In Skyward, if a teacher enters an assignment but does not instantly post the grade (given that the due date has been entered accurately), the student/parent dashboard lists the assignment at the top of the page as "missing." However, if I enter an assignment and am in the process of grading it, I need Skyward NOT to communicate incorrect things to parents/students. Please change that. There is a spot for me to mark a grade as "missing" as I enter grades for students who failed to submit a particular assignment. This must be distinguishable from a pending grade for which I simply have not finished grading and entering the specific grade. Please correct this issue. "Missing" means a kid didn't do it; "pending" means the grade is being processed. Those two terms could go a long way in reducing frustration for teachers, parents, and students.
