Schedule to Inactivate a Security User & Staff
Our District would find it very helpful if we had the ability to schedule a date to Inactivate a Secured User and in addition the ability to add a date for making a staff member inactive. We often find a staff member is leaving the District but are given directions for specific dates to inactivate them as staff and as a secured user in both Skyward Student and Finance. It would be very helpful if a date to inactivate could be added within the secured user and staff areas of both Skyward Student and Finance.

Security for Critical Alerts on Emergency Tab
We would like the security for the Alert Information on the Emergency Information tab to be broken out from the rest of the page. We would like staff to be able to enter emergency information but do NOT want them entering Critical Alerts without prior approval. I would like to be able to separate the 2 to only make it available to a few. Currently that option exists if you are using the path ST/SI/IF/AI.

Limit who can see Social Security Numbers
Our auditors are requesting that we have the ability to limit who has access to student social security numbers for previous students. If a student is no longer active in the system they want us to be able to limit who can see those social security numbers. I know several Florida districts have been asked this this year in our audits this year and have had to state that we will work with Skyward to see if this can be addressed. Within security you can assign users to only see current student SS#'s

Two Level Authentication
Subject - Two Level Authentication
We would like Skyward to incorporate two level user authentication in each of the following areas (Employee Access/Student Access/Secured Access/NSOE/Skyward Finance/Skyward HR/Skyward Student). We need this authentication to be set up for internal and external users with a configuration for each district to select from the following three options "Internal Only" "External Only" "Both Internal and External" for each area listed above. Data Mining Reports posting to Family Access
Security setting in Data Mining reports posting to Family Access. We are requesting a warning and confirmation page when someone runs a data mining report that will get posted to Family Access. Currently if someone is not sure what they are doing they can post information to Family Access without realizing it. This can be done either by them marking Family Access in a data mining report they built or simply by running someone elses data mining report (to see what it is pulling) and not realizing the report is set to print on family access. Option to exclude account from timeout setting
We have accounts that are setup for student kiosks in the Clinic and Counselors office. Because of the attendance requirements we have our security setup to automatically log users out after 15 minutes which is also happening to these kiosk accounts. We need an option to exclude them so they don't have to login every 15 minutes.
Log kiosk machines in once and have them stay logged in forever so students can use it to check in. If the nurses & counselors have to go log back into skyward so the student can check in then they might as well…48 votes -
Add security to disable Teacher Scorecard
I have turned on the Teacher Scorecard feature. I have also enabled the Class Information link for office staff to view class rosters when clicking the Class Information Link from the Student Profile > Current Scheduling tab. I have only given permission to view the Class Roster. However the Teacher Scorecard displays as well which I don't want them to view. Security allows you to control many options of the Class Summary: Gradebook Lesson Scheduler Class Summary and Curriculum Map but not the Teacher Scorecard. I am requesting that Skyward update the password complexity requirements. Minimum password length = 8 characters. Must also meet three of the four criteria:
1) one or more uppercase letters
2) one or more lowercase letter
3) one or more numerals
4) one or more symbols
