online registration and parent order
At this time only the 1st parent in the 1st family can do all of the updates. We normally put the dad in first and the mom in second but then mom who does all of the registration does not have access to all of the updates. I guarantee if we flip it to always mom we will have a dad that does all of the updates. because of this we spend a lot of time in the summer popping in to a family and changing the order if they bother to call us. I would prefer that both parents in family 1 have the same access to alleviate this. To often we have the 2nd parent go in and do the few things they have access to and think that the family is done when many steps are missing.

I agree that family 1 is the only one who can complete the registration, but could it be an option to allow other families to complete the registration as well? We have many families who have shared custody, so by law either one should be allowed to complete the process. It could even be adding an option to the family to allow online registration. This way regardless of the order they can complete it. Then for those who the second family should not have this ability we can disable it? Similar to how we can disable the ability to access fees and food service for specific families if needed.

This would be very helpful!

I believe Tracey is correct. As long as they are both in Family One, they should be able to complete the process.

I believe that is just based on the way you have it set up. Both parents in family one are able to complete the registration forms at our district. We restrict the second family to only view the forms, but if they are listed in family one, then both parents have access. You may want to check your settings.
