Interactive Scheduling Board Display-Column 1/Row 1 Displays
When looking at the Interactive Scheduling Board, the top row and the first column are repeated. It would be extremely if we can have the option to lock them, just like you can in Excel and they will scroll with you instead of repeating.

moi
Please add MOI as a field for setting recipient ranges in Message Center. There are many times where we have different messages for virtual vs in person students, and it would be immensely helpful to be able to designate recipients according to their MOI.

Allow Method of Instruction as a sort running Student Schedules
It would be great to have the Method of Instruction option when running student schedules to allow printing of only in-person learners. We are having our in-person learners coming into the building on Dec.

Method of Instruction - Start/End Dates
We are using the Method of Instruction as a way to keep our teachers updated on a daily basis when students are going to be in-person or virtual, as it is fluid with students staying home due to illnesses. For students staying home one day, we want to be able to put the start and end date in for today (for example) for virtual, and assign in-person for the next day. However when we do this, it removes the Method of Instruction for today.
Can the system be programed so that a start/end date of the same day starts at…

Currently, we are being asked to create multiple schedules for multiple scenarios. Would it be possible to have several Future Scheduling modules? Such as a 20-21A, 20-21B, 20-21-C? This would allow is to build all of the options and then quickly pivot when decisions are made in August.

Future Scheduling Reports - Free Period and Partial Schedules Reports
Future Scheduling Reports - Free Period and Partial Schedules Reports both have flaws in the underlying logic for the reports - neither of the reports looks at the schedule status for the student. That means if a future class was dropped, but not deleted, it still counts for the student and they don't appear on either report.
We had been running the reports to fix schedules, but knew of some students who had holes, but were not appearing on the reports. Caused lots of confusion and inaccurate schedules for students.
This idea is the result of service call #4405450. In…

add Alpha as an option in student schedule run
Not knowing what the potential constraints may be next year with COVID19 we are thinking ahead to possible scheduling options and what a school day may look like. One idea that has been floated is to split the days alphabetically and have A-K come days 1,3,5 and L-Z come days 2,4,6. So with that being said, would it be impossible to add ALPHA as an option in the schedule run area under "Balance by Student Attributes" ?

Future Course Selection Letter for Parents
It would be so nice to be able to print a Future Course Selection for each student to be mailed home to parents to confirm their student's course selections for the next school year.
I would love a format similar to report cards with the option of "Parent or Guardian" and address. Also, allow for printable comments. We'd love to be able to inform parents on this form that schedules are firm and cannot be changed after a certain deadline.6 votes -
Future Scheduling for LEP & 504 attributes
When generating a scheduling run, you have the choice to balance by "attributes". The only attributes available currently are gender, race, and SPED. This is important because it looks at codes to avoid putting too many students with the same attribute in the same section. Could we add two more attributes of LEP and 504? I think that these special populations are just as critical to balancing as is the attribute of Special Education. Since 504 and LEP codes already exist in Skyward

transfer all staff settings to new user
When one staff member leaves and a replacement is hired, it would be very helpful to have a quick way to transfer all permissions/security groups/automated email notifications/etc from one specific user to the new one. Right now, we have to go through every automated email notification rule to see whether the previous person was on the recieipent list, and some notfications (ex. unrecorded attendance) aren't even in that list, so it' very much hit and miss. The ability to transfer, or to at least generate a list of all things assigned to one user so we know what has to…

Waitlist for classes currently full
A feature that would be very helpful for counselors would be a waitlist for students to go on if room in a class opens up. For example, if a student requests to take an elective class but it is currently full if we could have a waitlist feature that we can put students on that either enrolls them in the class if a spot opens or sends us an email letting us know a spot opens. It is too difficult to remember classes that students want to take and if you have multiple counselors working on scheduling you don't know…

Pin number
When running Class roster report, it would be nice to have the ability to add the student's pin number as an available option. Secretaries like to give the teachers, especially at the elementary levels, the students' pin numbers, as well as some of the other indicators that are already available to select in the Detail area. 7 votesGreat suggestion! While not directly on the Class Roster report run from Office, the student’s pin number could be something you enable teachers to run on their own class rosters from their gradebooks.
Within the Educator Access Plus District Setup (WS\EA\PS\CF\DS), you can enable the option to “Allow Teachers to display Student’s Food Service Key Pad # on Class Roster.” With this set, when the teacher adds or modifies a template for the Class Roster report (from the Reports menu on the main screen of a gradebook), they will see a check box that allows them to print this information.
Our Customer Consultant Specialists would be able to assist with any questions on these options. Thank you!

Print Students schedules from Skyward like they do from Student Acess
Schedules print from Student and Family Access in a very easy to read format, especially for complex day rotations. We would like to see that type of schedule format available from Current Scheduling, Reports, Student Schedules. We have complex day rotations at our Middle School, especially our 6th grade classes with both Trimester, and Year Long Classes that meet different days throughout the week, sometimes one day, some times two days, sometime 6 days. The Student Access schedule lays it out in a very readable format, much better than the one available in the Current Scheduling reports. However we cannot…

hide a class from a students schedule and Family Access
It would be helpful to be able to hide a specific course from displaying on a students schedule or family access. We have resource "courses" that serve as a caseload and we do not want it to be view-able on the students schedule since it is not technically a class. We sync with Clever and can not use activities to sync those caseloads, so we put them in as courses.

Automated email - Current Year Schedule Changes - Class Is Dropped
In the
Current Year Schedule Changes - Class Is Dropped Automated Email, add the ability to select specific courses to trigger email to specific staff. More specifically we would like an email to go to our bookstore manager when a student drops a course that has a course fee attached.7 votes -
Creating a Teacher Aide (TA) button to add a student to a section roster as a TA w/o having to create a new TA section
Creating TA specific sections of a course allows us to keep track of specific TA sections of a course for attendance, reports, etc. However it causes us to have many sections to have to be created for just one single student in this position, thus creating a large, unwieldy section master.
Could a TA button be added to scheduling so that any student enrolled in an existing section could be made a TA (shows on teacher roster as such and changes grading to P/F) by just clicking the button? We had this with a previous SIS that we used and…

Sort in Interactive Scheduling Board
When using teacher view in the interactive scheduling board, I have to click and drag each teacher to sort them in the order I want. It would be nice if I could sort them by course or department as well and it would be nice if I could select more than one at a time. I have to click and drag each one... one at a time!!!

Utility to mass delete alternates
When we decide not to run a course it is easy to mass delete requests. It would be amazing to have that option so the course isn't still sitting in their alternates.

Add grade criteria to the prerequisites
I would like to add a grade criteria to certain courses. We currently go through student selections one at a time. We have minimum grades in prereq courses for many or out AP or Accelerated courses and this would be great.
