  1. Calendar Codes need to include 1/2 days

    When setting up calendars for employees we need to be able to enter a 1/2 work day for employees. Currently the system only recognizes full days. We use Employee Management and if I put in all the 1/2 days as full days Employee Management does not calculate the salary correctly (because the day count is over stated). The True Time schedule is able to recognize a half day so when an employee puts in a 1/2 sick day on a true 1/2 day it should show the sick hours correctly but it does not because it is showing a full…

  2. Delete by Employee with Online Forms

    You cannot currently delete an online form process for a given employee. There are instances where an employee may not need to complete the online form such as resignation or the employee letter that's posted is incorrect etc. In that case you cannot delete anyone who was assigned the online form unless you log into their profile and complete the form for them. It will always show as incomplete or outstanding.     To remove an individual from an Online Form, the Online Form will need to be deactivated temporarily. Once you deactivate you can click the Activate button again and then the Selection Parameters screen will come up where you will be able to make changes to remove the individual from the Online Form. You can do this even if the employee has already completed the Online Form.

    Note: This will only work if you make your employee selection by individual employee.

  3. Would like 'Time Left' field to be available in DM

    Our district sends out letters monthly to employees who have 6 or less sick days left. We are trying to come up with a more streamlined solution than sending out a paper letter. The time left field is currently not available in data mining. If we were able to pull this field for Sick Leave then we could set a range of 0 to 6 days left. This would generate a report with the exact employees that need letters.

    Try this instead:

    Access this same information through Employee Time Off Tracker. With the tracker, you can select employees and the time off codes you want to see. Then on the browse, you can use the filter to see employees with specific amounts. You are able to get the data you need through this method and still use task manager to notify employees.

  4. Increase PA UC decimal places from 4 to 6 digits

    Our district does the finances for a charter school that resides within our district. This charter school's PA Unemployment Compensation rate as directed by the PA Dept. of Labor is 0.036785.
    Skyward currently only allows 4 decimal places so I'm only able to enter 0.0367 or 0.0368.

    If this isn't something that can be fixed in the current Skyward software please make sure to include it in Qmlativ.

  5. Quick Add option to invoice entry

    In the Invoice Detail Lines/Accounting a Quick Edit/Add option would save time for invoices with many codes.
    This would be similar to the JE option to have a quick add/edit

    We’d like to thank everyone who voted on this idea and took the time to either respond to requests for feedback or took the time for conversations over the phone.

    We’ve been researching this request and after many conversations decided not to pursue this enhancement. We would love to deliver a quick add option to AP Invoice and fully understand the benefits from the user’s perspective. However, the complexities involved with the various account allocation options significantly complicates our ability to provide a one-size-fits-all approach.

  7. Add "ATTN TO:" field to print in Check Address

    An AP Check prints the following fields of information for a vendor in the address information:
    Line 1: Vendor 1st Name and Vendor 2nd Name
    Line 2: Address 1
    Line 3: Address 2
    Line 4: City State Zip

    We would like to add an optional new field in the Vendor FM (Address tab) for "ATTN TO:" that prints below the Vendor Name and above Address 1.
    Line 1: Vendor 1st Name and Vendor 2nd Name
    Line 2: ATTN TO: xxxxx
    Line 3: Address 1
    Line 4: Address 2

    Thank you for submitting this idea. Nelco is the authorized partner of compatible paper forms for the Skyward software. All W-2 and 1099 forms, checks, and school forms are guaranteed 100% compatible. Any issues with the check layout will need to be handled by Nelco as Skyward is unable to alter the format in anyway.

    We could really use the ability true time overseer.
    We would like another person to have the ability to approve timesheets in the event the supervisor is absent. We would like the ability to give them permissions to a specific group (like bus drivers) much like with can do with time off overseers...

  9. Bank Rec - Details on Cash Receipts

    I am requesting an option to print cash receipts details when printing the reconciliation report. Right now we just have a "Total Cash" entry as the description under the Cash Receipts section on the reconciliation report. I want to be able to justify the total cash amounts by utilizing the descriptions for each CR entry that was entered without having to go back to each Cash Receipts posted.

    Best Practice recommendation is to enter one cash receipt per batch number when you do cash receipt entry. In addition, go to PaC, System Admin, Fin Mgmt, Install Info, System Options, and make sure the flag for “Budgetary Accounting Update Summarize By Batch” is set to Yes. This will ensure each cash receipt is listed separately in the Cash Receipts area of the bank rec, which will make reconciling much easier.

    If you do not want to enter one cash receipt per batch number, you can use the Receipt Number field on the cash receipt entry screen instead. If you have the software assign a Receipt Number to each deposit, you can create a Cash Receipts report (Financial Management, Account Management, Account Mgmt Reporting, General Inputs History), sorted and totaled by Receipt Number.   10. Email Notification: Allow Advanced Custom Forms

    A previous release included the use of Advanced Custom Forms within the Task but we now realized that the same form cannot be used on the same task for the Email Notification.

    We use email notifications heavily. Without the ability to pull data from the adv custom form (name etc.) the emails are quite generic & meaningless.

  11. EXPORT TO EXCEL DATE NEEDED

    It would be nice if there was a date you could enter when looking at history to only export from that date forward. This is available on a lot of the screens in PAC where the export to excel option is.

    This would save time waiting on years of data exporting.

  12. Selecting Multiple Codes, Names, Numbers, etc.

    When selecting multiple codes names numbers checks etc. in PaC you can hold the shift key and select a range. You cannot do this on the Web. It is time consuming when you're selecting more than a few.

  13. Multiple building fields on Personnel tab

    It would be very helpful to show all buildings if an employee actually works at more than one location on the Personnel tab. If we had a primary building and alternate buildings showing it would be great to have these new fields available in Data Mining. Users now run building reports in DM but the employee may not be on their list since it does not appear in Personnel as the "main" building so the report is not accurate.     Thank you for submitting and voting on this Idea. We’ve spent some time here at Skyward doing research for this request and have determined after a thorough analysis that we will not be pursing this development.

    We discovered, that if we add multiple buildings to the employee profile, this change would create large ramifications. Building is found in many places throughout the system and the effort, impact and risk to update is not something we will be able to address at this time.

    We recommend using Employee Management Data Mining to report on Employees and all their Assigned Buildings.

    In Data Mining use Assignment as the Driver Table, In Field Areas select Position, and under Position select Position Building Code, Position Building state, and Position Building Desc. To report on all buildings associated with an Employee.

  14. PO/req group assigns in security

    It would be very helpful to see the total set up areas that a user has in the Secured screen for a user. Purchase order requisition groups and the inventory req group assignments listed in this area would make a huge difference. It would help keep things updated as users change positions and also let you know if you are cloning security to a PO/Inv req group not needed.   15. Add the ability to import data into AR Invoices

    We need the ability to import data from EXCEL into AR invoices in the same manner it is possible to populate journal entries from an EXCEL Spreadsheet. Unlike schools we do not receive state funding and therefore operate more like a business which requires monthly bills for services rendered--so an efficient AR process is critical to our success.

    Our billing data comes primarily from two separate databases--one is our workshop registration software the other is an internal database built in Drupal. Inputting the data into Skyward is too laborious with too many clicks and is of course a redundant process…

  16. Allow approvers to get notificaton of PO Overage

    Allowing an approver instead of the submitter of a purchase order to get notification that the PO went over. The negative impact would be that the person doing the budget has to go into each PO to see which ones are over.

  17. Proxy on Expense reports

    Goal: Be able to enter an expense report on another persons behalf. This would be helpful if a manager hands off a receipt for reimbursement the assistant is able to enter this as an expense and be the "proxy" for the manager. The assistant would enter the information and the approval would go to the manager for approval and then through workflow if needed.
    The expected outcome would be keeping the check request and expense reimbursements separated and still be able to see workflow.

  18. Add description field to payroll worksheet screen

    This would allow users who are entering a limited access worksheet the ability to put in a description of why an employee is getting the pay. This would help the Payroll department to audit what is being entered and would be retained for historical tracking.
    This has been a road block to using the limited access worksheets in our district.

    We currently have the Transaction Pay Code in Payroll Worksheet which can be used to add a description why an employee is getting paid. Currently, what happens is when you select the Worksheet Detail record into Payroll, it pulls all the deductions/benefits from the Pay Record Pay Code, then renames the Pay Code to the Transaction Pay Code. When it comes through on the check, it’s the Transaction Pay Code, but everything is pulled from the Pay Record with the Pay Record Pay Code. Our suggestion is to create Transaction Pay Codes, but you won’t need to create pay records with them. By doing it this way, you’ll also create consistency between the different records vs a free form description box. This way will also handle any concerns about combining worksheet detail records into payroll transactions.

    This would be VERY helpful when processing the TRS annual report. The outcome would be a quick way to check TRS wages when completing the annual report. It could be done by adding the ability to accumulate wages by a date range that would be manually entered. It is already accumulating by a predetermined date range.

    Auto approving address in employee access. You will not be able to use the auto approve option for the reason below:

    When an employee changes their address they enter a new street direction city zip. If the employee chooses a street city or zip that is not entered in your system already Skyward doesn't have a data table to pull this information from.
