Online Registration Grade Levels
When setting up online registration, we are allowed to limit forms by grade level, however, it is not taking into account the school year that the online registration is for.
For example, we are setting up for 20-21 school year and will be opening long before the 19-20 school year is completed.
The restrict forms for a grade level and grade level displayed on custom forms are using the 19-20 school year grade calculation.

Add notifications of what's new in gradebook for parents (newly graded assignments, etc.)
These are ideas from a parent in our district that I actually think would be fantastic additions for all parents in Family Access since I, too, once had to keep track of a scattered child's assignments. My thought is to have some kind of "what's new" feed in Family Access that would show this information

Apply credit balance upon checkout
When a students customer account has a credit balance on it allow the parent to use this credit balance upon check out in Family Access. Currently Family Access does not do a great job with visibility of a credit balance on an account. It should show in the list of current charges/credits so that parents are reminded that the credit exists.

Need a way to send email reminders to parents who have incompleted returning student registrations
It is impossible to get an accurate list in data mining of parents with incomplete returning student registration (believe me, we've tried - verification status is not an accurate indicator and includes parents who are new to the district who are complete because they have completed new student enrollment). However, we need to periodically email our parents who have incomplete online returning student registration and have no reliable way to do so. Message Center Alerts
When a family posts a message to a teacher(s), alert the teacher via email. Or have the option to email the teacher directly through Family Access. Teachers are missing messages from the message center because they are not aware a parent sent them.

Display Next Year Schedules - Options
Hello:
In working with our schools specifically in setting up the On-Line Registration, the question has come up is if there is a way to display Next Year Schedules ONLY AFTER FEES have been PAID? In the past we have utilized the option in the FA Entity Set Up to check the box that reads: Only Show Schedule After Online Registration Completed however this does not ensure that fees have been paid. Add option to use Processing List to turn off schedules in Family/Student Access.
In the Entity Configuration for Family/Student Access, you can turn schedules off for selected students. It would be helpful to be able to use a Processing List rather than selecting one-by-one.

Mobile ID Card available to Parents in Skyward App
PLEASE make the Mobile ID Card for students available so that it can be enabled on the Family Access side for the Parent App! We need this for the ability to scan when parents come to pick up their students early. Thank you!

Open and close time period conferences in family access
It would be great in family access configuration to have a way to set time period open and close for when guardians can sign up for conferences.

Ability to change "Online Forms" label in Family/Student Access
We use our Online Forms for our Co-Curricular and Athletic forms that students have to complete each year. Student's and Parents get confused and either fill out the Online Forms instead of the Online Registration or they complain that they can't find the forms. If we had the ability to rename this label in Family/Student Access like we can for Online Registration and New Student Online Enrollment I think it would be less confusing for parents/students.

Parent absence request
Once the parent submits the absence request and it is approved by admin or staff, the unexcused absence should automatically update, the Skyward admin should not have to manually update the unexcused to excused.

Family Access Responses show Student Name/Family ID Number
When parents use Family Access to ask a question or update a student, the response should show the Student Name or at least the Family ID #. Right now it just shows the email address of the guardian, which causes us to search all the buildings for the correct student.

In Family Access and Student Access separate transcripts from the portfolio area, like report cards are separate.
We would like to use the portfolio area for registration and legal documents. But we do not always want these items displayed in family access and/or student access. But we cannot use the portfolio in this manner because this is the only area custom transcripts display. We can allow report cards to display separately, even though they are technically in the portfolio. Or another option would be to allow us to assign a type to the documents in the portfolio and then have a set up area in family access that lets us designate which types to display.

Email all teachers at one time for Family Access
Add an option to "Email Teachers" button to Family Access similar to the one that is in the Student Profile area. It would be easy for a parent to email all the teachers as a group rather than one at a time. Skyward stated this is not available but thinks a RFE would be a good idea.
Ease of use for Family Access guest to communicate in numerous situation with all scheduled teachers at one time. If enabled, guardians can post messages to all teachers via the Wall/Home.

Add Transcript As Option for Student Family Access
The goal is to provide students with quick access to information regarding when and where transcripts have been sent. The intention of this RFE is to free the school counselors of the majority of student requests for this information and to provide the requested information to students as soon as the information is entered into Skyward. The negative impact is students making multiple trips to the counselors' offices to check on the status of their transcript requests. Add transcript as an entity configuration option for students and family.

Add Option for Custom Forms in Family Access
Family Access needs a Custom Forms option. More and more districts utilize custom forms to store information create Online Forms and use forms during registration and new enrollment. Once submitted or completed parents don't get to see that information. An option should be created so that a secure option can show the form in Family Access under a Custom Forms tab which should also include a Configuration option to rename the tab if the district prefers to call it something other than 'Custom Forms.' Family 1 can allow Family 2 to do registration
Would like to see an option for Family 1 to check a box that will allow Family 2 to do registration We have close to one quarter of our population where there are two families. We have a battle raging each year on who is allowed to do what for their children. Sometimes families do not mind sharing responsibilities; however some do not want to share responsibilities. online registration and parent order
At this time only the 1st parent in the 1st family can do all of the updates. We normally put the dad in first and the mom in second but then mom who does all of the registration does not have access to all of the updates. I guarantee if we flip it to always mom we will have a dad that does all of the updates. because of this we spend a lot of time in the summer popping in to a family and changing the order if they bother to call us. On line Registration - Completion Status
Our district nurses would like to know if there is a way to flag the On-Line Registration for when guardians complete the process but then actually go back in and make additional changes - especially to health records but this would be helpful as well for all staff so that they are aware that additional changes have been made. Add report to track number of families using FA
My district is trying to determine an approximate percentage of families/guardians who utilize Family Access for each entity and in a given time frame. I can run a Login History report but that doesn't give me a count or a comparison to the total number of users for calculating a percent. Please provide a report or data mining utility that will calculate a percentage or will allow a data mining export so we can calculate Family Access Usage based on our own criteria.
