Using Tardy Kiosk for In/Out Tracking or Students
Would like to be able to set 2 different codes on 2 different Tardy Kiosk machines to be able to track the in/out of students in a school day. Would then like to be able to run a report to automatically change codes to PIMS reporting codes at day end. Currently with only 1 code allowed we cannot determine who is coming into the building or who is leaving. This information is essential for attendance processing. Have multiple tardy kiosks options
I would like to have the option to have a late arrival and early release tardy kiosk in addition to a Truly Tardy option. This would allow us to streamline operations during attendance taking at our highschool. We would like the ability for students coming in late to school to check themselves into the building. In addition the late arrival kids that are scheduled to be out of the building during the first 2 periods need to check into the building so we know that they arrived in school. Add Student Grad/Grad Year to Report
Our Principals rely heavily on the Chronic Attendance Report. It would be very helpful for this report to include student grade level/grad year and/or the ability to sort by grade/grad year. It would also be helpful if a range of percentages could be entered and only those students print. I currently have to print it for each grade level put it in Excel and delete the students with less than 10% absent.

Need the Report Date to Appear On Membership RPT
Our Pupil Accounting department needs the report creation date to appear in the Attendance Membership Report header. This is an important piece of information that helps them when auditing.

Allow multiple days attendance to be updated
We have field trips that last more than one day. We would like to have the ability under the Entry by Class or Activity to enter a date range to update. Currently we have to go and run this and re-select the field trip for each day. It would make it much quicker and more accurate (because working in the office we get interrupted 1000 times a day) to be able to run this once for a date range.

Reset Tardy Counter on Tardy Kiosks
We restart the count of tardies for students at the start of a new semester so their sem 1 tardies don't carry into sem 2. They all start from 0 in the new semester. The Tardy Kiosk receipt that is printed still shows a cumulative count for the school year. Please consider adding the functionality of being able to reset the counter on the Tardy Kiosks at the end of a semester.

Attendance Report
After many hours and numerous service calls to skyward found there is no report within skyward that would break out attendance by day for a range of time (monthly) and then give totals for absence codes.
Need to run attendance data by month for administration. At this time no report will provide the "daily total" and then add up for a "monthly total" of # of students absent fpr what reasons. Reports are run by student not by day. By adding a range box to certain reports maybe able to accomplish this task.114 votes -
Attendance Enhancement Needed
We have a "mini" college campus @HS. We have over 350 kids that move in and out of our building on a daily basis that we need to track for attendance. We have codes set up for such but there is no simple way to enter this except one by one!
I would propose to add an enhancement in the Attendance Entry by Class or Activity screen to add a "selected days" button and a "meet" button to easily add students scheduled in certain classes that leave the building. It would also be nice to do this on individual student.…24 votes -
Email Response for Parent Entered Requests
When parents enter an attendance request an email is sent to the attendance secretary notifying the secretary of the request. When the attendance secretary opens the Parent Entered Request to Approve/Deny the request she can enter a reply to the parent. We need the reply to send an email the parent. Currently it only appears in Family Access if the parent returns to the Attendance tab.

Ability to configure Hall Pass receipt info
Similar to the Tardy Pass it would be nice to alter wehat is included on the hall pass. We would like the alphakey and other id removed since this information is the basis of their network account. The hall pass as it is now can not be used. the ability to customize it same as tardy would solve this issue

Add In/Out Times to Entry by Date Screen
Recently our staff have started to use the In/Out Minutes option for Attendance. They would love to be able to see that information on the Entry By Date screen without having to completely open up the student record. Is this something that can be added to that view?

hall pass - include signature image and email
We would like to be able to email the Hall Pass from the Attendance tab in Student Profile directly to the student's current teacher. This would immediately let the teacher know that the student should be returning to class.
We would also like to be able to insert an image of a signature on the pass so that it is signed when emailed or printed.

Use Stu Discipline Officer in Tardy Discipline
When using attendance letters to auto generate an offense for tardies (TAR) the setup will not allow the student's assigned discipline officer to be selected. It either has to be left blank or a specific name selected. This does not allow the offense to be easily viewed by the student's discipline officer. A filter could be created for blank offenses or an auto emails for this specific offense could be created but the discipline officers/assistant principals are already inundated with emails and don't want to have to frequently change their discipline filters.

Add an additional code
If a student is late more than 20 minutes our district marks the student as absent. It would be so helpful if the tardy kiosk could be set up so that an additional code could be added in with set times each period to mark the student absent instead of tardy.
This enhancement would save time for attendance secretaries who now have to run reports and then change the students tardy to an absence.67 votes -
Additional ranges in Attendance Mass Change Utils
Would like to be able to add more than one day's attendance for a class or activity. At this time we can do one day at a time using Mass add for Single Day. Also we can only add attendance for a Class/Activity/Field Trip for one day. Going in one by one per student is very time consuming. If we could get a box for absence range...or by certain day of week that could be very helpful. Absence Occurrence Report
We would like to have total columns add to the Absence Occurrence Report so that it may total AUE's by the way we do our schedule. We have a 12 day rotation schedule Day1 is 1-6 and Day 2 is 7-12. I have attached some print screens so that you may understand what I am talking about. Please let me know it this would be possible. Absence/Tardy Thresholds for PASS+ Devices
There are a few critical items needed in the Positive Attendance features to work more effectively and efficiently. PASS+ devices already read the Skyward bell schedule. Add the functionality of being able to set thresholds to count entries as tardy X number of minutes after the period begins and count entries as absent after X number of minutes into the period. PASS+ Room Allowed Based on Schedule
Students can use PASS+ to mark themselves present in any room. Please develop ability to identify if a student is in their expected/assigned room location and allow/deny student attendance based on whether student is in proper room/location. The PASS+ device currently denies attendance entry based on schedule (can't scan in during times that are not on the bell schedule).
