Teachers knowing/printing IHPs for their students
The goal of this enhancement is for teachers to be able to run a report that identifies students in their classes (My Students) who have an active IHP for the current school year and prints those IHPs. This would also be equally beneficial for Activity Advisors via Advisor Access in EA+. A similar report is available in Student Management but when a teacher runs this report there is no good way to get just their own students - It would probably have to reside in EA+ for it to filter to just the students they have in classes.
The negative impacts from not having this enhancement:
Teachers don't know which students have IHPs in their classes without opening each student's profile and looking for a * next to the IHP link. For a typical high school teacher that means opening approximately 175 student profiles per semester (7 classes x 25 students per class) just to see who "has" an IHP.
For students in their classes "with" an IHP our school requires teachers (and activity advisors) to print IHPs so they can be used in the classroom and taken with them when not in the classroom (also pertains to coaches field trips etc.) and quickly available for substitute teachers. In an emergency situation they don't have time to be trying to access the IHPs electronically and reading all of the detailed instructions contained within them on a mobile device screen. Without this enhancement teachers/advisors have to open each IHP individually (many students also have multiple IHPs) and print them individually.
When information changes on IHPs teachers/advisors need to know that and reprint those with changes. This enhancement will allow them to simply print those IHPs that have changed since "x" date (the date they last printed them) by choosing a IHP date range. Without this enhancement they have to open each student's IHP screen to check the IHP dates to determine which ones have been updated and need to be reprinted.
The reality is that IHP data is simply entered/stored into Skyward but not properly used by the people who need it (teachers/advisors) because it is such a time consuming task to know which students have IHPs print those IHPs and know/print IHPs with updates.
Expected outcomes:
Teachers will be able to easily know which students in their classes have IHPs can print IHPs for those students and can know/print IHPs that have been updated.
School nurses or office personnel will not have to print IHPs for the teachers each quarter/semester and won't have to reprint them for teachers whenever an update is made in an IHP. Teachers can do this on their own.
Teachers/Advisors will have updated and printed IHP data at their disposal that can be easily read and followed in emergency situations.
How to accomplish this:
- Provide a report in EA+ that teachers/advisors can use to identify their students with IHPs and print them in bulk. This report is already available in Student Management but cannot be filtered to just the teacher's/advisor's students. That is the nature of EA+ - It is designed to filter information to the teacher/advisor level.

Yes finding students quickly like you can with the LEP, 504, and students with disabilities. A My Students with IHP link in Teacher Access. The other feature we would like is the ability to view the IHP documents online without having to download the report.
