Data Mining Reports - Employee Numbers by DATE
I need to be able to run a report showing the total number of active employees by a specific date or year. The date field is something that needs to be added to data mining. We need to report the number of employees for a specific date or year frequently.

Ability to add vertical line in Data Mining reports.
End users would appreciate the ability to include/add a vertical line at various points in our data mining reports to help the viewers more easily segregate data output, i.e. to provide a separator between various fiscal years, etc.

Allow for Data Mining of Profile Notes
Districts use Profile Note for many things based on a category type. It would be helpful if they could Data Mine for that information in Employee Profile by Category and/or Date, Protected or not.

Keep Data Mining report name/title when you save to excel.
I would like to suggest that the name that you call your data mining reports, should also appear when you download/save your report to excel. Every time you run your report and then go to save it to your computer, the file name is gibberish. It would be great if the report name auto-populated in the file name when you go to save it. Screenshot attached.

Adding Taxable Wages to Data Mining Filed Selection
Please add taxable wages for federal, state and local taxes as a field selection under checks. Since Taxable wages are used to report for EIT, State and W-2's, it would be helpful to be able to pull a report with these fields if there are discrepancies.

Finance Data Mining-Free Form Comment Field Needed
When formatting data mining reports to the correct layout for uploading to a third party, it is necessary to have a "Free Form Comment" field as a placeholder for data. This field is available on the Student side.

Datamine in FastTrack - include the notes section in options to select to include with the status code when pulling data.
When data mining in FastTrack, we would like to have the option to include the status code notes when pulling our report. Currently you can hover over or open each app individually which is very time consuming. Add the option to select when setting up the data mine parameters.

Add Position Control information to data mining fields
Because Position Control information could differ from the Assignment information, we would like to be able to add Position Control fields to either data mining, or run some type of other reporting option, to be able to review and compare the data fields between Position Control and Assignment.
We would need to be able to run this report for both Employee Management and for Salary Negotiations, including vacancies.

Implement wildcard search capability
Implement a "wildcard" search feature when using Filters in Data Mining and basically throughout the entire system. I'd like to be able to find any Student Fees records with a Billing Description that "contains" the word "child" - upper/lower/mixed case.

Data Mining Cleanup Utility
Can we add a utility to cleanup data mining reports in the Business Suite (i.e. Employee, Budget, etc.) The Student database has this utility, already, in Skyward Contact Access/Security/Setup/Utilities.

The option to print Employee Confidential Information in Vendor Data Mining should be optional
If you have an employee that is also a vendor, their confidential information is marked when looking at Vendor Profile/Browse. However, if you print the information in Data Mining then it is not marked confidential. Vendor Data Mining needs the check box like Employee Data Mining.

Add "Print Deposit Advices" field in Data Mining
The "Print Deposit Advices" field on the Direct Deposit tab is not available in HR Data Mining, only the fields in the browse below. Please consider adding this field to Data Mining so it can be used.

Pulling Active only positions in DM
Need the system to read behind the scenes if a person has terminated out of one job and started another in order for the one position the employee is currently active in is the only position that pulls through on a DM report. EXAMPLE: Employee started the year as custodian at Buck Lake Elem and terminated that assignment on 10/5/2020 and started a new position as a Building Maintenance Supervisor on 10/6/2020 through the end of the fiscal year. The only position that should pull through on a DM report of any kind is the Building Maintenance Supervisor position.

Snapshot of what a fund looked like based upon a specific date
Our SBOA auditors have been asking us for a "snapshot" of our Federal Funds based upon a specific date of their choosing. This currently isn't possible because everything is like a living document in Skyward. So if we need to reproduce a data mining report from a prior date (say 8-31-19 for example) to verify something such as our reimbursement request for August expenditures will never be correct or the same as it was from 8-31-19 due to activity throughout the following months. We should be able to print the same report we did from a year ago and get…

We’re looking for clarity on this idea: Is this idea requesting an update to the reporting capabilities or does it deal more with the fact that if you backdate something we don’t have a tracker field in Data Mining to indicate that the transaction was backdated?

Data Mining Reports to Print Balances for More Than a 12 Month Span
Currently all data mining reports allow you to ask it to print an unencumbered or unencumbered remaining balance. However, the remaining balance is only for the final year that you are asking the report to print for. So if you have a fund (which most of us do have funds that run more than 12 months) that runs July 1, 2018 and ends December 2019 (or later), your available balance will never be correct since your fund runs beyond the 12 month period. Rolling Monthly Report
The current "Ranges" option under the field parameters in data mining only allows the ability to give the total of the monthly range and display in one column. It would he helpful to expand this option so we can select a month range, but have the report give us individual monthly totals in separate columns. This would be different than the auto-generate since that is limited by the fiscal year. This enhancement would allow us to easily create a rolling monthly history report without having to add multiple fields because we could now define the monthly range for the report.

Would like to save parameter sets in data mining
Why is there no way to save specific parameters in the Web Data Mining? This makes running reports in WEB very inefficient.
2 votesBudgetary Data Mining under “Runtime Report Setup” offers the option to “Change setup for this run and save setup” which creates and saves separate reports with all the selected parameters. You can even run multiple reports at the same time.
If your not using Budgetary Data Mining, which please describe which Data Mining you are using so we can better understand this request.
