To improve the accuracy of PIMS StudentStaffSubtest template I would like to see your software allow for editing the teacher effective date ranges for alternate teachers. As it is now when adding an alternate meet to the course master the effective date defaults to the beginning of the school year. Unlike the primary meeet pattern alternate meets should not be required to have a teacher represented for an entire school year.
In talking this through with the Skyward Help Desk a proposed workaround is to create an alternate meet with no teacher name listed and with the instructional responsibility check box de-selected for the time period there was no alternate teacher. Upon editing this meet record as a "Change" you are then allowed to enter the actual effective date. While this will work for the purposes of generating the PIMS reports it is not a convenient or proper way to maintain this information.
Provide an edit button for alternate meet patterns such that the effective date range can be set without having to resort to workarounds.
