Text Messaging Authentication
Staff are upset about installing an authenticator app on their personal devices. Could text messaging be set up as an option?

At this time text messaging is not being considered for SMS due to security concerns with text message authentication and spoofing.
We have found the Authenticator apps are the more secure way to handle MFA logins.

Add Matching Custom Forms Tab Option to Employee Access
The Custom Forms tab that was once a mess under Student Management continues to plague the Employee area of the Finance System. We have SO MANY different forms that the Custom Forms tab under Employee Profile is just a long disorganized list of scrolling and truncated names. Because we clone forms on an annual basis, this makes things messier because we then have to hover over them to make sure you're selecting the correct one. The staff dealing with these forms are too busy to find the needle in the haystack so to speak, so the format needs to match…

This option does currently exist within the Business Suite.
The option can be located through Web Human Resources > Employee > Setup > Configurations > Employee Configurations.
You can then select Custom Forms and there will be the option "Display Custom Forms in Employee Profile as:" Select the option "A browse" and save.
You will then see the Active/Inactive tabs as you are expecting.

Summer payroll payouts
Can we get access to a test system to run our summer payroll for July and August in June since we have to submit all earnings for teachers to TRS by the end of June instead of having to run these two months payrolls in June and then canceling them out just to run them again the correct months.

It sounds like you are looking for access to a test database with a copy of your data?
This would be a hardware call in this case rather than a product idea. You can submit those requests through the ? button in Web > Customer Access > and then submit the service call to our Customer Success team to help point you in the right direction!

Expand Attachments function to show more than 20 records
Please do this ASAP!! We are trying to go paperless and are scanning old documents into the Attachments area of the Employee Profile but you are only allowed to view 20 records at a time. This way, if there are more than 20 documents, if you try to sort by title or date, only page 1 sorts and the items on page 2 don't sort with it so you would have to go in and sort page by page to find things. Almost every other field in Skyward allows you to expand what shows on a page up to 2000…

It would be great if you could print Copy A that is submitted to the IRS for 1099's, if there is an issue efile you can submit via mail
It would be great if Copy A of 1099s can be printed from skyward. If there is an issue wit e-file with the IRS there is an option to print instead of handwrite all 1099's

Because Copy A is only valid when printed on specialized paper forms obtained directly through the IRS, it is in the best interest of our users to not offer that particular printing option since submitting the forms on the wrong paper could result in penalties from the IRS.

Super User/ Administrator
A super user or administrator should be able to access, delete, or modify anything that is needed no matter what. There are several instances where administrators need to login under the individual user to make changes and this should not need to be done.
1 voteSkyward recommends using proper segregation of duties for the best internal controls with one super user per database. This ensures that multiple people do not have too much unauthorized access. Please check with your auditor to review best practices for internal controls.

Fixed Asset Addition report
On the additions report, the date Skyward uses is the Record date. This date should be the Date in Service record found on the Depreciation tab.

We have evaluated the request. Our biggest consideration is that not everyone uses depreciation, so there is not always going to be a Date in Service to use. Changing the report could have a negative impact on many of Skyward users.

export to excel
When reports can be converted from a PDF to an excel format, the data should align correctly with their column heading. An example of this would be the Requisition/PO Listing WF/PU/RP. Thanks

We’ve looked into this request and are unable to consider it at this time.
Reports that have stacked headers and stacked detail lines do not drop to excel gracefully. One option that is used by some users is filtering the browse and dumping those results to excel.
This product idea will remain open.

FASTTRACK - DATA MINING - YEARS OF EXPERIENCE FIELD
Would like to be able to select the Years of Experience from the Available Fields on the Field Selection screen in the FastTrack Applicant Processing DataMining.
When viewing Applications from the Position screen, one of the views is Years Of Experience. I would like to be able to pull that information in FastTrack Applicant Processing DataMining.

The Non-Profile Years of Experience located at the bottom of the Config are not included in Data Mining, and this is specifically called out in the Config, see second screenshot.

Enhance the DOE Staff Survey 2 and 3 Build for the Salary Schedule Pay Type Extract Method
We have employees on a Salary Matrix and have employees that we enter their salary (because of a Range not associated with a Salary Matrix in Skyward). In the DOE Staff Survey 2 and 3 Build, I continue getting over 50 employees with the error of "Grandfathered Sal Sched Pay Ind invalid" for the Staff Payroll Information, because I chose using "Skyward Pay Lane State Code". Need a way to accommodate the "Enter Salary Amount" when the Extract is running to put a crosswalk.

We met with our Florida State Reporting Department to review State Compliance regulations.
At this time, we are not considering it for development. However, this idea will remain open for ongoing review and voting by other districts to show support of this idea.

Re-print damaged checks without having to update accounting
After printing paper checks but prior to Accounting update, include a question if all checks printed correctly. If the answer is yes, the accounting update proceeds as normal. If the answer is no, populate the list of checks that were printed with a checkbox next to each one. Checks that did not print properly would have the box(es) marked, along with a new print range for blank checks. This process repeats itself until all checks print properly.

Skyward does allow the reprint of checks prior to the Update option.
It is our recommended best practice for all districts to review the checks to confirm they have printed correctly prior to running the update.
During the update process Skyward provides a “triple confirmation”. When updating: you have to click Update, which brings you to the Update screen, then you have to click Update again, and then you receive a final window prompt to confirm you want to update.
The ability to choose to print only certain pages exist through standard printer options.

Please put the view option back on the position tab for assignments!!
As a payroll specialist I was consistently/constantly using the Position View button to check information and to be able to answer questions for employees such as is there an add on to the pay base, what is the hourly rate, were the dates correct that were entered in Employee Management etc. The view tab was removed as it was considered an "enhancement" as it was moving all EM parts to the web but this is terrible for anyone in payroll. Please please please put it back until all of payroll is moved to the Web.

We definitely could have gotten in front of this better that these buttons were going to be taken away and we will make sure next time we decide to take any buttons away for data integrity and efficiency, we will make sure we inform our valued customers way ahead of time.
The reason we committed to this enhancement is because Employee Management is no longer supported in PaC. The system did not handle the new salary calculation method and new scenarios correctly such as additional pay codes and add-ons, which ultimately could have shown inaccurate data for employees.
There are many efficiencies to using the web. Example: currently if you are running payroll or running a report and want to look at assignment information in PaC you would have to back all the way out of what you were doing to go to…

PR1500
There seems to be a glitch in the new Texas reporting PR1500. The Bilingual/ESL/Special Education field is a required field. The system will not allow you to proceed without choosing one or the other.
2 votesAfter the 6/1 submission in a couple weeks, the PR1500 will no longer be a thing. The state is merging the collection of that sort of data right in with PEIMS Sub 1, so there’ll be no need for having anything related to PR1500 in the software.

Ability to adjust vendor name font size when printing checks
We need the ability to adjust font size for the vendor name printed for both A/P and Payroll checks. Our bank has indicated that increasing the font size would make the check more friendly to machine reading for increased security. This issue was raised by our bank as they reviewed our checks for a fraud prevention program.
2 votesThank you for submitting this idea. Nelco is the authorized partner of compatible paper forms for the Skyward software. All W-2 and 1099 forms, checks, and school forms are guaranteed 100% compatible. Any issues with the check layout will need to be handled by Nelco as Skyward is unable to alter the format in anyway.

Give employee an error if they try to submit a time sheet before their time off is approved
Currently an employee can submit their time sheet before their time off request has been approved. This causes the time sheet to error out when we are trying to import time sheets and we have to denie the time sheet and call the the supervisor or employee to get this fixed before we can continue with payroll.

This functionality already exists in Skyward. If an employee submits their time sheets from web, mobile, and reader when an unapproved time off request is out there for that week validation exists to prevent the user from submitting the time sheet.
There is also validation when the time sheet is being approved to catch any unapproved time off requests at that point.
Is the situation that the time off requests are being put in after the time sheet has been submitted/approved?

ACA employee category code mass process change request
When populating the employee categories for all employees, the field that indicates "Accepted Coverage" would be better as "Offered Coverage". The employee category codes include employees that are not eligible for benefits. Even if this field is indicated as "NO" it can be misconstrued that they were offered but did not accept when in fact they were not. The enrollment/waiver piece is under the 1095C screen so why would it be here too??? Does not make sense. Please re-visit this.

Michigan passed PMLA (Paid Medical Leave Act) effective 3/29/19
Need to be able to track non union employees who will accrue sick time. An eligible employee earns 1 hour of paid medical leave for every 35 hours they work. I wish it were that simple. As with any Act that is passed there are other stipulations that go along with this. An employee is not eligible for benefits under the PMLA if he/she averages fewer than 25 hrs per week in the immediately preceding calendar year or if he/she is employed for fewer than 25 weeks in a calendar year for a job scheduled for 25 weeks or fewer.
1 voteOur State Compliance Department assured this functionality already exists to allocate this time in Skyward SMS 2.0:
1. Customer should be able to create a new Time Off Code and have it Accrue if they are qualified.
2. Time Off Code will have to be created with a code of PMLA or something to that sort
3. Districts will have to keep track of individuals who work 35 or more hours per week to be eligible to accrue an hour of PMLA, -
Allow Supervisor to view Emergency Contact info in True Time > My Employees
Supervisors are unable to see Emergency Contact information for their employees. Please add this important piece of information to the True Time > My Employees > Employee Information screen.
