rich content editor
The message center needs a huge improvement. Think about including rich text editor like MS Outlook or perhaps like MailChimp or MailerLite. Think about drag and drop editor, coding, and insert pictures instead of limiting to attach only. The current toolbar editor has no flexibility to create a nice layout for our parents and students when sending out messages to them.

Employee Profile in the credit section. It would be nice to see a dollar amount for tuition reimbursement so we can data mine and track.
A extra field to add the tuition reimbursement amount to track and monitor if the employee owes us back if they leave and other uses.

Attachment to emailed PO's
When attaching documents to a requisition, there is an option to check a box that says "send attachment with PO". It would be helpful if the default to this was "yes" - with the box checked. Staff do not realize they should check that box in order to include the attachment. 95% of the time we would include the attachment with the emailed PO. This would avoid us having to go into each requisition that has an attachment. menu path WF/PU/MR/RE/AT - when you click add file or link.

Fix Tab Order
It would be helpful to have the tabs hit both the account Amount and the Account Percentage field while in the AP invoice entry screen. Currently it will tab correctly on the first line and then it will skip to the Account Percent for following lines, which the Account Amount is the more used filed. See attached

Epayable payment type
There needs to be a check type for EPayables that processes like a check without printing the check. Currently in SMS our only options are to use the check type "wire" or "manual" which causes the cash to hit on the date that the invoice is posted instead of when the payment is made. This creates the need for journal entries to post the cash in the month it was actually spent. With the increasing need to be paperless, this is essential to properly process payment without having to print a check.

Reports to Excel
Excel is basically a data base management tool, with some cool features to allow making forms. The Excel download would be much more useful if it was not based on the paper report and instead just downloaded the requested data.
For example, on a detailed operating system report, Column A lists the account number with several pieces of data across the columns showing budgets, balances, etc. It would be more useful to have the account number listed on all lines and no-subtotals. Then Excel can be used as it is designed to allow data manipulation through Pivot Tables or other…

Life Long Counter - Sub Tracking
Our district would like to offer an incentive every 45 days a sub works. This does not have to be consecutive. I can set this is up using the Life Long Counter section in Rate Tables, however, it only allows me so many "lines" to create the structure. As of now, I can only go up to 135 days. We've run reports from previous years and we've had subs that have worked up to 171 days in a school year. That being said, if we had just two more "lines" in the Life Long Counter, I could get this set…

The Rate Table is structured to put in the “Last Unit at Rate”, so you’ll just see the high number in Skyward.
Example (visual also attached):
0-44 $100
45 BONUS RATE
46-89 $125
90 BONUS RATE
91-134 $150
135 BONUS RATE
136-179 $175In the above example, you can see that I got to 179 days of subbing.
Does this work or is there additional set up not mentioned in the Product Idea that would need to be taken into consideration?

Allow leave balance in EA to be seen but no entering of leave requests
I would like employees to see how much Emergency Paid Sick Leave they have left, but NOT have access to enter that leave.
This might be useful for other types of leave too, i.e. only I can enter unpaid time off, but employees can not see that. Thank you!
3 votesThank you for submitting this idea! We suggest using options that exist in Time Off Setup Request Options.
Navigate to Product Setup > Employee Access > Time Off Setup > Request Options tab, then edit, then uncheck the box “Allow Time Off request in group 9”
Group 9 is a special code typically used for Time Off Requests like Emergency Sick Paid Leave.

ACH email to vendor needs to include invoice, description, and amount
When sending ACH emails, currently it is just a generic "you are getting a deposit on this date". This does not help when sending multiple ACHs out with multiple invoices included to the vendor. The vendor does not know where to apply the credit. It would be nice to have the email generate the invoice number, description, and amount that is entered for the check request. The email should show the same information that the check stub shows when you print a regular check.

This functionality already exists in SMS and is hard coded into the system.
The email that is sent to the vendor when an ACH payment is processed contains a breakdown of the invoice information:
1. Direct Deposit Amount
2. Date
3. Invoice #
4. Description
5. Invoice AmountThe above information is only sent in the email itself. There is no preview information in the email setup.
You can go to Product Setup>System Admin>Email History
From here you can find the email sent to the Vendor, expand it, and see the actual info sent to the vendor.Thank you!

W-4 Step order
Change the screen for entering the 2020 W-4 information so the steps are shown in order. It currently shows step 3, 4a, 4b, nonresident, then step 2. When reviewing W-4 elections, a person looks from the top of the form to the bottom and fields for entering should be in the same order as the W-4 form.

Ability to view Account Number from Entry and Approval Screen
In the invoices entry, requisition entry, purchase order entry, invoice approval, and requisition approval screens you should be able to see the expense accounts as part of the grid. This would allow you to check the account distribution without having to go into each individual invoice or requisition. Would speed up checking and make entry more consistent.

Add to PO printing config the ability to have "Blanket PO" printed on hard copy
If a PO is flagged as a "blanket po" to have that printed on the purchase order like it shows on the Req.

Navigate to Web Finance > Purchasing > Setup > Configuration > Purchase Order Printing Setup to define your PO Form Definition. There is a checkbox at the bottom of the page under “Additional Parameters” to “Print Notes with POs and Requisitions”. The Print Notes with PO’s and Requisitions will print any attached notes with it. So we recommend putting in an actual note that says Blanket PO.
Next, navigate to Web Finance > Purchasing > Set Up > Configuration > Requisition Entry Setup Options > Requisition Entry Options to define your Requisition Entry Options.
Finally, verify in System Admin > Financial Management > Financial Management Configuration that you have “Use Print Engine Purchase Orders” checked.
This set up will allow you to print “Blanket PO” on a Purchase Order.

1099-NEC SHOULD BE STATE SPECIFIC
I have two ideas.. one is PA specific.. When processing the 1099 and creating the files for uploading.. for PA you need to check the box in the area where it says DON'T CHECK THIS BOX UNLESS TOLD TO DO SO.. well I spent a DAY not realizing that for PA upload this box MUST BE CHECKED.. screen should indicate clearIy which states need to have this box checked and 2) I happen to only have 1099s for PA and occasionally NJ, but that is another issue to look at: I bet other SKYWARD users also

Mass Custom Forms
It would be very helpful to be able to mass write custom forms to multiple students or to automatically create a custom form in each student's profile every time mass emails/messages are sent. The custom form settings could be in the settings for the message/email as well.

Enhance the DOE Staff Survey 2 and 3 Build for the Salary Schedule Pay Type Extract Method
We have employees on a Salary Matrix and have employees that we enter their salary (because of a Range not associated with a Salary Matrix in Skyward). In the DOE Staff Survey 2 and 3 Build, I continue getting over 50 employees with the error of "Grandfathered Sal Sched Pay Ind invalid" for the Staff Payroll Information, because I chose using "Skyward Pay Lane State Code". Need a way to accommodate the "Enter Salary Amount" when the Extract is running to put a crosswalk.

At this time, we are not considering it for development. However, this idea will remain open for ongoing review and voting by other districts to show support of this idea.

vendor browse
When you select a vendor to view in PAC that is inactive, It automatically takes you to the web. Apparently it is because you cannot inactivate a vendor in PAC, so if you are wanting to make any changes to the vendor profile (like reactivating) it has be be done in web. If I am trying to view it, I should be able to see it in PAC. I can understand if I hit the edit button that it would go to the web, but I am only selecting the vendor in the display screen. This is very time consuming.…

Vendor different type(s)
Would like a box to check or something to determine which vendors are order from and which are contractors doing work on school grounds that do not need a purchase order.
