Purchase Orders
There needs to be a better way to process purchase orders. The first improvement I would make is when you're batching purchase orders. When reviewing the Report of Batch POs, Reversals it would be nice if that report would indicate if the order will be an ecommerce or submitted via email once processed. The second improvement I would suggest is that when submitting a purchase order there should be a required indicator of whether the order will be placed by the person submitting the requisition or by the person processing the batch. Ability To Tie Specific Time Off Codes to Specific Pay Codes
We would like the ability to connect specific time off codes to specific pay codes. Time off populates into timesheets, and from the timesheet it flows into payroll. With past employers, sick/vacation/personal time taken showed up on employees pay stubs. This would also be helpful when someone received a different rate of pay for time off. This became most evident and problematic with COVID absences, but it would be helpful in VARIOUS ways that have nothing to do with COVID. Offer Void Process in Middle of A Check Run WF\AP\PP\CR\CR
If you are doing a multiple check check run (20 checks as an example) & the last 3 (or any) jam or print wrong, you should have an option within the process to pick checks that need to be voided & reprinted with new check #'s. Not having to finalize the check run & then going to Quick Void.

True Time = Updating time sheets into seperate Worksheet Selections
Within True Time = when UPDATING time sheets, if there was a button where we could individually HOLD or SELECT a specific time sheet to go into a different WORKSHEET SELECTION. For example, I am pulling in teachers time sheets and I want a couple of this group to go into a different worksheet because they need to be paid on a different date then the rest.

Add column to the time-off transactions to show the day of the week.
When adding a time-off transaction and when viewing the employee time-off transaction data, it would be nice to also see the day of the week requested. It would possibly help employees entering an incorrect date by being another reminder of the day they are entering. It would also be nice for historical purposes when reviewing patterns in time-off requests (for example, an employee who is always sick on Friday).

Create a utility to mass add/change building loc, check location and other building & add a supervisor field.
In the Human Resources =>Employee tab=> Employee=> Personnel, create a utility to mass add/change the building location, check location and other building. Also to add a supervisor field in the employee profile with mass add/change utilities.

Ability to Look Up PO's y Vendor Name
Currently the only way to search for a PO is by the PO#. There are many times we don't know the PO# and only the vendor name. So it would be helpful to be able to search for a PO by the vendor name in each PO group.

Color Code options for Employee Profile and other menus.
In Employee Profile, an option to customize the color of each tab that appears on the left hand side (Employee, Position, Tax, etc) would be nice. It would be great to have "Employee" in purple, "Position" in green, "Tax" in Red etc. It would be a lot easier and faster to find the option that I am looking for.

In PAC, Reporting, Detail check history. 1) have a "look up" button. 2) be able to create folders for reports I want to keep.
1) I save a lot of reports in Detail Check History. It would be nice to have a "lookup" feature, so I don't have to scroll through all of them. i.e. ones starting with a "T". 2) It would be very helpful to have folders where I can save & store reports for future reference. i.e. for Audits. Then I do not have to re-create them. But then they are also not cluttering the rest of my reports. Or also to have folders for reports I run every pay day--have them all together in one folder. (1) On the Web, the Vendor Check History has a lookup feature.
(2) We've heard from other Skyward customers that they use a prefix on the report description for grouping reports, this would also help when using the lookup feature on the Web.
(3) On the Web, you can schedule Reports, this is one solution to implement for the reports you run daily.

Add "Approve and Re-route" option in invoice approval.
Our A/P Specialist enters invoices, which then come to me for final approval. I would like to be able to route them to someone else for approval after I verify the accounting code.

We suggest trying this alternative solution:
Add everyone who needs to approve certain accounts as level 3 approvers and then send them an email whenever an account is used that one of them needs to approve so they can go look at the invoice.
We will continue to research the feasibility of adding a more streamlined approve and re-route option to the system. We will keep this Idea open for continued support by the Skyward user community.

Super User/ Administrator
A super user or administrator should be able to access, delete, or modify anything that is needed no matter what. There are several instances where administrators need to login under the individual user to make changes and this should not need to be done.
1 voteSkyward recommends using proper segregation of duties for the best internal controls with one super user per database. This ensures that multiple people do not have too much unauthorized access. Please check with your auditor to review best practices for internal controls.

Submit Journal Entry restricted to 100 lines
We would like to do electronic approvals for Journal Entries. We often have JEs with over 100 lines. Although the Journal Entry screen allows thousands of lines, the "Submit Journal Entry" screen (which allows for electronic approvals), has a cap of 100 lines.
I'm not sure why there would be a cap of 100 lines since I can import thousands of lines to the 'regular' Journal Entry screen.
I'd like the ability to remove this limit, or at least increase the limit.

Professional Development Request - option to display WI PI 34 Standards or no
We are Using Professional Development to track our Talent Development credits locally for moving along the matrix - it would be nice to be able to not display the WI PI34 standards on the Pre-Approval credit request as it does not apply to how we are using this part of the module.

Payroll Variance Report
In the "Post-Verification" section of payroll there should be a report that shows variances. For example it should compare the gross or net between the last payroll and the current payroll.
Each employee should be on their own line and you should be able to choose what you see on the report so you can choose to look at: net, gross, specific deductions, or specific benefits. Would help pin-point errors quickly without having to print 2 reports and having to manually compare the reports.

Employee Access -Employee Deductions and Benefits
I wish there was a way for employees to view their current deductions and benefits in Employee Access outside of having to always look at their last paycheck. This could be under Employee Access, Employee Information, Payroll. There could be a deductions section and a benefits section. Then if this was possible, we could pull this into our Open Enrollment custom forms each year as that is a popular question from employees during this time, what benefits do I currently have?

Add Vendor Address information as Option on Check Reconciliation Report
Check Reconciliation > Reports > Report by Bank has not to sequence by Payee Key. If this option is selection, add additional option to include Payee Address information to the report. This report should drop into Excel with the address information usable on a mail merge. This would allow those who need to follow up on specific checks that have not been cashed to use the file to create mail merge documents to notify the vendors.

Project/Grant Reports
In FM/Account Management, Project/Grant Management Reports, Account Activity Report, it doesn't have the option to export to Excel. Could there be an option to add it like the rest of the data mining reports? Thank you.
