Inactivate Pay Codes
A way to inactivate old pay codes no longer in use, delete would be great but just inactive so they can't be chosen would be perfect.
10 votesWe suggest using the Pay Record Audit, which can inactivate pay records that do not fall in line with an entered control date. To access the Pay Record Audit, navigate to PaC, Human Resources, Payroll, Utilities, and Pay Record Audit.

Budget line item entry via Quick Key not the entire account number
Add the Quick Key Feature to any area the Account number is listed in order to quickly enter the account number. Whether this is budget entry, revision, or in general financial management. The point of a quick key is efficiency, but it is not available where it could be utilized.

Ability to attach payment backup in AP Payment screen
We currently have ability to attach documentation to an invoice but not to the payment itself. In many instances, particularly in the payment of payroll invoices, MANY invoices makeup one payment and is time-prohibitive to attach to each invoice. It would be helpful to have the attach option to be also available in the AP payment screen.

Rolling Monthly Report
The current "Ranges" option under the field parameters in data mining only allows the ability to give the total of the monthly range and display in one column. It would he helpful to expand this option so we can select a month range, but have the report give us individual monthly totals in separate columns. This would be different than the auto-generate since that is limited by the fiscal year. This enhancement would allow us to easily create a rolling monthly history report without having to add multiple fields because we could now define the monthly range for the report.

Ability to mass remove selected employees from org chart
Org Chart
Can you please add a mass process to remove several employees under an employee at one time from the org chart. For example summer school or additional assignments that are short term however, they're setup in True Time to keep track of the pay and hours by clocking in.15 votesPR 5872178 has been created to add additional mass delete functionality to the org chart. Create way to clone a fund in order to create a new fund.
In order to create a new fund in the system you have to manually add the fund and all the accounts (Equity/Liability/Rev/Exp/Cash) to the new fund. You also have to bounce back and forth between Web and PAC. It would be nice to have a clone option for a fund available that way you choose a fund option that's already created, and clone it in order to create the new fund. All accounts will already be there and you just need to rename/number the accounts.
5 votesThere is a process in Skyward to clone funds in order to create a new fund.
On the Web, navigate to Account Management, Product Set Up, Utilities and select “Mass Add Account Transaction” Once you’ve run through that utility and reviewed the data you process it using the “Mass Add Accounts” utility.

Add district defined Position Control apha-numeric 8 digit number
Would like to see a Position Control Number that appends to the beginning of the Assignment Description when displayed. Also should be able to search by this field.

Salary Negotiations - Include _Vacants in Reports
The Employee Management Report under Salary Negotiation Reports does not include Contract dollars amounts for _Vacant positions but should. Other reports in Salary Negotiations such as Pay/Distribution and Detail and Summary reports do. I would like to see this consistent.
7 votesTo include Vacants in report, go to the Selection Parameters in the report template. Add a new parameter set or edit an existing one. Make sure the Include Vacant Assignments is checked. Save the parameter set.

Separate bank account for each credit card transaction
We use both Finance and Activity Funds on credit card transactions. When I build the invoice I only have the option to choose one bank account. Then I have to run a report to see which transactions that fell within my date range belong to a different bank account and then go into AP/Invoice entry and select that individual invoice and edit to change the bank account. It is very time consuming and if this step is missed then AP gets hung up when trying to print the check register.

Ability to attach multiple account clearance groups to one user.
I would like to see the option to attach multiple account codes to one user in the Account Clearance Groups. We have users that use more than one group. Currently you can only select one and if they need to use a different account group we have to manually change it every time. For example, the Curriculum department has multiple account groups assigned to them in Product Setup/Account Groups. However, in the credit card configuration/credit card groups/ account clearance group there is only one group to choose from. Most of the time they use the Curriculum group but If they…

Based on the rest of the question, we believe you are talking about assigning Account Clearance groups to Credit Card groups, which is a little bit different. What is the reason that an Account Clearance Group needs to be assigned to the Credit Card Groups?
When talking about the Credit Card Group configuration, I am assuming what is being said is that one or more Credit Card Groups have an Account Clearance Group assigned to them. It is true that an individual Credit Card Group can have only one Account Clearance Group assigned. But, typically, Account Clearance Groups are not assigned to a Credit Card Group. ERO Credit Import - Update Credits for References (Charter Employees)
We would like to see the ERO credit import update the credits tab for references. Currently, only regular employees are updated using this utility making it a manual process to get the charter school reference employees added for survey reporting.

Would like to save parameter sets in data mining
Why is there no way to save specific parameters in the Web Data Mining? This makes running reports in WEB very inefficient.
2 votesBudgetary Data Mining under “Runtime Report Setup” offers the option to “Change setup for this run and save setup” which creates and saves separate reports with all the selected parameters. You can even run multiple reports at the same time.
If your not using Budgetary Data Mining, which please describe which Data Mining you are using so we can better understand this request.

change the default setting on Create Prenotification download file
Change the default setting from no to yes where you are asked if you want to exclude inactive employees. It is illogical that you would default that setting to NO.

Ability to view Account Number from Entry and Approval Screen
In the invoices entry, requisition entry, purchase order entry, invoice approval, and requisition approval screens you should be able to see the expense accounts as part of the grid. This would allow you to check the account distribution without having to go into each individual invoice or requisition. Would speed up checking and make entry more consistent.

Employee Information Labels
In Student Management there is an option under Data Mining to create Information Lables directly from a Data Mining report. Having this option in HR would allow the creation of labels (i.e., for personnel files) without having to export a file to Excel and then mail merging a document. It would be a huge time saver!

Budgetary Data Mining - LFM Name format for PR
Can the payroll detail records for the Budgetary Data Mining appear with last name first? I was told that the FML format is hard coded into the system. Is that right? That makes it impossible to sort reports.

Data Mining - Report Templates Sharing Repository
While participating in the Skyward User Group online training webinars last week, I was made aware that we can "Import" custom created report(s) templated into our own Skyward install. This allows sharing with other districts. There are many creative and strong SW users creating many beneficial custom reports. I think it would be a great idea to have an online "file repository" to allow sharing of report templates with all SW users from all districts if they are willing to share.

Visual for Check Request approval
Please allow for a visual in the check request approval that views the same as the visual for the PO/req approval. This would greatly increase the speed of approving check requests as currently you have to click into each check request to see the account number. It would be much more efficient to have a visual displayed like the PO/req system approval.
