not know why they took this ability away but I believe that we should be able to schedule any utility to run as a task if it needed for the completion of tasks without having to manually complete the same thing daily. This was used by our district with respect to eligibility reporting to insure that grades in grade buckets were removed before the auto posting of the athletic grade bucket ran daily.

    The ability to schedule tasks for any utilities that have a preview should be restored in the programming. I do not know why reasoning was applied to remove the ability to schedule these types of tasks. I never had any issue with running the 2 part scheduled task in the many years it ran for our district.

18. Entity INFO now has COUNSELOR needed in Auto email

    Since the COUNSELOR field is now available in entity Info this needs to be an option to select when in automatic email setup area. See attached screen shot of the view of Entity Info (with Counselor now has an option) and of Code Selection in Automatic Emails where Counselor is not available. When will this be added? It is not fair to give the Counselor field in one area but not make it available in others areas within Skyward
    Any Event/Trigger that offered Advisor please add Counselor field as an option

19. No Show Count or Excluded Assignments

    It would be beneficial for our district to enable a feature that would disable visibility in Family Access for specific students for specific assignments. Or the capability to select students that a specific assignment applies to within a classroom. There are some students that may need excluded from specific assignments and we would like those to not show in Family or Student Access.

20. Custom Forms Need to Print Confidential Numbers

    When you print a custom form that pulls family phone numbers if they are flagged as confidential they print the word confidential. There needs to be added to options for editing Skyward Fields for Custom Forms like Data Mining the field for Phone should have a flag (check box) item to say 'Print Confidential Numbers.'
