  1. Custom Form Lookup Warning

    It would be great if there was a warning when you try to modify/rename a Custom Field for a custom form. I forgot that the fielc on Custom Form does not update, so it appears orphaned.

  2. The Ability to Choose the Bank for Benefit and Deduction AP Claims Created During Payroll

    In Indiana, most of us are probably utilize the consolidated fund set up for our AP claims created during a payroll process due to the number of funds Indiana has. There needs to be a way to allow us to choose more than one bank account for all of these AP claims to be paid from. Currently all of ours are set up to be paid from our payroll bank. However, all of our FICA, Medicare, PERF, TRF, AUL, VALIC, Health Ins benefits are ACH'd from our AP bank. The only way to make our scenario work is to 1)…

    I really appreciate the simple updates for the current school year: being able to organize students in the list by first or last name is so helpful when I'm doing online grading with Moodle or Google classroom and the scores automatically go into their spreadsheets by first name. So that has been really helpful. Another thing I really appreciate that you've done this year is adding the "all absent" button. Being able to quickly select all students "absent," "tardy," or "present" saves a ton of time and really streamlines this process I need to do quickly at the beginning of…

  5. wellness screening fields

    It would be helpful to have the "employee type" field appear on the wellness screening reports. This way when there is a failed or incomplete response, we can filter by employee type and inform the correct supervisor that their employees did not complete/failed the responses.

    Is the idea that the browse would have a column which displays the employee type, like the building field as an example, and then you can click on that column to sort appropriately?

  6. Make sure there is a phone number listed in Family Access when family edits or changes info.

    Is there a way to prompt families when they remove their landline in Family Access? When a family edits or removed the number, they are not getting called for negative balances of Food Lunch Account because we pull from there. Many families do not have landlines so they take that number out but are not replacing it with anything else. A prompt to put their cell # there would be great. Thank you

  7. Substitute Tracking pulling into payroll by account number and corresponding payroll runs

    Our payroll system is setup with separate payroll run's for restricted fund accounting purposes. However, substitute tracking is not setup that way. It would be extremely helpful if there was a way for substitute tracking to be pulled into a specific payroll run or by account numbers. Currently the district is having to pull all of the substitute transactions into the largest payroll run, then manually delete that do not belong in that payroll run out of the system, process the payroll. Once that payroll run is complete, then the district has to manually re enter the deleted substitute transactions…

    Why is there only one option for 1099 type in SBAA: 1099NEC
    The drop down, as you can see from the attached, is only a blank space.
    We have several vendors that are not NEC types that our schools use.

  9. Florida Statute - Time Off Sick Leave Certification

    We have a FL statutory requirement that says all sick leave (either sick or personal) must be submitted and accompanied by a statement stating that the employee certifies they are sick or are using a personal day. We are currently satisfying this requirement via a paper form that is printed, signed, scanned, and attached to the submitted sick time off request - not ideal. I would like to request Skyward add an "I certify..." checkbox for sick/personal time off requests. The Statute is §1012.61(2)(B), FLORIDA STATUTES and states: "Any district school board employee shall, before claiming and receiving compensation for…

  10. Life Long Counter - Sub Tracking

    Our district would like to offer an incentive every 45 days a sub works. This does not have to be consecutive. I can set this is up using the Life Long Counter section in Rate Tables, however, it only allows me so many "lines" to create the structure. As of now, I can only go up to 135 days. We've run reports from previous years and we've had subs that have worked up to 171 days in a school year. That being said, if we had just two more "lines" in the Life Long Counter, I could get this set…

    The Rate Table is structured to put in the “Last Unit at Rate”, so you’ll just see the high number in Skyward.

    Example (visual also attached):
    0-44 $100
    45 BONUS RATE
    46-89 $125
    90 BONUS RATE
    91-134 $150
    135 BONUS RATE
    136-179 $175

    In the above example, you can see that I got to 179 days of subbing.

    Does this work or is there additional set up not mentioned in the Product Idea that would need to be taken into consideration?

  12. Add additional colums to the view.

    In using the Status Code view when looking at applications, the system will only allow you to view 10 columns. In addition, it will only allow you to dump into Excel 10 columns. Several of our applications have as many as 16 status codes assigned. We need either to see it in the view or at least be able to dump it to see the overall picture of the workflow processes on a grand scale.

  13. Add a date range selection to the Credit Card Transaction Board Report

    The format of the Credit Card Transaction Board Report is a much cleaner report to give to our Board, but I am not able to pull the report for just the transactions that need approval at the monthly board meeting. There needs to be a date range selection, import date range selection, or batch number selection.

  14. Add lockout warning to log in page

    Add a warning to the login page so employees know they will be locked out after 3 failed attempts. I get multiple requests to unlock accounts each day, because people don't know they will be locked out. They just keep trying over and over again. It would be nice if they were instructed to click the Forgot Password link.

  15. Snapshot of what a fund looked like based upon a specific date

    Our SBOA auditors have been asking us for a "snapshot" of our Federal Funds based upon a specific date of their choosing. This currently isn't possible because everything is like a living document in Skyward. So if we need to reproduce a data mining report from a prior date (say 8-31-19 for example) to verify something such as our reimbursement request for August expenditures will never be correct or the same as it was from 8-31-19 due to activity throughout the following months.     We’re looking for clarity on this idea: Is this idea requesting an update to the reporting capabilities or does it deal more with the fact that if you backdate something we don’t have a tracker field in Data Mining to indicate that the transaction was backdated?

  16. Data Mining Reports to Print Balances for More Than a 12 Month Span

    Currently all data mining reports allow you to ask it to print an unencumbered or unencumbered remaining balance. However, the remaining balance is only for the final year that you are asking the report to print for. So if you have a fund (which most of us do have funds that run more than 12 months) that runs July 1, 2018 and ends December 2019 (or later), your available balance will never be correct since your fund runs beyond the 12 month period. It will give you the available balance based upon January 2019 through December 2019 but won't include…

  17. Vendor Req, PO's, Inv, Checks button screen selection

    I regularly use the Req, PO's, Inv, Check button in Vendor Browse. Please allow us to clone and organize the columns as to what is most pertinent to the user. I would also like o see the po number used if the invoice was entered this way.

    We have the Payroll Import/Export and Generic Imports/Exports that should allow for you to import employee insurance deduction/benefit changes in Skyward. You do not need to be using Insurance Tracking in order to access this functionality. We suggest submitting a Service Call for assistance in getting started. Please have the format you are using available so the rep is get started with you right away.

  19. Wire Transfer Reference # Set Up

    When setting up Wire Transfer Reference # for new fiscal year - allow the district to edit the first four digits to a larger number. With the start of the 20-21 SY - our ACH & Wire Transfer number both begin in the 20xxxxxxx digits which will make it more difficult to recognize whether a voucher is an ACH payment or a Wire Transfer payment. We use Wire Transfer numbers for all of our p-card payments.
