  1. Automatically print attachments when printing requisitions

    When printing a requisition, is there any way that the attachment could print with it? Or at least a pop up window asking if you wanted to print it?

  6. Inactive PO Contracts to not display on PO/Req screen

    With the addition of Vendor Contracts with Start/Stop dates, the Stop date should stop the contract from viewing when creating the Req/PO; i.e only Active Contracts display.

  8. REPORT COMMODITY CODE SORTED BY CONTRACT OR CONTRACT SORTED BY COMMODITY CODE.

    We need a report that shows Commodity Codes sorted by Contract or vise-versa. When you print a Commodity Code report, you have to individually subtract the ones used on Contract that need deleted from the total in order to see where you are at on your usage.

    You are able to delete the commodity codes through Web Financial Management > Purchasing > Product Setup > Codes > Commodity Codes.

    These codes cannot be tied to an active requisition when being deleted.

    If you are unable to delete these codes or the "Delete" button does not appear, you will likely need to look at security access.  At least level 3 security access is required to be able to edit or delete.  If you do need help assigning the correct security access, a service call to our customer success team would be a great place to start.

  10. transfer purchase order to new

    Bookkeepers sometimes change from one school/facility to another during the school year. A purchase order created by a bookkeeper in August, might be received by a new bookkeeper who now occupies that position in September. When the new bookkeeper receives the PO, the old bookkeeper gets the receiving email notification, which the old bookkeeper does not need. In HR there is the clone/replace utility. That utility needs an option to updated the "Entered by" field on purchase orders to the new bookkeeper.   11. Receiving Notification to A/P

    Requesting that an email notification be setup in Purchasing that will send a notification to Accounts Payable (email would be customizable) when items have been received. At this time the only notification goes to the Requestor IF the district is using centralized receiving so that Requestor knows the items have been received.

    The email should include a list of all the items that were received on the PO for that specific Receiving record.

  12. Receiving Option to Mark Completely Received

    Currently, the only reportable way for AP staff to know that an order is completely received is for them to go through each order and check for all items received, then they can manually mark it as completely received.

    In order for staff in AP to know when an order has been completely received, there should be a checkbox for the person checking in the order (that may have been received over multiple days/weeks) to check when the last item has been received and the PO is completely received.

    We are assuming you have separate employees doing the PO and receiving entry versus the invoice entry? If this is true, then the invoice entry staff do not know when the PO/receiving staff have fully received the items?


    Our suggestion is that whoever is entering in the receiving records should go out to the PO and change it to fully received when they have received all the items. Then when the AP employee adds the invoice in using that PO it comes in as fully received and the AP employee does not have to look at any of the receiving records.

  13. Requisition/Purchase Order comparison

    We need a report to compare the prior year's purchase order totals by group to the current year's requisition totals by by group. For example, you can see that 1st grade spent $1,200 this year and then you can see that they have requisitioned $1,300 for next year. This would greatly help to be able to compare the information for reasonableness from year to year. It would be ideal for the information to be available to the approvers in the requisition approval screen. Attached are excel versions of a report that I created

  14. Utility to mass assign approvers to PO groups

    A utility to mass assign approvers would be awesome. There is currently a utility to mass reassign approval groups to another person but no utility to mass add a new approver to a selection list of groups. Need the option to select the level and then set that same level of approval to all groups selected in a list.

  15. Create a Button that says "Returned For Corrections" in addition to the deny button

    For approving purchase orders, currently, the only options are to approve or deny. We would like the ability to select "Returned For Corrections" so the secretaries and principals don't get overwhelmed with constant denials.

    We recommend denial comments are very descriptive so secretaries and principles (or whomever is processing the denials) know what should be changed or if it can be submitted or if it is fully denied for other reason and cannot be resubmitted.

  16. Increase Size or Font of Check Numbers (especially in the "cents" position)

    Our district has experienced an issue several times where the bank is misreading the "5" and "6" specifically in the cents position. We learned from Skyward support that we are not able to change the size or font on our end because it is hard coded into the system. Therefore, we are requesting that the font be modified somehow to make sure that there would be no issue for a bank to determine the numbers on the check.

    We are currently working on several enhancements for Skyward users to customize and create their own AP Check and Payroll Checks. 


    This will be a Beta Option for some time while we continue to develop and test.

  17. Please consider an "Auto approval" option for E-commerce POs.

    Being that Ecommerce POs go through the approval process, please consider providing an option to "auto approve" these orders so that someone isn't relied on to "push" them thru to the vendor manually. Thank you

  18. Purcahse Order "DO NOT DUPLICATE" ability to be printed on purchase orders

    Have a box/space that can/will read DO NOT DUPLICATE PURCHASE ORDERS on printed purchase orders so vendor(s) do not duplicate orders. Several purchase orders duplicated by vendors

  19. Requisition detail per-line discount

    Currently, there is no way to add a discount percentage for a detail line. I have a quote from a vendor that shows a percentage discount per line, but there is no way to input that in the line item, the column "% Disc" just shows '0'. Per Skyward support, I have to manually figure the discount myself and add an additional line to subtract.

    Thank you for submitting this idea. We need more information to fully understand this request.

    In SMS 2.0 you are able to add a flat discount for a Vendor which gets applied to all line items for that vendor. The result of that discount is what you would see on the Requisition screen in the %Discount column and should be applied automatically.

    This is the first time we’ve heard of Vendors providing separate discounts depending on the item purchased. We would need to understand this use case more thoroughly and have more support from the Skyward user community prior to considering it for development.

    Would it be possible to change the notification of a denied requisition? I attached a copy of a denied requisition. It seems the denied part of the message does not stand out from the rest of the message. Could it be in italics, different color, bolded just something that makes the reason a requisition was denied stand out better?
