Have "Other Name" from Student Profile as a field option in the Food Service POS module.
When a student goes by a name other than their legal name, Food Service should be aware to so we use the correct name during meal service.

Food Service Reporting and Proc Lists
It would be wonderful if there was a way to create a Processing List of Food Service Payors (either inactive or active - ability to choose). This would be helpful if you need to use this payor list in other areas of the software. Currently, I needed this list of Inactive payors with balances to find out when the family left the district. It doesn't work to use data mining as there are multiple siblings and multiple withdrawal dates, etc.

When doing the general ledger update on food service, there is no way to differentiate between adjustments and payments.
When doing the general ledger update on food service, there is no way to differentiate between adjustments and payments. Please provide a way to remove adjustments from the food service general ledger update, or at least indicate on the general ledger update report that they are adjustments.

Staff that are also parents in district that are payors. We would like to have the option as to which email the notices are being sent.
We have staff members that are parents in the district and the payor notices go to the home email address and we would like for them to go to the schools email address. When their kids leave the district, the parents are not always checking the home emails and miss the notices we send them from the school for lunch balances.

Food Service Application Processing in Skyward
Currently when printing a pseudo application, a box shows up with information to be completed by the district. We need a way to enter and capture this information in Skyward without having to print out the application? Currently we capture the application from the parent through family access, physically print the application, complete the information to be completed by the district, and then scan the application back in!!!

Preferred name available in Point of Sales System.
We have transgender students that come through the lunch line. It is quite confusing and embaressing when a student comes through the line that has not legally changed their name yet. We need a be able to have a better system than using the critical wanding messages that we use for food allergies.

Determining Official Electronic Signature
Our state food service department requires that we be able to show that applications were correctly determined, the date of the determination and the signature of the determining official. It would be very convenient if this were available in Skyward so we would not have to print out each application. In a district of almost 8000 students that's a lot of applications!

Print Online Applications on 2 Pages instead of 3.
We have to print out online applications for auditors, food service people, etc. The print area is set so that it prints 3 pages and takes a lot of space in notebooks, additional paper, etc. We would like to see the print area reformatted so that it would print on 2 pages (or one page front and back). It looks like it would be simple to remove the page break prior to Step 4 and include it on page 1. Thank you!

Electronic Application
Make the electronic Application less confusing when it comes to loading family members into the allowed spaces. Children in the top. Adults ONLY in the bottom. Do not allow them to duplicate names! Have an option to "add" more students. We have some families who are unable to submit it electronically due to having more kids in the household then spaces on form.
Make it so their errors are highlighted before they are allowed to move onto the next screen. Many do no see the errors listed at the top of the final page. I have tons of applications just…

Stop Ala Carte Purchase option enabled by parents on Skyward Family Access
This is a great option, however, the message is confusing in POS. Instead of saying " A Permanent Stop Purchase option is set for STUDENT NAME," can it read "A Permanent Stop Ala Carte Purchase option is set for STUDENT NAME?

Update customer cafe in Food Service when student changes entities
When a student changes entities, their customer record is not updating their Food Service default cafeteria. When their name is entered at the POS of their new entity, a warning appears that they are not active at the new entity. This also causes reporting issues.

Make Default Entity match Cafeteria
It would be helpful if the students default entity could match their cafeteria. with a school district of 6500 students, every time a student moves from one school to another, their cafeteria has to be manually changed. This is impossible to keep track of.

Allow parents to customize their food service low balance notifications
Parents should have the ability to customize food service low balance alerts in Family access.
Currently this is controlled by checking a box to allow guardians to subscribe to food service low balance notifications in District User Settings, and then entering an amount for the low balance. We would instead like this low balance amount to be moved to Family access, so that when a parent checks the box to subscribe to the low balance notifications, they can also choose a custom amount for the low balance.36 votes -
Allow Import of Wanding Messages in Food Service.
It would be nice to either tag a health condition as a wanding message or have the ability to import wanding messages into the system via Skybuild imports. This would eliminate the possibility of accidentally serving a student that has a health related allergy because it wasnt inputted as a wanding message.

Add column with name of submitting person
We would like to have the name of the person who actually submitted the FS application added to the Pseudo Applications screen. As it stands now anyone in the family can submit the FS application but when you go to find the application you have to know the primary guardian name of the family - that is the name that appears. When our auditors come I have to give them a cheat sheet that has student names names of primary guardians and also names of the other guardians in the family so they can find the applications they are looking…
