  1. Reports to Excel

    Excel is basically a data base management tool, with some cool features to allow making forms. The Excel download would be much more useful if it was not based on the paper report and instead just downloaded the requested data.

    For example, on a detailed operating system report, Column A lists the account number with several pieces of data across the columns showing budgets, balances, etc. It would be more useful to have the account number listed on all lines and no-subtotals.   2. ACH email to vendor needs to include invoice, description, and amount

    When sending ACH emails, currently it is just a generic "you are getting a deposit on this date". This does not help when sending multiple ACHs out with multiple invoices included to the vendor. The vendor does not know where to apply the credit. It would be nice to have the email generate the invoice number, description, and amount that is entered for the check request. The email should show the same information that the check stub shows when you print a regular check.

    This functionality already exists in SMS and is hard coded into the system.

    The email that is sent to the vendor when an ACH payment is processed contains a breakdown of the invoice information:

    1. Direct Deposit Amount
    2. Date
    3. Invoice #
    4. Description
    5. Invoice Amount

    The above information is only sent in the email itself. There is no preview information in the email setup.

    You can go to Product Setup>System Admin>Email History
    From here you can find the email sent to the Vendor, expand it, and see the actual info sent to the vendor.

  4. Accounting for wires

    Wondering if this is already posted somewhere else, might not just be wires. The Accounting for Wires doesn't mirror payable activity, particularly important across FY.

    When I'm batch updating wire payments with 2019-20 expenses, I need to do so with a 6/30/20 posting date to keep the expense in that FY. The wire has taken place in July. At the time of processing the check register, I would expect the payment to reflect as a July credit to cash, debit to the AP liability.

  5. Data Mining - Report Templates Sharing Repository

    While participating in the Skyward User Group online training webinars last week, I was made aware that we can "Import" custom created report(s) templated into our own Skyward install. This allows sharing with other districts. There are many creative and strong SW users creating many beneficial custom reports. I think it would be a great idea to have an online "file repository" to allow sharing of report templates with all SW users from all districts if they are willing to share.

  6. See adjusted duration on time-off request

    Sometimes an employee may submit their time off request but it's for the wrong duration. Example, a Para submitted 3 hours of sick time off for a dr. appointment but came back earlier than expected. The time off was already fully approved so I adjusted the duration on their profile. When the employee goes into Employee Access, they can see the adjusted duration when they select Time Off and then "My Status". However, if they go into Time Off and then "My Requests", it will show the originally submitted duration. Can we make both sections of Time off reflect the…

  7. Allow for a temporary approver to be substituted on the org chart

    We will have a True Time and Time Off approver out for a 2 month period. It would be beneficial to have the ability to add a temporary approver while that person is out. The temporary approver is already on the org chart with their own employees, so we don't want to combine the employees under one approver.

  9. Other Ways to Search for a PO or Requisition

    Add other ways to search for PO's and Req's besides the PO or Req number. Specifically by vendor, amount or date span. Most of our users (other than our AP person) are looking for a PO to view what was ordered so they can reorder, to know a price, to know a quantity, to find out an account number, etc. but they don't know the PO or Req# to search for it in Skyward.

  10. Vendor Sort by Category

    Would like to be able to add a category to vendors so we can sort by plumber or t-shirts or office supplies or etc. This can be a District created field. We just need a category drop down in Vendor Browse.

  11. Sub Tracking

    Our district uses Sub Tracking and recently I was working with staff to view the Substitute Transactions detailed in Employee Access. Right now in Employee Access each transaction has a "Paid Date" and I believe that date is the period ending date that is being used when that transaction was imported into payroll. Can that pull the actual "paid date" or "check date"? Period ending date doesn't seem super helpful when we have the transaction date already reflected.

  12. Flag to NOT allow duplicate check requests in the Check Request module

  13. Marking Employees Who Have A Medical Concern (Same as is done in the Student Management side)

    We would like to be able to mark an employee's profile similar to the way it is done on the student side who has a medical concern (IE peanut allergy, pacemaker, diabetic). This will prompt our health service team to be able to quickly manage emergencies for our employees very much like we do for students

    Custom Forms are a great option to store this information currently within Skyward.  As the custom forms have their own tab within profile, you have the ability to send this out through Online Forms as well for them to complete in Employee Access and can then easily access the information.  


    You can also secure these online forms so only users with proper security are able to access this information and keep the medical history confidential.

    Need the History button turned into an audit report. Need the ability to list all changes to payroll records just like you can list changes from the vendor side.

  15. Add Active Flag to All Codes

    As districts grow and change many times old codes are no longer relevant. From a system stand point, you really never should delete codes that have been used anywhere but leaving them in the system means they show up and can be selected by users even if the district decides they don't want to use the code any longer. I'd like to see on all codes in the system an Active checkbox. When the Active flag is unchecked then the code could no longer be selected from drop-downs in the system.   16. Expense Reimbursement Reports

    The Expense Reimbursement area currently doesn't have any reports. It would be nice if similar to Credit Cards we could run transaction reports by status such as Waiting for Approval. There currently is not a great way for District to play big brother and make sure everyone across the district is staying on top of their approvals.

  18. Favorite Widget Expansion - To allow for more favorites to be displayed rather than scroll to find them within widget.

    Most days the Favorite Widget is my GO-TO..... I would like to be able to expand this to the full column length in order to see the items I use frequently, rather than scroll through the widget to click on them.

  19. Asset Source Expense Account search

    When manually entering an asset, Skyward does not recognize the "5" as a a shortcut for the expense type in the Source Expense Account Allocation screen. An "E" has to be entered. When doing a lot of data entry this is inefficient. Please correct.
