  1. Tie pay record dates to contract dates

    When you connect a pay record to a contract the pay record should stop when the contract dates end. So if an employee does not continue on with a new contract for that pay record the next year it won't automatically pay out. In the contract area you could put a box to ask if you don't want that.

    Is this request to make it so the pay record “by default” uses the paid start/stop dates on the CONTRACT to stop paying the pay record whether or not they’ve imported paid start/stop dates into their pay records with the assignment export/payroll import?

  2. Add Description to Check Request screens

    Currently our Admin's are entering check requests and required to enter Budget or Internal as the first word of their description. We have two processors and their workload is based on Budget and Internal accounts. If the Admin forgets to enter budget/internal name they could be overlooked by a specific processor. Our Admin's have asked that the description be a filter field so they can see all their submitted check requests with the detail and description so they ensure they have entered budget/internal. Admin's will have one activity view to quickly scan and make sure the word budget/internal is listed.…

  3. Area to attach employee licences certifications

    We'd like to attach a copy of a teacher license to the employee profile - preferably to the certification tab...could there be a field to attach a file at this point - much like in A/P where there is an option to upload an invoice? Having an organized place to keep a teacher license.

  4. Add dates to Budgetary Data Mining

    I honestly thought that these fields were previously available in Budgetary Data Mining. If they were there they are gone now. Notice from my attachments how HR Employee Data Mining can be sorted or found by the creation or last run date. These field are not available in Budgetary Data mining and they should be. This way we can easily sort find use or delete reports based on their creation or last run dates. We have so many data mining reports now it is very difficult to find the one you want without those dates. I've tried to flag them…

  5. ELP and Family Access

    When parents login to Family Access and look at the Grade Marks screen the red yellow green color coding we have set up in Expected Levels of Performance does not appear. For parents to be able to see the color coding they have to click on the book icon for the grading period and then click show all events. We would like for our parents to not have to go through so many steps. Also I have been informed the color coding does not show up on the mobile app at all.   6. I would like automated emails with finance to be able to notify our business office when I add an invoice type category and/or attachment to

    I would like automated emails to be added to the finance side of skyward. They are very handy in making certain data in is good and also that the appropriate people are notified to update other systems or pay purchase orders when adding invoices or attachment with category type of invoice. That way they know it can be paid and we are not waiting in October for a May PO to be paid.

  7. Untie link from Inactive Employee to SMS

    With a merged DB. When an employee is entered into the HR side they are forever unable to make changes to the record when they are also in the SM side (it says they are an employee and changes need to be made on that side). Even when the employee is inactive and has not worked her for years. That make it a problem when we add that person as an emergency contact or parent grandparent for phone and address changes. Once an Employee is inactivated on the HR side we should be able to break that tie to them…

  8. Electronic 941

    It would be nice if we could upload electronic 941's. Your website indicates that you have 2,000+ customers so that means that there are over 8,000 paper forms going to the IRS every year. Other software companies are doing this, why not Skyward?

  13. Conference Tracking

    I would like for there to be a tracker for the conferences our employees attend. We currently do this with a Google Form but it would be beneficial to have this in Skyward under Employee Access. This tracker would have fields for the employee to input what conferences they are attending and details about the conference. It would also have a place for the employee to estimated the cost of the conference. There would need to be an approval process after completing the form.

  14. posting to inactive cash accounts

    We switched banks a number of years ago and have some inactive cash accounts. Did you know that when entering cash receipts you can choose the inactive bank account and it will then post to that account when you update. It does show up on the cash receipts update report as inactive on the second page but my feeling is that it should tell you the account is inactive when selecting the bank or at least give you a warning PRIOR to the update report.

  15. ED40 Records

    Since there have been issues with ED records in Skyward and on TRS Portal it would be nice to have a clone button to clone a record. For example this month I am having an issue with TRS portal that an ED40 records have not been submitted for August contracts. However I can see the ED40 record in Skyward and TRS. Other districts have just manually entered in the records because they did not have very many to get the system to process it. I am waiting to hear back from TRS since I have multiple employees I am getting…

  16. Clone Substitute as part of Time Off Trans Clone

    It would be great to have the option of cloning the Substitute as part of the Time Off transaction clone process. I most often use the clone process for FMLA or long-term situations and many times the substitute is the same for the whole period. As it is right now I can clone the time off but then have to edit each transaction any way to update the sub field.   17. Language Spoken at Home

    Wondering if the language spoken at home can be added to the Profile screen teachers see in addition to the home/native language. Many of our teachers require this information when scheduling conferences and/or meetings that require a translator.

  18. Allow Req Changes for Emails 1 2 3 and 4

    Allow users to enter personal email address for emails 2 3 and 4 for notifications. Information could then be exported/imported to a third party software. Employees are entering and maintaining their information in one system Skyward. Office staff is not manually updating the information in Skyward and then exporting to 3rd party. Saves District staff time in maintaining this information. Add Email 1 2 3 and 4 with the ability to select if employee can change using auto-approve approval needed read only or hide - just like Phone 1 2 and 3 fields.

  19. Select Phone Category Field in Employee Access

    Enable employees to maintain their phone numbers and select Phone Category and Type. This information would then populate the information on the Phone/Email tab. District could have a Notification Phone Category so that users could select to use for school closing. Data could then be exported and uploaded to 3rd party software. Districts are currently requesting the information it is not updated in Skyward only in the 3rd party software. Would allow single entry of data. Employees can keep their phone numbers updated for notification when necessary. Districts could have an open period to allow employees to update their numbers…

  20. Add Phone Category Codes in Employee Access

    Need Employees to be able to select a phone category code when entering their phone numbers in employee access. The category codes are available on Employee Profile/Phone/Email tab. This will allow the district to create category codes that will identify the phone number that employees want to use for third party software list, i.e. school messenger.
