We would love to translate the detailed description for the grade mark legend on report cards. Currently we have to use the description to print on report cards because the detailed description can not be translated.

Distinguishing "missing" from "pending" grades
In Skyward, if a teacher enters an assignment but does not instantly post the grade (given that the due date has been entered accurately), the student/parent dashboard lists the assignment at the top of the page as "missing." However, if I enter an assignment and am in the process of grading it, I need Skyward NOT to communicate incorrect things to parents/students. Please change that. Email Progress Reports
In the standards gradebook teachers do not have an option to Select Different Classes when using the Email Detailed Progress Reports under reports. Teachers have to go through the process over and over for every class they teach. However in the secondary gradebook teachers do have the option to Select Different Classes. They can go through the process once and email all parents from all classes. I would like for you to consider adding that option to the Standards gradebook to save teachers time.

Adding column for total attendance
Teachers are requesting a column to be added to the screen where they can input grades for the marking period. This column would contain total days absent for each student. See the attachment to see exactly what screen. No impact from it not being done. Not an important feature just a request.

Quick Score Feature open thru Grade Input End
Our teachers use the Quick Score Feature in their Gradebook. However once the grading period has closed that feature is no longer available. Teachers would like to be able to use the Quick Score Feature until the Grade Input End Date expires.

Simplify the process of combining gradebooks
Simplify the process of combining gradebooks when the course has both a primary and alternate teachers.
Currently we have to remove all of the alternate teachers merge the gradebook then add the alternates back then delete the primary teacher and add them back since the last teacher added is automatically set as the primary.40 votes -
Creating Groups in Gradebook
Our district has a need to create groups in the gradebook that can be changed throughout the year. It would be beneficial to us if when a student is marked "No Count" for an assignment it would not show in student or family access. Currently the only way to group students locks them there all year. That is not the case for us.

option in gradebook to mark unscored as INCmissing
As schools change their grading policies to eliminate the giving of zeros it makes sense to have an option to "mark all un-scored as missing and incomplete". This would be an additional button leaving the "mark un-scored as 0 and missing" or a way to change the function of that button.
This option would be in response to latest educational practice which says zeros are unduly punitive and don't inspire students to follow up and do the work. An incomplete is no grade so if the student wants a grade they have to do something.

Block out grade entry for ranges of students
We are looking for a way to isolate teachers from being able to enter any grades into their grade books for a range of students. We have students of all grades within classes and coming from a variety of schools. At the end of each year we get notice from our sending schools when they want grades for their senior students as well as when they want their underclassmen grades.

update all areas to use the Gender Identity
The gradebook area is still hard coded based on the traditional gender field in Skyward. The gender identity is shown when viewing the student information but the main screen is still based on the traditional field. Please update all areas in the software to use the Gender Identity (if present) instead of the Gender field. It is very confusing to see different genders depending on where you are in the software.

Medical Grade Override Hassle
We have noticed that when the Medical override is used for a quarter that the FINAL calculation does not take the override into consideration for final average.
If there are 30 assignments before a Medical is given then the teacher needs to go through and set all 30 assignments to NO COUNT.
It would seem that applying a Medical override should do just that...Override. Override the assignments so they do not count for or against the student who now is receiving a grade override.

Make Tardies turn different color than Absences
When the teacher is taking attendance tardies turn red just like absences. It would be easier to distinguish the tardies from the absences if the tardies turned a different color like yellow.
This would make it easier for teacher to make sure they have marked the students correctly. Looking at the screen if they see yellow and no students are tardy they would know immediately that the student was marked incorrectly.36 votes -

Option to Clone Variable Scales
We need an option to clone variables scales in the secondary gradebook from entity to entity and include it as part of the year end utilities to clone from year to year.
We have 20 campuses and we have to define the percent high and low values from 1 to 100! That's 2000 we will have to enter annually when we should be able to clone them after the first 100.

Allow date range for missing assignment display
Family/Student Access - gradebook display - missing assignment list
Please don't display assignments as missing if the student is not enrolled in the class. That covers classes that have ended (from 1st semester) and classes that have been dropped. I can't imagine a time when that list could be helpful and the list loses its impact and usefulness when students learn to ignore it because "that's all old stuff I can't make up anymore anyway".

Notification of Assignments turned in Electronic
From Teacher : I'm wondering about students submitting late assignments through Skyward and if there is a way to get a notification when a student submits an assignment late. I'm finding that after I go through and grade assignments that have been uploaded I don't have a good way to know if a student submits something after that. So far the only option seems to be for me to keep checking the graded assignment to see if anything has been submitted recently. That takes a lot of checking. Entering events for specific studnts
We would like to have the option of selecting individual students or ranges of students when entering an event. Right now when entering an event the default is for the event to be applied to all students.
With standards based grading the teacher is often grading only one student or small groups of students. This would allow the flexibility for teachers to only enter the events for the students who were assessed.57 votes -
Application of trend grading to subjects
We have set up subjects within each course that each have multiple skills. We would like for the subject grade to be a trend of all events added within that subject. Right now it is set up so that each skill gets a trend rating and if we choose to grade the subject it is an average of each of the skill ratings.

It would really be helpful if this report also broke down by course. All of our PK classes report attendance in period 6. So the report combines the morning and afternoon classes together. We need the ability to show them separately.
