Wis. Stat. sec. 118.33(1m)(a)1 Section 3266R requires high school students to pass a civics test before graduating from high school beginning with the class of 2017. How and when the exam is given and recorded is up to individual districts - no vendor no mandatory recording procedure. But it is a requirement so my district is using Skyward to track student completion and include that information on transcripts. We have a need to identify students who have not yet taken or not yet passed the exam. I can use data mining ranges to find students who have a test record with a score that does not satisfy the requirement but this doesn't identify students who don't have a test record (ex. moved to the district after the last administration so was not included on previous score import). I can use the Test Score Report settings to identify those students who don't have a test record associated to them. I can create a Processing List from that report but at this time I can't use it because the Mass Add Test feature only allows entry by range or by checking individual student names. This means students are slipping through the cracks - I'm searching for those who haven't yet met the requirement so we can make sure we provide opportunities. Data mining doesn't find students with no test record; the Test Scores report lets me find those students but doesn't provide a direct way to fix it.
I can generate the report and use it to create a processing list but can't use it to rectify the issue that caused me to create it in the first place. Ideally this could be schedule as an automated task. If you can add the ability to use processing lists to the Test Score Utilities it would allow me to attach this test record so my staff can be aware of ALL students who still have to complete the requirement.
