Run Attendance Totals for Previous Years

It would be helpful if we could click on the Totals button and run attendance totals for previous years. Currently, we can only run it for the current year.11 votes -

Need to be able to populate attendance based on Student Wellness screener fails/blanks
We need an attendance link/update utility between the wellness screen and the attendance screen. We already have a "failed screener" absence reason. We'd love to auto-update attendance as screener fails are entered with that code. That way a teacher who is taking attendance in any period can see if a screener-failed student is still present in class and ask them to head to the office/nurse to leave school.

Reset Tardy Counter on Tardy Kiosks
We restart the count of tardies for students at the start of a new semester so their sem 1 tardies don't carry into sem 2. They all start from 0 in the new semester. The Tardy Kiosk receipt that is printed still shows a cumulative count for the school year. Please consider adding the functionality of being able to reset the counter on the Tardy Kiosks at the end of a semester.

on the DAILY REGISTER and also on the Voc Ed Contact Hours Utility, add RANGES as a way to exclude classes ... and also add a way to add the begin / end dates without entering each one .......... our DAEP is a program (not its own campus) and I have to exclude our DAEP sections for CTE classes i.e. no contact hours for these sections and we have two large high schools and it is SOOO PAINFUL to set this up in these two areas ... and eventually I had to stop running it under 000 because the system…

Teacher - Mass Enter Attendance - Virtual Present
Indiana teachers who teach students virtually must now enter Virtual Present each day for each student. Since Skyward is hard coded to mark students Present, it will lead to a great deal of inaccurate data.
We can now add additional columns for teachers on their attendance page.
It would be great if teachers could click on the Virtual Present header to have it auto fill Virtual Present for all students.
To add some complexity, we also are currently in Stage 4. This means 1/2 of the students are virtual Mon and Tue, the other 1/2 are virtual Thu and Fri…10 votesThank you for the feedback! With the release of June Addendum 9 (10/1/2020), PR 4495470 has added a Select All option within the header of each attendance option/column setup for teacher use on the Attendance by Name screen. With this, teachers can click on the link to mass apply the appropriate option to all students, make any minor modifications as needed, and save their class attendance.
In addition, PR 4506708 was completed in Addendum 9 to make the MOI column sortable. In the event you have Method of Instruction records set to differentiate these students, teachers can sort these students together.
I hope these new options assist teachers in their daily attendance entry, but please let us know any other feedback on the topic. Thank you!

Add Processing List to Period Detail and Summary Attendence Reports and 'Today's Date' for scheduling the report
Teachers are now able to go back and edit attendance if students submitted work by 11:59 pm in all of Texas. There is no report that can be run that allows the user to default to "today's date" and allows a Processing list to be used. We need to add the Processing List feature to the "Period Detail" attendance report or the ability to add "today's date" as a setting for the "Attendance Detail or Summary" report. Email Response for Parent Entered Requests
When parents enter an attendance request an email is sent to the attendance secretary notifying the secretary of the request. When the attendance secretary opens the Parent Entered Request to Approve/Deny the request she can enter a reply to the parent. We need the reply to send an email the parent. Currently it only appears in Family Access if the parent returns to the Attendance tab.

Allow multiple days attendance to be updated
We have field trips that last more than one day. We would like to have the ability under the Entry by Class or Activity to enter a date range to update. Currently we have to go and run this and re-select the field trip for each day. It would make it much quicker and more accurate (because working in the office we get interrupted 1000 times a day) to be able to run this once for a date range.

Day Summary Report
Allow for the selection of activities in the day summary report. It would be great to schedule this report for our sports teams without having to create a processing list.

Attendance Codes linked to Discipline
After office staff enters specific attendance codes, it would be nice if a discipline entry would pop up. For example, when a Tardy code is entered, a discipline entry would pop up so that the office staff can immediately enter the discipline for the tardy. (Same goes for Unexcused absences).

Please, please, please could you link MOI to Attendance?
It would be the best way to track the dates that students are in and out of the building for remote learning, quarantine, and in-person. It would also be nice if the MOI would default to in-person. So if they went out on quarantine and the dates were pre entered, they would automatically go back to in-person when the dates were ended and they came back from quarantine. Currently tracking the dates for students in and out status is very difficult. Especially for things like Indiana's FSSA EBT card requirements should they ask again.

skylert attendance export (COVID related enhancement)
With distance learning we need the ability to pull the Skylert attendance export for the previous day's absences. We allow students to work throughout the day so teachers can adjust attendance the following morning. We'd like to continue using our automated attendance calls via School Messenger but have them turned off because there is no option from this area (WS\AD\SL) to run the export on the previous day. Please add a field that would allow us to select the previous day.

The Update Attendance History YTD Totals utility (WS\OF\AT\PS\UT\UY) does not allow updating or cloning from year to year. You cannot update it for a new year or clone it.
This means the utility and scheduled task must be recreated every school year, for every entity. This is not practical, especially for large districts.9 votes -
Attendance letter template assign to a list of students without scheduling the letters
We have our scheduled attendance letter templates set up to create and send a letter to parents once a student reaches a threshold of six unexcused absences. This letter states that the parent will need to report to the school for a mandatory conference at a set date and time to discuss their student's truancy issues and what can be done to resolve them. However, some of these parents don't show up for this meeting and then those students are sent home with a letter stating that they are on an overnight suspension until his or her parent shows up…

Need to Be able to have 2 different codes
Need to have 2 codes for tardy Kiosk. One generic code for tardy arriving and one generic code for leaving students. Skyward only provides 1 tardy kiosk code for entire district. We want to be able to track by entity and to have 2 machines with 2 different codes in entity. The positive attendance piece does not work for this as it resets with every attendance mod within the school day. We have students leaving all hours of the day and cannot have time reset every single period. The tardy kiosk will keep the time open all day so we…

Attendance comment report
The Attendance Comment Report is used by our elementary school. But instead of homeroom number, it would be more helpful to have homeroom teacher and student grade on this report. The sort by Date/Student doesn't even have HR number. We would love for HR teacher and grade level to be a choice on this report.

Consecutive Attendance Days Report
Add the option for Today - # Days to the Consecutive Attendance day Report so it can be scheduled as a daily task to send to Principal. We have 13 schools and running it daily for each school is very time consuming. I was hoping to schedule tasks.
