A COMPLETE Skyward End of Year/Start of Year checklist
A checklist needs to be created for the entire Student Management Year End/Start of Year process from beginning to end. It would walk you through all the modules available (ex. click here for Food Service Year End (IF your district uses this module)). Once Year End is done, if there are steps that need to be done for "Start of Year" those would then be listed. The process is currently so disjointed & non-user friendly; it is so easy to miss a piece of the puzzle. 10-20 years ago I did this entire process with a different SMS & they had a checklist even back then - WHY does Skyward not have this? I would bet if this COMPLETE checklist was created, it would cut down on the number of service calls you get over the summer as people would know what they need to do & all the steps needed to do it - most of us are pretty self-sufficient as long as we have the tools/information we need accessible to us.
