Add an attachment file to the LEP/Bil/ESL Special Programs Tab.
Adding an attachment file to the LEP/Bil/ESL Special Programs Tab would allow us to add LPAC documentation and other info so teachers could pull up information without having to request it from the office or ESL Coordinator. It would save time and effort in our classrooms which in turn would benefit students.

Pop-up Confirmation for Auto Email Notifications
Oftentimes, if just switching families (for the ability to do online registration), editing an address of an already withdrawn student, adding a current student to an entity (8th gr to HS) - to name a few situations, the automated notification causes alarm among staff and parents. Instead of having to go into Automated Emails and inactivate the notification every time a simple change is needed and then having to remember to go back and activate it again, it would be helpful it there was a pop-up asking if the email notification should be sent.

Email Notification for Student Name Change
When students have been adopted and last name or other names change, send out an email notice so that those who work with the student are aware of the change. If there could also be a way to type in the 'old' name and be redirected to the 'new' name, that would be very helpful as well.

Replace Gender with Gender Identity in the header area within Student Management
In Student Management there is the ability for users to pick fields (customize) they want displayed on the header area. Please either add Gender Identity as an option or replace (preferred option) the current Gender field option with the Gender Identity field.

Add option to run Mass Change Lunch Codes by processing list
Would like the option to mass change lunch codes by processing list. (WS\ST\PS\UT\LC)
This would be very helpful for schools that are CEP/SSO and use a local socioeconomic form to determine economic disadvantage status. Processing list can be created from these forms to identify and code students that qualify as economic disadvantaged. These processing list could be used to mass change lunch codes.45 votes -
Add Additional Column to Course Master-Details View for Teacher Conferences
Add an “Allow Teacher Conferences” column to the Course Master - Course Details view to avoid having to expand each course or run additional reports to see which courses are set to allow teacher conferences and which are not.

"Interpreter Needed" checkbox on Profile
Checkbox for "Interpreter needed" on Profile Tab. We currently have a custom form to indicate when a student's family needs an interpreter for conferences. It would be extremely helpful to have an indicator in General Information that would be quickly accessible when phone communication is required.

A module that would allow schools to print ID cards using a created template.
The ability to upload a created template into Skyward where we can print student ID's (including creating a bar code).
Unless there is already the ability that I do not know about.

Allow student names to include an apostrophe when appropriate
Many cultures utilize an apostrophe when naming their children. Currently skyward doesn't allow this. I teach kindergarten and we spend a lot of time focusing on our names and talking about how important they are. I am having a hard time explainging to my student why his name looks incorrect on his report card. :( In this day and age of diversity and tolerance, maybe this is something you should consider changing within your platform?

Add school issued device to student check out form
Can we add, to the student check out form, an area to indicate that their school issued device has been returned? Or better yet, could we add in the Web Access AUP area, a way to indicate who has a device and possibly the tracking number on it? Maybe have the ability to import from Destiny (as an example). Then have that pull into the form as well.

It would be nice if transcripts could be posted to the portfolio tab the same way report cards do.

Add Guardian Language choice to the Extra Information options that can be selected for the Student Profile header
The student language field is an option on the Extra Information to Display list for the customizable header information in student profile. For our district it is more important that we can see the Family 1 home language field because that would indicate if an interpreter is needed when calling. Please consider adding the guardian language field as an option on this list. An alternative would be to create a new field called Interpreter Needed and making that available on this screen.

Add Internal ID to a student search or student browse area
The Internal ID is automatically shared to School Messenger, OneRoster and other vendors that we auto roster to. It would be very helpful, especially when troubleshooting issues, to have a way to look up a student by the Internal ID. This could be accomplished by adding it to the list of options on the Student Lookup search page or by adding it as a column on one of the student browse views.

The length of the student middle name field needs to be bigger
We have students with two or more middle names and/or two or more last names. The DOE wants their middle name reported as it appears on the birth certificate (last name, and first name as well) I have a student now who will always fail my STN report because his middle name won't fit. Can we add a character or two to the length of that field?

Add special programs View to student browse
Would like to be able to view special program data in student browse. This would be a great tool for creating reports and processing list for all areas under special programs. It would also be great to be able to create filters to share with administrators and counselors to quickly access student program data and create charts to view trends and access the data.

Add Method of Instruction and District Category to Student Profile > Ranges
We would like to see the Method of Instruction and District Category added to the Ranges options when narrowing down the Student Profile. Please add these as options for filtering. Thank you!

Order of Student Incicators
It would be nice to be able to adjust the order of the student indicators. Used to be we selected what slot, now that we have the open ended (which is FANTASTIC) we need to be able to select in what order they display.

Method of Instruction within Student Browse
Would be very helpful to have MOI as a field available in one of the Student Browse Views or create a new View for this. This would be an easy and quick way for school admins or office staff to see which students are missing a code or to set filters to display one particular group and drop them to Excel. I know they can run a data mining report but the Student Browse is much quicker and easier to use for our staff who aren't comfortable creating their own DM reports.
