Pin number
When running Class roster report, it would be nice to have the ability to add the student's pin number as an available option. Secretaries like to give the teachers, especially at the elementary levels, the students' pin numbers, as well as some of the other indicators that are already available to select in the Detail area. 7 votesGreat suggestion! While not directly on the Class Roster report run from Office, the student’s pin number could be something you enable teachers to run on their own class rosters from their gradebooks.
Within the Educator Access Plus District Setup (WS\EA\PS\CF\DS), you can enable the option to “Allow Teachers to display Student’s Food Service Key Pad # on Class Roster.” With this set, when the teacher adds or modifies a template for the Class Roster report (from the Reports menu on the main screen of a gradebook), they will see a check box that allows them to print this information.

Print Students schedules from Skyward like they do from Student Acess
Schedules print from Student and Family Access in a very easy to read format, especially for complex day rotations. We would like to see that type of schedule format available from Current Scheduling, Reports, Student Schedules. We have complex day rotations at our Middle School, especially our 6th grade classes with both Trimester, and Year Long Classes that meet different days throughout the week, sometimes one day, some times two days, sometime 6 days. hide a class from a students schedule and Family Access
It would be helpful to be able to hide a specific course from displaying on a students schedule or family access. We have resource "courses" that serve as a caseload and we do not want it to be view-able on the students schedule since it is not technically a class. We sync with Clever and can not use activities to sync those caseloads, so we put them in as courses.

Creating a Teacher Aide (TA) button to add a student to a section roster as a TA w/o having to create a new TA section
Creating TA specific sections of a course allows us to keep track of specific TA sections of a course for attendance, reports, etc. However it causes us to have many sections to have to be created for just one single student in this position, thus creating a large, unwieldy section master.
Could a TA button be added to scheduling so that any student enrolled in an existing section could be made a TA (shows on teacher roster as such and changes grading to P/F) by just clicking the button? We had this with a previous SIS that we used and…

Sort in Interactive Scheduling Board
When using teacher view in the interactive scheduling board, I have to click and drag each teacher to sort them in the order I want. It would be nice if I could sort them by course or department as well and it would be nice if I could select more than one at a time. I have to click and drag each one... one at a time!!!

Utility to mass delete alternates
When we decide not to run a course it is easy to mass delete requests. It would be amazing to have that option so the course isn't still sitting in their alternates.

Add grade criteria to the prerequisites
I would like to add a grade criteria to certain courses. We currently go through student selections one at a time. We have minimum grades in prereq courses for many or out AP or Accelerated courses and this would be great.

Student Current Scheduling Matrix View
We like using the Matrix view, but would like to be able to "hide" past terms, or have a filter option, so we can view Term 02 and Term 03 without seeing Term 01 for example.

Prereqs in 2.0
I would like the ability to create a prereq that could then be used for multiple classes instead of going in and doing the same set up over and over. In art all of our art classes require Art Fundamentals. Instead of recreating it for 16 other courses it could just be added - and added by year as well. Same for Biology, Chemistry, Foods - all of the building block classes.

Edit Class Meet
Once the edic class meet window is saved and the user is returned to the course master window, give me a setting to leave the section detail open that was just edited. When working on sequential sections it is difficult to always accurately click the next section after the screens have reset. Once I am done in the course and click on the next course, section details can all close.

Course Conflict Matrix Details
I'm proposing that when navigating to the Course Conflict Matrix Details (WS/OF/FS/BM/SB) we also include courses that have ZERO conflicts under the "Number of Conflicts" column. This would make much easier to know which changes we could make to our Master Schedule if we knew where we could actually move the course to - to an area that has zero conflicts. I confirmed with Skyward that the only way to view zero conflicts now under that screen would be to export the screen to excel export our Course Master (active courses only) to excel and then compare each excel spreadsheet…

We would like the option to view the course long description in the course master. Our schools like this course name better than the short description.
Either always see the long description or have a filter option to show the course long description.

Different background color for new year
The goal is to have a visual reminder when we are working in new year scheduling (instead of current year). There have been times we have inadvertently changed something in current year when we thought we were in new year. Have a different color background would prevent that.
I would like a visible distinction between new and current year to prevent errors to making changes.28 votes -
Need capability to copy template from year to year
Under the Mass Change Course Master Fields I use the Course Range option of Individual Course Selection to make Texas specific changes. For instance all my courses that are the first part of a two semester course are assigned a course sequence code of 1. The courses that are the second part of a two semester course are assigned a course sequence of 2. And the courses that are single semester only have a course sequence code of 0. I also do this with population served for certain courses among other changes.

Addition of Term Selection to WS\OF\FS\SS\RE\MR
We would really like to be able to run the Students Missing Specific Courses/Subjects report by specifying one or more terms rather than being locked into the full school year. For example we wanted to quickly produce a list of students who were missing only math courses for Semester 2. Since term selection is not available for this report we were not able to produce any reports of value. Instructional Responsibility for PVAAS
The percentage of shared instruction will set to default to the value based on dividing 100 by the number of teachers flagged as having instructional responsibility for a course. Our district has followed an 80/20 responsibility for two co-teacher courses and 55/35/10 for three co-teacher courses in our six elementary buildings. There is no way to change the default and each individual student record will need to be changed for all teachers. This will be a very time consuming task and may attribute to more errors when uploading to PIMS thus creating incorrect records in the PVAAS system. Instructional responsibility…

Add an Option to Select Grades Courses Only
Add an option to the report to select grades courses only. Currently that option is not available and our Withdrawal Form prints out on 4 pages. The negative impact is that we cannot utilize this Skyward Report with its current options.
Add a Course Selection field to select by either Range or Individual (just like the Student Selection option). Within the Ranges we would need the option to select graded courses only.
Our expected outcome is that we would not have to create a custom form document for student withdrawals. We would be able to utilize the Skyward Canned Report.33 votes -
Do not show periods on class schedule
We'd like to add the option not to display periods on schedules (just like the option to not display teacher names or room numbers). All 3 pieces of info can cause issues with students when we have to make schedule changes over the summer. We want to be able to show families which courses have been scheduled with no other information about the courses until close to the start of school.
The expected outcome is a check box to "do not show period on class" option on the Family Access schedule entity configuration screen.14 votes
